Disappointed that the jacket has no pockets along the seams to place items to carry. How to pack instruction are lacking.

Would be great if it had pockets , is it to save an ounce in the description online . This jacket is not being worn for 100 meter world record attempts, add the extra ounce and put some pockets on these already,

I bought this 6 months ago. It's lost it's shape (gone baggy), got a few holes in it and the plastic frame of the hood made a hole of its own and fell out (I can't get it back in). It's very lightweight and does a good job but it's not worth the money imo!

The description says it is water resistant but I found it leaked through very quickly while walking a dog in light mist.

Bought my usual size, and it fit great! Loved it until I went to put my hands in the pockets... no hand pockets at all. That's a no-go for me. Returned.

I love this brand and have never been let down before, until the squamish. I know it's not a rain jacket and I know it does not say it is water proof, however, I was soaked to the skin while wearing this in a light rain for less than 30 min.
I even tested it under the faucet in my kitchen sink before my trip, and the water beaded up. so off I went excited about my new purchase.
I could feel the wetness through my shirt within 10 min, but ignored it. The person behind me finally asked if my jacket was supposed to be water resistant because it was clearly not doing anything close to beading up. In fact, afterward it did not even dry quickly it was that saturated.
I did wear it after that on this trip, just not in rain ever again.
And sadly, it has already been returned.
I will continue my search for a lightweight jacket that can do it all (wind+rain).

The old luminara was stretchy, lighter, more dynamic and better. The new 30d fabric feels cheap and generic. The old fabric was loved by so many people on this jacket and others like the atom lt. The old fabric was one of the key features that made people like it much, it was a unique fabric i have not seen on other equipment. This is a huge downgrade, in my opinion, I feel like I'd be hard pressed to find out that someone likes the new gossamera better.

This is the worst piece of gear I have every purchased. It is a literal piece of paper. You know when you go into the hospital. The hospital gowns are better quality than this "jacket" . It is so flimsy it does literally 0. Super bad. Immediate return.

I am exactly size L in every measurement (according size chart). I have lots of Arcteryx clothes and every one fits me well except this one... Too tight from arms and armpits/chest. Tried XL but it is huge on waist/hem area.
I have always been praising Arcteryx quality and fit because never had any problem before. Selling product that doesnt fit the way size chart claims is serious quality problem.
Older model fits well. What is going on???

I have two. The first one I bought a couple of years ago, fits great, and I use it all the time. The second one I just bought in the same size from the factory store in North Vancouver, and it no longer has a slim athletic fit. It's very baggy and not good for mountain biking, fitting under a harness, running, etc. I no longer would recommend this.

Verified PurchaseReview for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
This is a cheaper version of the previous model - I guess. Came with cheap wrist cuffs, as opposed to the Velcro ones. Fit was not the same - seemed slimmer. Just seemed cheaper. Its becoming a trend with ArcTeryx - items are not as advertised and constant zipper problems.

Disappointed. Bought it for serious walking holiday and it is so lightweight it would need several layers to make it effective. Will be returning it.

Very poor hood design. I do not understand why the hood does not have a top/back cinch adjustment. If you are not wearing a helmet, the hood will drop in front of your eyes and impede your vision. Very frustrating especially when it is very windy when the hood is a necessity and very frustrating when running. I'm very tempted to send this jacket to Arc'teryx so they can install at least a velcro strap to pull back the hood, or maybe to my local taylor or I can just DIY.
And the hood is not big enough to accept a bike helmet.
I don't know Arcteryx, for such an expensive jacket, it surely has a bad hood design.
Other than that, the jacket blocks the wind .Hope this review serves others well.
