This is the lightest jacket in my Arcteryx collection. I use it in the city for cycling as well as in the mountains during summertime when temperatures are above 10c. It is very versatile and top quality. I do not find it very breathable. Occasionally, I have used it for running but since there are no vents, I would not recommend it for that activity. Highly recommended.

I've had my Squamish hoody for about a week now and I must say I love it. I have mostly used it so far while walking to and from school while it's been windy and it makes a world of a difference. It does a fantastic job of literally blocking the wind. It's ridiculously lightweight and compatible so it's easy the file away when it's not required. It I am looking forward to getting to use it while hiking (which is the main reason I bought it). Yet another reason I love it, it can be used in almost any setting because it looks nice as well as being functional.

I use this jacket every time I am outside. Both for hiking, climbing and running. It is just so breathable and comfortable so you are basically always wearing it. If not it does not weigh or fill in your pack at all.

Excellent lightweight jacket for any traveler or hiker. It repels wind and light rain. I have used it to travel and to bring it to work and it can be stored in my backpack very easily. Love Arc'Teryx products!

This is a perfect wind shell for windy fall and spring days or cold summer mornings. It has some wicking but if it touches your skin, you will get wet. It packs small in it's own check pocket. Perfect for travel. The wrinkles go away quick after unpacking. I love this jacket so much that I own a hoody and non hoody as well as the LEAF Wraith set.

Best light jacket ever! Break wind like a wall, light as a feather. I was paddling in a strong wind and flipped over in the water. I got out very fast in couple second. It kept me dry like I never flipped over. My base layer was still completely dry even though I emmersed in the water for few seconds. My friends was very impressed with this jacket's performance. It breath super well and I don't get over heated at all.

This is the best lightweight windshell ever. I`ve got one black, one blue and one orangecoloured. Squamish is used daily during spring, summer and fall. In summer I often use it with only a sports bra under. Is excellent together with woolnet or compression garments in early spring and late fall. Can also be used together with a light downjacket in winter. Is waterrepellent.

IF you are looking for a single use wind jacket for summer or extended three seasons look no further. This jacket is fantastically packable and can be used in a variety of situations. The only thing to note is the Hood is huge, but also could accommodate some helmets (which I don't know why you'd want that) For the price this jacket is a no brainer.

I have had my Squamish Hoody since 2014 and I can't do without it. It is always in my pack or on my harness when climbing. I use it for: climbing, hiking, backcountry skiing, running, cycling, bug protection, and basically an emergency layer for every activity. It is always clipped to my harness when climbing even if it is really hot out and has saved me on numerous multipitch climbs when the wind picks up and the temperature drops unexpectedly. It cuts the wind very well and provides a lot of warmth for an uninsulated jacket. The material is stretchy and loves with you. Even if the jacket isn't waterproof, it repels water well. The pocket is useful and serves as a stuff sack. The hood is great too. After 2.5 years of heavy use my jacket still looks great.

This item paired with base layer and vest covers my needs from 90+ down to 35 degrees F (somewhat stationary) and if seriously active, down to 10 degrees F or lower if acclimated. That's 80 degrees of range for a total of around 22 ounces ...to me that's nothing short of legendary!

I reviewed the older version and the pros are still valid for the upgraded one (2014) - even better. The fabric is more sturdy in general while remaining lightweight. The fit is good and with stretch to make athletic movements. The slightly longer back is appreciated and prevents that draft on the lower back. Draw cords for hem at waist and hood work well and easy to adjust (even with cold fingers). The pocket is a useful size and stuffing the jacket into it is easy, with useful attachment point after. It is a windshell so I did not expect it to be waterproof but happy when it did actually bead the water in a light shower or dewy misty weather. Not a criticism but I would say due to the features like zippers, soft hood brim etc, it is not the most ultra light for those who obsess on weight; however, it is not marketed as that and fits the Arc'teryx description online. I have more confidence with the resilience of this jacket than some others on the market and I wear it all the time.

Sehr empfehlenswert !!!

I use this jacket for almost everything I do. It's so light that I don't worry about throwing it in my pack for a backpacking trip. It has amazing windstopping abilities though in cold winds I've found that it is best paired with my Delta Jacket, that way I can strip either layer if I get to hot or it is no longer windy but still chilly. It packs into its own chest pocket which makes it manageable if I want to bring it anywhere. I've used it for a lot of gnarly jobs and the fabric has yet to rip or show any signs of slowing down. The only thing that seems to be diminishing is the water repellent coating, but that's easily remedied with any DWR treatment. In my opinion, everyone needs a Squamish.

Since I bought this hoody I have found myself selecting it from my closet to wear in all cold-weather situations. It has some nice touches: Elastic around the sleeve bottoms, zips up around your neck with the hood down. Very warm, high-tech fabric that keeps one warm and snug down to the mid-30's F. Everyone should own one of these. Worn underneath a windbreaker it's effective down to very cold temps. Great piece of gear!

My goal in selecting a layering system when ski touring is to minimize the need for time consuming layer transitions throughout the course of the day. A big part of this is selecting a layer that provides me with a wide comfort range during ascents. For me the Squamish Hoody is the indispensable layer used to fill this role. I generate a fair bit of heat while skinning so I generally need to layer down a fair bit to prevent overheating and soaking layers in sweat. Given that my touring is almost exclusively in the Coast Mountains temps are using mild so I almost never skin in a shell or insulated layer. Even lights winds can cool me enough to make it uncomfortable to skin in a base layer, this is where the Squamish Hoody comes in. I wear the hoody as the next layer after my base layer and keep it on throughout the day. During ascents the hoody breaths well enough to prevent overheating but when the wind kicks up it provides enough protection to let me keep going without adding a layer. The hood extends the comfort range of the jacket dramatically; it can be used to regulate temperature significantly. During stops or descents I add layers on top of the hoody; leaving it on allows a quick transition to skinning. Construction and finishing is up to Arcteryx's high standards. The hood is particularly well designed with excellent adjustment and good coverage. The lightweight materials make it easy to pack away in the lip of your pack or side pocket for the times when it's warm enough that I need to remove it. Overall this is a great addition to clothing system for ski touring outings, not to be left at home.

Alles in allem fr meine zwecke bestens geeignet!
