I was deeply disappointed with the inner construction of this shoe because I fell in love with the outer design. Because the heel area is massively roomy and elevated, your entire foot slides right into the toe area...painful, along with compromising your gait while walking Could not prevent it even with thick socks or orthotic inserts. Bummer! Don't waste your time and money.

These boots are constructed oddly. While standing on a flat floor, the boots made me feel as though I was standing on a crowned surface - like a large rock, for example. Meaning that my feet were not in their normal level position, but were tilted. I have never experienced this before. These would be impossible for me to wear so I am returning them.

I so wish this boot fit!!! I absolutely love it, however my heel lifts up every step! It fits length wise, but way too Big in the heel. Besides that the style is great! Sad to have to return.

Great comfortable boots - lots of compliments. I have wide feet following bunionectomy - they are comfortable and toe box is true wide fitting - fine with thin socks - but don't look like wide fitting shoes.

I got these in the olive color. They run true to size and very to easy to walk in.

Love the boots but ordered 2 pair by accident. Have returned one. Fit is good with any weight sock. Comfortable for walking.

These are a great bootie. They feel fantastic and are super cute. For those mentioning the heel slipping, the ties can be adjusted to prevent that from happening.

I usually wear a size 7 shoe, but for this shoe I needed a 7.5.

Comfortable as a Born always is. Decided against keeping to go with a bit edgier style and more heel. Great bootie.

Material was fine, but they were too small for me

Such cute boots that I have to send back. Size 11 was too small felt exactly like the size ten I ordered earlier. Disappointing.

Here is my take on the Tarkiln! The color is really nice and it isn't quite as "reddish" like in the pictures. I have narrow feet so Born always fits well; however, I do feel like Born run shorter so I always size up a half size and they fit every time. These are loose around the ankle, which I love, because I actually hate boots! I wanted a boot that looked kind of rustic and worn - not easy to find. I finally settled on the Tarkiln thinking I would be sending them back, but I haven't taken them off since I got them. Nice work Born! PS. My Zappos experience was perfection as usual! Thanks Zappos.

These boots are super cute. They fit true to size although I find them a bit loose/sloppy in the heel. But this is a common problem for me. Overall I love these boots and wear them often.

Love these shoes and have looked at them several times. They are great for my climate for just running around town. They are a smidge small, so regrettably, I have to return them. It would be great if more sellers would offer a size 10.5. Often, the 10, too small - and 11, too large. I can’t be the only person who needs a 10.5

Born boots are my go to boot. I am still wearing some I've had for years and replaced them at the end of summer this year for a new look. I can't recommend Born highly enough. I am older and it's so nice to be comfortable and look fairly fashionable.

These are so comfortable! They're true to size and very stylish. Perfect with slim or straight cut pants. I love these!

I suggest getting half size larger than you normally wear. Other than being a tad bit too short, these boots are PERFECT! So cute and comfortable. I think they'd look good with dresses, too. I had to send these back and I am waiting to be notified when the half size larger gets back in stock.

Material is great; very soft but sturdy. Seemed a bit narrow in the toes for the size indicated.

Born are my fave boots anymore and these are like the ones I've had for years. After wearing the higher ones (mid calf?) which I love, these felt very comfortable and light weight. I'm saving them for next year.

Feels slightly short and/or slightly narrow in the toe box. I went up a size but still felt the toe box felt slightly cramped.
