I'm on feet for at least 12 hrs a day and am overweight. I do my best to exercise daily and these are THE ONLY sneakers on the market that I don't need inserts when wewring! I wish they weren't so costly, because I am on a very strict budget. I also wish they came in other colors.

I've always had issues with shoes. Typically I find one shoe doesn't fit as well as the other. I've had leg/feet issues as a kid. I found a good shoe saleswoman 20 years ago and she said that I had a long arch so I need to buy bigger shoes. Since I've done that I've had fewer issues. I'd never heard of Hoka and did some research. My local shoe store sold them so I went and tried on two pair and both them both. Once was the Gaviota 2. I walk a 14 to 14:30 minute mile and do 8.3 miles in a stretch 3 times a week. I've really enjoyed this shoe. Recently I was wondering what was happening and I looked at the bottoms and the soles were toast! As you can read I'm walking fast and far and on a concrete path. I was a little disappointed. Today I just purchased another Hoka model and am going to track my miles to see if they're wearing out prematurely. The other Hoka's I purchased with the Gaviota 2 are the Challenger Low Gore-tex and I wear them casually so I'm not putting the miles on them.

I ordered multiple sizes in this model and settled on a men’s 10 EE. It’s still a bit too big but the next size down is too small. After a year this big hole is in the right shoe. Not what I expect out of a $150
Sneaker. Very comfy shoe but perhaps due too slightly too big fit it rubbed. I see others have this issue as well. Disappointing

I have struggled with shin splints my entire life- I can't even go on a walk in Nike sneakers without getting them. Once I found hokas, my shin splint woos completely went away. I recommend hokas to everyone and anyone. They are my go-to for buying gifts. The Gaviota was my second pair and I love them however, after a year or so, the plastic backs broke through the fabric and now they are unwearable. I'm not sure if this is a design of manufacturing problem but it is a bummer. It won't stop me from buying hokas but anyone looking to buy should be made aware as the same thing happened to my friend as well!

This was my 1st pair of Hokas. I have been a runner for 42 years and was looking for a shoe that would protect my joints. I had high expectations for these. They fell a little short. I still like them but not the cure-all I was looking for....That probably doesn’t exist anyway. They are ugly and I can’t slip them on and off like I can with my Brooks Adrenaline and Brooks Glycerin. They do have a snug, but comfortable fit in the heal, which is probably why they won’t come on and off without unlacing. I can’t really comment on arch support as I put insoles in. They are good shoes but the full price is very steep so I will stick to only buying them on sale when possible.

Nice and breathable. Lightweight design. I love the wide toe box. I ordered a 2E and it's perfect!

I only gave you 4 stars, because of the colors... I think you do the hardest part in the design and performance, but forget about the visual!

Putting the shoe on is a bit of a challenge because I have hip issues and the tongue of the shoe goes in. The tongue isn't long like other shoes. After walking in them they are very comfortable and the cushion is great

The wide size, which normally is preferable to me is actually boat size. Unnecessary unless your feet are actually square. Pretty comfortable tho.

The shoe is great however, the sizing is way off. Normally wear a 9.5 or a 10. In this shoe I needed an 11.5. Never have worn an 11.5 in any other brand.

First pair started to speak after about 6 months of use so I grabbed a second, identical pair so I could not speak.

These are my first Hoka running shoes. I have owned Saucony Hurricanes religiously and the difference is surprising. Frankly, I am still getting used to the Hokas and I quite like the way the shoes grab my heels.

I previously wore out 2 pairs of Gaviota version 1. Zappos was out of the Gaviota 2 in women's size 11 wide so I thought I would improvise with a Men's 9.5. These were too short. I ended up with Hoka Clifton 7 in women's size 11, regular width It is a more cushioned shoe, and I am very happy with them.

Thought I ordered wide. It was too narrow and snug. Gave it to my daughter.
