I started off with these as way to slowly yet deliberately drop down to 10mm from the 12mm ghosts and adrenalines I have in my rotation in order to avoid injury. These are so soft that I used them as my recovery shoe runs. But last weekend I ran a 20:45 5k competition and never felt so fast in my other brooks..I can't say it was the cushioning in particular aside from I just found the brooks shoe height is better for speed for me now. I do have to lace these tighter because they are wider than all my other brooks.

Been buying the glycerin brand for several years. The 17 is lighter weigh and it feel like I am running on pillows especially with the insoles I use.

I used to be a huge Nike guy before I switched to brooks. I swear Owned just about every Nike shoe and they would break down on me within 3 months and they were really comfortable. When my buddy showed me brooks I thought I'd try them out and I ended up loving them. I'll never switch back to Nike or anything else. Brooks are the best running shoes I've ever had.

I have been running for 3.5 years now and I used to just use ASICS like the kayanos, but some running buddies were all wearing brooks so I wanted to try them out. Best thing I ever did. I got the glycerin 17s because I like to have some cushion when I run and I did the test on the website. Very helpful by the way. The test recommend neutral cushion and the glycerin was the shoe it recommended. So I bought them and I have put in about 100 miles into them so far. The cushioning is still there unlike most cushioned shoes and the bottom is holding up good. I run heel to toe so the heel part is a bit worn but will last at least another 200 miles. The thing I don't like is that they say super soft, when it is soft but not like everyday shoes kinda soft. They look great and for my workouts they work fantastic. The sole fits my foot perfectly so I don't get that arch pain you get if the sole isn't the right fit. Overall I would give this shoe a 10 out of 10.

Great choice for people who already love the Ghost line.

This is the best shoe I have ever ran in. I'm 43 and have been running since I was 16. My Glycerin's earned their first battle scars in their first run when a dog cut me off and I wiped out. I love these shoes!

Love my new Glycerins !! Very comfortable to run in as I usually run around 15 miles/wk.

These are my new favorite running sneakers. Great support and super cushiony, usually run 4-5 miles a day and its such a plush ride. Will definitely keep these in my rotation for a long time to come.

At 71 years young, I have been running with Brooks shows and they have never failed me. Best running shoes ever. Comfortable and long lasting.

I have used Glycerin shoes for 5 years. The newer versions have better cushioning than the original ones. I had started with Glycerin 13 and 14. But the 17 seems a lot nicer.

Not a runner any more, but these are super comfortable shoes. Make sure you order a half size larger than you normally wear and save yourself the return hassle (although the return was pretty easy).

Love these shows, they look great and feel great. I have been wearing the Glycerin line since the 13s.

I have had bad trouble with plantar faciitis and these Brooks Glycerin shoes are the best I have found. They have great arch support and cushioning for this 76-year-old man. I really enjoy them.

These shoes are the best distance shoes I have ever had. The support and the cushion is incredible! I have went through Hokas and Asics etc...these are now consistently my go to since the 14s.

Love these shoes. Will never buy another pair. Great fit and never had a blister. I have just one small criticism, and I hope I'm not being petty. Don't be afraid to include a line of shoes that are a little more vibrant. Give me a wild shoe to run in! That being said, love this shoe!

Fantastic running shoe for someone looking for more support and cushion. Have always been a Asics guy until I bought my first pair of brooks. Brooks are a more comfortable fit and durability seems to be better. This is my second pair and look forward to many more

Completed Little Rock half marathon with these babies. Prior to the change to the Brooks Glycerins, I used to have to wear the kinetic tape to try and alleviate shin issues. During training and long runs, never had to tape my legs up. Great cushioning and great shoe. Just bought two more pair for my next event training.

I will say upfront I cant really run anymore due to lower disk issues, grrr..... But I do stand a lot while working. The build, quality, quality of these shoes are incredible. Softest shoes Ive owned, and I've owned dozens and dozens of pairs over the decades. asics, Suacony, Adidias, Nike etc.. These Brooks offer me what I was looking, incredibly soft, supportive foot bed, great heel strike and a snug fit. I typically wear 10.5 medium, which in this shoe was too narrow. I returned and got wide instead. Perfection. Thanks Brooks!

I'm not exaggerating when I call this the "perfect" shoe for me. After just over one year of use, this is still my everyday go-to shoe. Some background: I transitioned to Glycerin 17 from Ghosts (which I've worn dating back to the 7s) after my wife - who initially turned me on to the Ghosts many years ago - raved about her Glycerins. In the last year, I've gone from more of a casual runner/jogger logging maybe 10 miles per week to a more serious runner often logging 30+ miles per week with my weekend runs in the 8-11 mile range as I train for a half marathon. These are absolutely perfect. I can do everything in this shoe - from long easy runs to tempo runs - because no matter where I strike be it heel, midfoot, or forefoot there is enough cushion to keep me going! They also look great so if your weekend run happens to strategically end at a brewery to meet friends you'll have no reason to take these off. As you can see from the picture, these shoes have held up extremely well despite a year's worth of wear and tear (and three washes to clean them). They are such great shoes that I'm ordering another pair in navy (because, bummer, the grey is sold out in my size) so that I get at least another year of 17s on my feet. I tried to Glycerin 18 but I'm in the process of returning them, since they didn't work for me as well as this pair of 17s.

These shoes feel so good. I?m not a runner I bought him to walk in and they feel great however if you?re a runner these shoes are for you. As a walker sometimes I drag my heel and it lets me know it because it grabs to the bottom of the shoes tremendous for running on the road or running on trails. I couldn?t of been happier with any other shoe

Literally feels like jogging on clouds. Outstanding comfort for jogging on paved trails. I have high arch feet along with a previous ankle and knee injury so padding is a must. These shoes allow me to keep going without feeling any pain.

Excellent running shoe. Fits like a sock, yet has outstanding cushioning and support.

I love these shoes. They are very comfortable from day one. The only thing that would be better would be more color options for the wider width versions.
