I own two pairs of these pants and its my go to when I know I have a day of variable temperatures with random sky cover. When the wind kicks up on an exposed ridge line with sharp rocks, these pants weather the rough treatment and protect my legs from the biting effects of wind. I just roll them up when things calm down and the sun appears.
Long base layers fit well under these pants. As a woman with curves, these have a a great fashionable (but not tight) fit. Comfortable, roomy, durable, look great and easy to take care of. I'm pretty good at ripping other pants while climbing and these are standing the test of time.

These pants are perfect.. I am 5'1 and it's normally impossible to find a pair of outdoors pants that fit in either the waist or length. I was therefore pleasantly surprised that the Gamma LT fit me on both (the XS is actually XS!). The pockets work well for the bare necessities, and the built-in belt is super handy, if not a bit awkward. I was super happy to find that the pants fit well whether or not I am wearing them with a warm base layer. For me, the greatest features are the way that the pants seem to never get dirty despite the trail I'm on (maybe the mud dries then falls off without leaving a trace??), and the fact that they dry super fast. Makes a great addition to any backpacking kit list.

I have put these pants through the equivalent of an industrial durability test and they held up well. I didn't experience any of the easy tears or bunching that other reviews reference. the pants held up well, are comfortable, breathable, and flexible for more strenuous activities. The buckle and zippered pockets are also great. The downside is that they have too much material in the butt area, making it a baggy. They also fit a bit long and need to be rolled or hemmed. Not deal breakers - I still wear mine while hiking, cross country skiing, or doing outdoor activities.

These pants are great for mountain biking, they are waterproof, breathable and fit kneed-pads. The one suggestion I would make is if they could be more narrow at the bottom. They are quite wide which I don't love but I cinched the ankles to make them a little more narrow. Either way they work amazing for mountain biking and are super durable.

The pants are nice, fit well - not too tight, not too loose. Easily warn as a city pants with a sweater or for outdoor gear. The worst part about the pants - they are loud, sound like plastic rubbing together. The other issue, they are not soft on the skin, waistband is the worst. Arc'terex is the worst for excluding people who are not a size 2, I am not a size 14, but that is what I need to wear Arc'terex pants.

Got these pants for work in the alpine and wore them every day. They stretch out over time though.

I've owned these pants for just under a year now and I feel like they're almost the best pants ever. im not sure if i have a weird body or something but these pants never feel right around my crotch area. it seems like the zipper seam in inch to the left of where it needs to be, meaning im constantly readjusting while walking.
if these pants werent amazing in all other ways, that wouldve been a deal breaker. but like i said, its been almost a year and they dont look any worse for it.

I now have 3 pairs of these in 3 different sizes. I love them but the womens sizing needs to be tweaked. I am a perfect size 14 but the regular are too short and the tall are WAY too long - about 3 inches longer! Something in between would be nice, I am tall but not 6 tall! The new size 16 is a better length but huge in the waist and hips, men's large is a good fit but big in the waist, nice length. Also FALLOW is not the colour shown, it is a medium shade of sage green! Nice colour but nowhere near the stone/Lt beige colour advertised. Really nice stretchy material that moves with you, super comfortable.

I bought two pairs of these for a recent trip to Montana. Bought the black and the fallow color, both in the same size, and both a size up from what I usually buy to allow for layering. The fallow color fit perfect. The black felt like it was 2 sizes smaller even than what I typically wear and had to be returned! Arcteryx used to be my absolute go-to brand because I always knew what to expect in sizing and could count on something fitting. Not anymore (it's been bad for over a year now). The Gamma LT are nice pants and held up well to the trail hike I wore them on. I would absolute buy another pair in black and the navy blue (especially since my previous favorite hiking pants appear to have been discontinued). But I'm afraid to order because I can't count on them fitting no matter what size I buy! Arcteryx, you really need to get your sizing consistent (every color within the line should fit the same!) Unfortunately, I can't find them in a retail store, so it's roll the dice and order online (then potentially hassle with returning if sizing is inconsistent) or move on from Arcteryx. Quality and consistency isn't what it was a few years ago.

I bought a Gamma LT Pant for my wife as a gift and she loved it however she recently had an issue with it (the thigh pocket is delaminated!!!). Since I am a big fan of Arc'teryx products, I would strongly suggest to the management to rectify this issue by redesigning and NOT delaminate the thigh pocket since it's not strong enough to hold.
The gamma LT pant has been sent to Arc'teryx for repair.

Nice pant, very comfortable. I purchased these pants for walking my dog in the cold winter months adding a base layer underneath. As for sizing, I am 5'-1" at 125lbs and I got a size 6 which I found stretched out about a size. When I purchased my second pair I sized down to a 4.

Not sure if I'm going to keep these, but they do fit really well and look good too. The issue for me is the waist band - it's lined in a fleecy material, which seems like it would be hot on hikes, especially because there's also a built in belt. Not sure why they added the fleece or the belt, as a more trim/paired down waist would be better for many activities. Had thought these could be great year-round pants, but certainly not something I could hike in if temps are mild. I LOVE that they come in a 34" inseam!!!

I bought these a few weeks ago and have hiked in them four times on our Creston BC Mt Thompson trails
They fit well and look good and are warm enough to use at temperatures above 3 C. I wear size 8P. Am a very fit 5'2 and weigh 134 lb and they fit perfectly. My only complaint and constant complaint with Arcteryx is why not more colors in short sizes and why never a white pant. Am so tired of black pants but keep buying because they are so good

I am 5'10" with a 28" waist and 39.5" hips - I bought an 8/T. I could not be more happy about the long inseams - this is a GAME CHANGER. Thank you Arc'teryx for making something for the population of women over 5'5". As far as the fit goes, I seem to always end up compromising - I cannot find a brand to make pants for women with quads. I am a trail runner / hobby ski mountaineer, so I have a slim build but muscular legs. These pants fit me perfect in the waist/seat but are pretty darn tight through the legs. Lucky for me the material is very soft and stretchy, so it works.
Climbed a granite chimney in these for their first outing and they are indeed durable... I collected some scuffs on the pocket but I believe this was because I had a phone in there... All in all they functioned super well climbing!

Using them at work, nice stretchy pants, great to have 3 big pockets. Sizing is true to size I'd say, I am 63cm waist, 87cm hips and I wear size 0. Could have gone with size 00 but it's nice to have some room than none. 1 star less for a tiny disappointment: seams are coming apart so I need to send them in for a product service after using for only a few months. Other than that, it's nice to have an adjustment thingy at the bottom, waist adjustment works fine for me, the color black is awesome.

Both the belt hook and strap are designed for right hand people only...Being left hand it's really hard for me to adjust while I love everything else about it.

I am 114lbs, 5'3" and I bought size 4 Regular, it fits very loose around the hips. Pants are comfortable and warm enough for chilly mornings. I like the 3 zippered pockets, they are big and easy to access.

I have had these pants for 4 months. In that time I have scrambled over rocks and trees, taken them through water, and worn them in both cold and warm conditions (-5 deg C and snowing, and 30 deg C and sunny). I have to say I am impressed. This is a great all-round pant!
I was not expecting these pants to be so durable when I first got them because they are so lightweight and don't feel like a sturdy pant. I slid across rocks and scraped them on tree branches and there is no sign of wear aside from some tree sap that didn't come off in the wash. My legs were scratched and bruised but there is not a tear or loose fibre showing on these pants like I have seen on other fabrics from abrasion damage.
In the cold weather the water-resistant fabric really helped as I was walking through water and these hardly got wet which would have been a problem in those conditions. The parts that did inevitably get wet dried really quickly.
In warmer weather these pants were not unbearably warm, because of the lightweight breathable fabric but I did find the brushed waistband a bit warm. I do like this feature for the comfort aspect though, so it's worth it for me.
My only complaint is that the pants did stretch out after wear. All of my measurements except one fit into the category for size 0, but I ordered a size 2 after reading some of the other reviews that they were quite fitted. When I first tried them on they fit perfectly, so I kept them. After actually using the pants though, I'd say they've stretched up a size and I probably should have stuck with the 0. If it wasn't for the built in belt these would be falling off of me!
I would definitely recommend these pants, just keep in mind that after using them for activities with a lot of movement they will stretch. The pockets fit my phone, leg pocket is accessible with a backpack hipbelt, and the eyelets and drawcord at the bottom are nice features that make these super versatile.

I think of these as magic pants, since they're so comfortable and well fitting (e.g., not baggy and shapeless). I'm 5'5" and about 117 lbs.; a size 6 is very good. They would be perfect, but the Lontra and Black Sapphire colors currently don't come in a short version, so I have to turn the bottoms of the pant leg up a couple of inches.

My husband has two pairs and would rate them 5 stars. I'm 5'9'' and the regular length is too short for me. Tall is 3'' longer which is too long. I ended up returning them. Puzzled as to why the regular men's large is long enough for a 6'2'' man but size 6 or 8 regular is too short for a 5'9'' woman
