Love Borns and especially their boots! Can wear them a full day! Love the look of this shoe. Very comfy. Heel cup was just a bit too wide. So sad I had to return.

I have been wanting these boots and researching them for awhile before ordering. However, after getting them, I was surprised to find them smaller (in length) than I expected. I was prepared for them to be a little wide based on other reviews but did not expect the length to be a problem. I have reordered a larger size and plan on keeping those when they arrive because they are just so cute!

Very cute and seemed comfortable but made my brand new socks start sinking into the boots right away. Back they go.

Sadly, these are being returned due to the over roominess of the heel. I've never experienced that before. They felt looser than wearing clogs and I felt like my toes had to grip to keep them on. Was hoping to be one of the women that could wear these.

I love everything about these boots except for what I'd read in other reviews about the heel being too loose. I figured I could deal with it and wore them tonight for a lot of walking. My heel didn't slip out much (and it might be fine with heavier socks when the weather is cooler), but it slipped just enough with lighter weight socks that I'm already trying to figure how to put something (moleskin maybe?) in the heel so it doesn't rub and irritate. I won't send them back because in all other ways they're perfect, but I need to keep the heel from rubbing. It would be nice if Born would read these reviews and offer buyers an insert or some sort of solution. I will be reluctant to purchase any more Born boots. Darn.

I thought these were cute, but after trying them on, I decided to return them. As other reviewers have mentioned, the heels are wide, so my heels rose in the shoes as I walked. Also, the boots are cut lower than I had thought, so I couldn't keep my skinny jeans in them. Cute style, a little reminiscent of something Katniss Everdeen might have worn, according to my daughter, but just not right for me.

I have a size 8.5 Born suede boots from about 3 years ago. I purchased this pair in the same size, however it is shorter and narrow than the previous size 8.5. I would up size a least a 1/2 size or full size.

These shoes are super cute and comfortable but the “distressed gray” was definitely not gray. More brown with pink undertones. I really wish I could have kept them but the color was a dealbreaker.

Absolutely loved these! My problem was the 9s’ were too short and narrow. I ordered 9 1/2 but still too narrow. If you have wide feet they just are too snug. So wish they had these in a wide.

I am almost always a normal size 8, but for whatever reason this boot felt a lot smaller. So, I exchanged them for a 1/2 size larger, and those were too large. This has never before happened to me, so it's weird, and I'm bummed, because it's a super cute style and exactly what I wanted.

Loved the look of this bootie, but the heel area was huge, even with thick socks and/or a heel pad inserted. My heels slipped up and down when walking. I am a regular B width. The length was fine.

I really loved the look of this, and have had Born shoes before. I read the reviews about the oddly weird width on the heel and ordered them anyway. Those reviewers were right on the money. For me, as well, the heel was too wide and nothing would have helped. If I have to add pads, or moleskin or something like that to make a shoe work for me, it's not a shoe I want to deal with. Back to the "cute, comfy booties" drawing board.

I really love the look and feel of this boot. It is super comfortable. But the wide ankle means that it has a hard time staying fitted to your foot. You can tighten up the lacings some, but they look funny that way, and it doesn't help all that much. I wear a solid 9, and the shoe part fit fine. But the ankle was so loose that the shoe kept pulling my socks off. I tried an 8.5, but it was too small on my foot. Super cute shoe. Odd fit.

I waited for these to come back in stock and immediately ordered them. I love the look. Iordered an 8 1/2 which I normally wear and they were big. Then I ordered an 8 and they were still big in the heel. They are true to width except for the heel. I mean so big thet were hard to walk in. I am so disappointed I really liked the style and look of these booties. i have never had a problem with any born shoes before.

I loved the material and the look of these boots, however they were very wide in the ankle when they were zipped and I felt like the ankle was too sloppy. That being said, the shoe itself ran small. I wear a 10 and my toe was at the very end. It could be that I'm not used to such a loose fit on the top, but I had to return them, because I wasn't sure if they would work for what I wanted. I may try a size up, although I'm sure it will be pretty much the same around the ankle. They look really good though.

The fit was odd. The right shoe felt wider and the heel slipped - to the point that I checked to be sure they were both the same size. Can't say I've had that problem before...Liked them otherwise. Sorry they have to go back. :(

I wanted to Love these shoes. Other reviewers said they slipped on the heels and they do. Can't deal with that.

Read the reviews regarding the wide heel bed and how there was too much slippage as one would take a step....sure enough that happened when I put on the shoe. Tried insert - still didn't work. Unfortunate because it's a really cute shoe.

The fit was odd the heal is too wide and my foot pops out and the toe bed hit my big toe . I have lots of Borns and love them but sadly hate the fit and adore the style . Going back :(

Too small for my orthotics

Oddly enough, this boot drags any sock into the boot. I tried 3 different pairs of socks of different fabrics. All end up in the boot. I have 5 different styles of ankle boots, but none do this.

I measured my foot carefully, even though I know what size I wear. I purchased the recommended size (the largest available, and a size I usually wear in other shoe brands). I could not even get my foot in the shoe, at all. I checked the label inside the shoe, and it states the size expected. I held it up to supposedly the same size and width shoe from a different manufacturer, and this shoe is one-half of an inch shorter and a strong quarter inch less wide. Either the label is erroneous for this pair of shoes, quality control for sizing during manufacturing is spotty, or Born's designers have gone completely off the rails and decided random sizes are where it's at.

Floppy duck shoes just stupid love the way they look but just horrid shoe .... no structure and you walk like a duck in them....

Toe was narrow and tight and heel was so loose it rubbed up and down and pulled my sock half off just from walking across the room. Too bad cause these boots are adorable
