I actually love the look of these boots and had been considering them a while before buying. I got a 9.5 medium width and as other reviews said, the heels are wide and slip. I didn't get a 9 because my left foot is slightly bigger than my right so I normally am good with a 9.5. I did purchase a heel insert to help some. They are great looking boots but are running larger than size, which is unfortunate. It truly does feel like it is sized for a wider foot.

Runs small

I have narrow feet and with thick socks I can make these work. I went up 1/2 size after reading reviews and they work. Yes they are big in the heel. I used insoles to make them more snug and the heal in tolerable I say the gray color in a store and loved them, however, I have a pair of Gentle soles the the same color. I ordered the green , and a bit too green for me. I felt like an elf ????. I ended up with brown because I like the style so much.

I got these in the green suede and they are super cute & unique. I have many pairs of Born boots and they always fit me perfectly in size 6.5, however, the fit of this pair is a little strange. As others have commented, they fit perfectly everywhere except when I walk they slide a bit on my heel. I tried putting heel grips in them and that solved the sliding problem but made my toe hit the end of the shoe. Ultimately, after wearing them around the house for a few days I decided they were too crazy cute to return. The heel slip is not that bad and I actually think they will conform to my foot over time and be fine.

Workmanship and quality is awesome. The style is a little bit bulky for me. I have a medium to high arch and the fit is great except for that one spot that is challenging with Born shoes ... the ball of my foot. They are too narrow at the ball of my foot. I will return them.

Absolutely fell in love with these at a shoe store, but they didnt have my size. I ordered online. The heel is wonky, but socks vs. Ankle socks helps some. The toe area is wonky as well, just not soft. The 1st time I wore these my feet hurt like hell. Thicker socks helped and next time helped. So maybe put on some thick socks and wear around the house for a bit before venturing out in them. I'm a size 11, so I'm pretty much screwed if something isnt quite right.

Very happy with these boots. Super cute and comfy. The stitching & sole don't look as high quality as I'd have liked but price was reasonable for boots and glad I got them.

How do you write a review knowing you have wide feet and these are too narrow? The heel is loose. They are super cute & I wanted them to fit :(

I really, really love the style of these. I wanted to keep them so badly, but, unfortunately, they are about a half size too small. Given that my feet are at the upper end of the sizing, I'm out of luck with these... I almost kept them just to wear on occasion, but they really cramped my toes. I hope one day Born will make shoes to fit my feet!

These were sooo cute and comfy (plus well made ) but the boot part near the ankle tapped and couldn’t be tightened anymore than already was... I wanted them for a trip to New England end of October and I need snug warm boots ... so I had to send them back.

These are great shoes, but they seem to run large and wide. I had to re-order a half size smaller and still wear really thick socks with them.

Such darling boots!!! I feel in love and ordered them immedialtey. Alas, they have a very loose fit, riding up off my heel so much that a blister was formed in just a few minutes and I was shuffling trying to keep them on. They are extremely wide, and even thick socks did not help. They do not have the color I wanted in a half sice smaller. Also, if you have issue with things rubbing your ankles, dont get these, they do chaffe a bit and without socks that would be another point of pain where the zipper top is located is right on the bone. Such cute boots, I am sad to send them back! I wear an 8,5 and prefer the wide fit on most shoes if available as I live in a chilly climate. Glad they didn't have the wide...

I really like the look of this boot but it's just too wide. I have a narrow foot. I can tell that if I were to buy the next size down, it would be too short in length; yet, the 6 looks and feels like it's going to fall off my foot. I wish they came in a narrower width because they sure are nice looking!

this is an update to a previous review. I ordered another pair, same size and the fit was fine. Not sure what was up with the first pair. These get to stay:)

Love these shoes! As in reviews there is some heal slip like a lower fitting shoe or mocosin but if you get the right size very comfortable. Just don’t go into it expecting a boot.

I really love this little shoe. Very comfy right put of the box. I love the colour, and I did take others comments about the heel being loose into consideration. I'm an 11 and it fits very comfortably but the heel is more slippy than other shoe. It isn't so much that it's coming off, but if you have loose socks it pulls them down. Also the laces are merely decorative, and one broke easily on me but I just knotted it back up. That was something I would have sent back for replacing but I was leaving the county and Zappo's does not deliver to Canada. I am very happy with this shoe. Super cute with skirts and just so comfortable.

As several other people have commented, these boots are terrifically cute and very comfortable for wearing all day on my feet. They are, however, very oddly wide around the ankle. The length and width are perfect, but they make me feel that my foot is about to flop out of the shoe because they do not (even remotely) hug the heel. Luckily I found some heel inserts that seem to be doing the trick. the inserts, which are basically a firm foam strip with a sticky back, look like they will last a couple of months before needing replace. I placed them behind my ankle (about an inch up from the sole). I have to be careful of the inserts while taking shoes on and off, but while I'm wearing them, they are now perfectly comfortable and do not flop around on my feet. Thank goodness! I really love these little booties and I did not want to have to return them.

I liked this boot but not the color - the brown had a little too much red in it. I purchased the same boot in another color and a very happy with the style, fit and comfort.

I really like these shoes. the fit is perfect in the toe bed however the shoe slides off my heal. Unfortunately I will return them :( --

I love the looks of these boots and I always seem to wear a half size smaller in Born boots than my normal size. They are loose in the heal and my heals slip up while walking but, not uncomfortably.

These boots are really cute and pretty comfortable BUT my socks would not stay up with them! I think the heel is a little bit larger in these boots than other shoes and that may be the problem. I even tried different socks and every pair bunched down in the toe. I'm really disappointed because I wanted them to work. Will be sending back.

I liked the style, casual, cute. A little narrow for me, but I have wide feet... The heel, as others have mentioned was sloppily loose; walk right out of it.

The 38. “.5” seems to make this shoe fit loosely around the heel and the design does not wrap your ankle. They are comfortable but require a thick sock.

These boots were comfortable from the first time I put them on. Very cute with jeans. Never wore boots before and these have converted me.
