These pants are very nice. Two small issues: first, the "black sapphire" is more like a blue color than a black. Second, they're noisy -- they make the "swish swish" sound when you walk. Like other reviewers suggested, the waistband doesn't have much give to it. I took their advice and ordered a full size up, and the pants fit nicely. I don't think I could have gone down in size regardless -- the legs are quite tailored, and with athletic thighs, my normal size likely would have been too snug.

A great versatile pair of pants! I use it predominantly for hiking and they are very breathable and flexible. I've gone on a few muddy hikes and they always come out cleaner than I expected. The waterproof quality is great and easy to clean.

Were looking for a pair of lightweight pants for a longdistance hike this summer and thought this would meet my needs. After ordered I read theese reviews and was a bit worried about the struggle to get them on. I'm quite curvy with a woman's butt! But... yes, they are tight but I had no real problem getting them on. And I weigh a bit more than I will do when it's time to use them. They will fit perfectly! So don't let those comment discourage you from purchase.

I'd been hmming and hawwing over these pants for months and I finally gave in and purchased them. While I absolutely love them on, getting them on is a different story. Arc'teryx, I am not a large person in the slightest, so when I felt I was going to rip the waist band trying to get these things over my barely there bottom I got a bit concerned and ended up having to go up a size for fear of destroying the waist band (I should mention that even the size 6 is a slight struggle to get over my rear end). I desperately want to have the size 4 as they fit me much better once on, but that dreaded waist band has deterred me.
Other than my sizing woes I really do love the pants. So far they've held up to the rigors of my outdoor job and some backcountry hikes. And they amazingly comfortable even when I've got base layers on underneath.

I like these pants, they are great for hiking, climbing, and backcountry camping. The issue I have is the sizing, which was very off. I wear a size 4, and I wear a 6-8 in these pants! Not meant for people with any hips at all. The waistband is comfortable once it's on, but it's not as stretchy as it could be, making it uncomfortable to get on. Other than that they are decent lightweight pants for the outdoors.

I have been using these pants for summer climbing and approaches. I had to go up a full size as they fit much smaller. Comfortable under a harness, great amount of stretch doesn't restrict movement and breathable on the hotter days. My only complaint is the pockets are too small. I like to use my phone for pics and route beta, but it doesn't fit in the pocket. Despite the pockets, I will be keeping these in my summer quiver!

Buttocks and quads ratio great when you have some volume there. Combined with a flat belly. Not always easy to find. Calfs rather tight, but doesn't disturb. Fits nicely around the ankles.
Fabric is like second skin.
All weather and season proof, not to hot, nor cold.
Quick drying.
Easy to whipe of the mud.
Elegant ! and functional great for city dwelling on bike too.

The waistband on these pants have zero stretch. If you have athletic hips, these are not for you. It's a shame - the fit and cut are great for warm/humid hiking and camping.

I usually wear the same size in all of Arc'Teryx pants. These were way too tight around the thighs and the waist. However, even if these pants don't fit my body type, I can say that they're the perfect material for a breathable hinking pant. I just feel like the mensurations of this one are a little off... Maybe size up!

Purchased size 6. Am 134 lbs, 5'6" and curvy on bottom (I have hips and butt). Took the lofe of me to pull these over my butt and hips. The fit works okay on my thigh area but loose everywhere else. I recommend for slim ppl who aren't curvy on bottom. I like the material, but unfortunately will be returning as I can't hike in these and too expensive to keep.

Overall fits slightly small. Definitely tight in the waist.

Oh, how I wanted to love these pants! And really, aside from the fact that there are no rear pockets, and that the two thigh pockets are laughably small, they're great. Unfussy and mostly functional design, but the execution definitely needed some better thought.

I love how these pants look and fit! But they are not breathable at all. Super lightweight but when climbing in them or hiking all day they do not breath and I feel sweaty. Not ideal for multi-day trips. Also, the waist is not stretchy so though it fits well once on, is hard to get on and off over your butt. I would love to see this same style/fit in a more breathable fabric and with a zip/button waist.

Good things first--great minimal design, with a really streamline look and zero bulk around the waist/hips for a completely seamless layer under a harness. Plus I love that they come in a short inseam, which is the perfect length for me. BUT. Though the material has give, it's not stretchy enough to allow getting into and out of the pants with any measure of ease, especially since there's no zipper or button closure that would create a larger opening to facilitate the process! I'm very petite (5'3" and 100 lbs) so I ordered the size 00 short--once I managed to squirm my way into them the fit was fantastic--non-binding, no gapping around the waist, perfect everywhere else. But then peeling myself back out of them again was a chore that made me seriously worry about what I'd do if I had to urgently use the bathroom while wearing these pants, especially if I were even slightly sweaty. Like, you have to build in an extra 1-2 minutes to complete the task of getting yourself out of these pants, and the whole time you're worrying if you're going to bust a seam. And I have a very boyish frame, no hourglass hips to speak of.
I want to love these pants, and I do love them once I have them on, but it's getting them on and back off again that's the reason I'll be returning them.

I am 5'8.5" inches tall and normally wear a size 12 pant. I bought these in a size large. They were quite flattering and slimming around the hips but too short! I hope the company will offer these in tall women's sizes. I had to return them.

The fit is great. TTS and I love the idea of having a comfortable waistband for under heavy packs and all day hanging in a harness. However, the pockets on the sides are just barely too small for a cell phone.... WHY. Women carry more than chapstick and credits cards. Please, please, please, stop making the leg pockets too small for cell phones. This massive oversight makes these pants completely useless for hiking and climbing. Super disappointed to have to return these.

I had high hopes for these pants but they are very weird fit. I am slim with no hips and size 4tall fits me well (with little room to spare) in my waist. But the pants are quite tight everywhere else. If you want leggins with unusable pockets these pants are for you. I am going to hike through mosquito heavy areas and tight pants won't protect from bites so these are going back. Why this is so hard to get just normal hiking pants for women that are no supposed to be all tight and "hot" looking (it's my 3rd attempt...)?

Received a these as a replacement from a warranty claim in August, and by December the replacement pair had worn out with moderate wear (1-2x a week, nothing off-trail). The bum area was worn thin and ripped, both knees also worn thin and fuzzy and ripped. Pity because the color (Astral) is so gorgeous and then pants have a beautiful cut, but when you're paying for a premium product, I expect the item to last longer than six months. My thrift store pants last longer than these.

I wanted to love this pair of hiking pants and take on an upcoming backpacking trip. However, the pants were too snug and were uncomfortable in the waist. Returned the product as they did not have the next available size.

I ordered size 4 which was too tight, then ordered size 6 which seemed to fit fine. But when I wore it for my first hike, it was very uncomfortable, the waist kept riding down and didn't stay in place, so walking wearing these pants was not very comfortable. I wish I had kept the pants on for a longer period of time while trying it out, now I am stuck with something I will never wear.

I ordered a size 10 based on my waist and hip measurements. The pants I received are far too small. They don't seem to be anywhere close to the measures in the sizing chart.

These pants are nicely styled but are way too short! Arc'teryx (like many other clothing companies) needs to offer inseam choices! US women are getting taller...not shorter!

I bought these pants in a 0S because the 00S felt tight when trying them on. Had I known they were going to stretch out to two sizes too big in three wears I would have bought the smaller size. I am extremely disappointed. They've gone from fitting perfectly to falling down every 30 seconds. The draw string in the waist doesn't like to knot.
