I so wanted to love this shoe. The "Brown Distressed" color is a beautiful more rust color than brown. The bootie has an inside zipper which makes it easy to get on & off. The zipper doesn't come up all the way to the top, thus, there is a "v" shaped opening below the inside of the ankle. It may be that I prefer the boot to be a tad tighter around my ankle. I often wear a 1/2 size smaller in "Born" brand, which I did in this boot. The fit seemed right, but the heel was quite loose on me. I do have a narrower heel which isn't usually an issue. Overall, I find the Born Tarkin, fairly comfortable & stylish.....

Tight in the toes but slippage through the heel in my regular 7.5 W size. Returned them.

Will re-order half size bigger

They r a little narrow. The string to tighten the heel broke.

These boots are super cute and true to size for me. Unfortunately they are very uncomfortable, especially for Born. Sadly, I had to return them for that reason.

Fit and size were ok but upper part rubbed against my ankle . Very uncomfortable. After short time of walking around home in shoes the right ankle area became red.

This order is size 9, and this pair says on the inside they are 39-40, which is too small. My old Borns in size 9 says they are 40.5, and that fits me. Confusing. Whatever the case, this size 9 is too small

Really like the style but the heel would be raw in a few minutes--rubs up and down at the back. The shoes have a moderate cushion on the bottom that would be comfortable. No arch support. Maybe someone else's feet can wear these without rubbing... I have to return.

These shoes are very stylish. However, I have to send them back (again) because they do not fit right. Too narrow and the heel slides. Sadly, this is the second time of trying with these shoes. I've worn Born shoes for 30+ years and these are not sized as previous products.

Cute, not worth the lesser fit.

The sizing is very inconsistent. Bought my normal size 6 1/2 and it felt like a 5 so I ordered a size 7 that fit like a 9. The sizes are just all over the place. Cute shoe though.

Too small and I did not like the notches around the ankle

Beautiful chocolate color, but horrible arch support on the inside. Not like the light brown color pair at all. There are bumps at the call of the toe and at the heel, making the middle of my instep fall inward and put more pressure on the part of my foot that needs support. Not comfortable enough to break in, it would hurt to walk in these.

Ouch. These really hurt my feet, rubbing at the heels. Too bad I can't return since they aren't cheap!

Purchased “distressed grey” but the color is brown. Would have loved the boots if the color was any shade of grey.

These are nice shoes, but they are tough and run small. I always get size 9, those felt much smaller and quite uncomfortable. I will order a larger size, but so far I am not impressed.

These boots were so cute but run very small. I normally wear a 10.5 but the 11 were too short.

Cute, but to big in heel area, my foot kept slipping out

The look seems bohemian, which I like. But it fits loosely. and if you try to cinch it more with the ridiculous ties, you will go insane. Plus, it won’t work. Ending my annoyance by returning the booties.

So I had tried a 6.5 on in the store and it felt good but my normal size is a 7 so I ordered a 7 of the same shoe. This size 7 was most definitely smaller than the 6.5. In addition this shoe had an oil on it that was evident in the paper it was wrapped in. I was afraid it would get all over my clothes do I sent it back. Not sure if it was just this pair bc it was not like this in the store. Also the color of this chocolate was much darker than the one in the store

I'm between a 7 and a 7.5. I always need a 7.5 in boots, and generally, do not have any length problems with a 7.5. However, these were too short. They also slipped a bit in the heel. Felt a bit stiff, too. I did not care for the strips of leather that have to be tied, and probably would not have kept them because of this even if they had fit. Nice shade of brown to wear with jeans.

The seam inside the shoe pushes on top of your foot which is very uncomfortable.

This shoe felt like it ran a bit small. For me, it was too narrow in the toe and too loose in the heel. When I walked, the shoe slide up and down on the back of my foot. It might have been possible to tighten up the leather straps, but I didn't want to adjust them because I knew I'd be returning this because the toe was so narrow.

Fun shoe keeping another I ordered but exchanging as both Born booties ran smaller than the sandals and narrower
