The leather is so soft that it's peeled away in spots in the front just from driving my car and they looked very worn quickly. Not worth the money IMO, but I'm probably going to buy another pair when they go on sale because I love them so much.

Just what I was looking for, unfortunately they don't fit right. I'm going to have to return them

I have two pairs of the Basel, both purchased in the fall of 2017 (writing this in October 2018). One of them I absolutely adore. The other is super disappointing and a giant waste of money. I bought the Basel in black in my usual size, an 8. They fit well right out of the box, the leather is soft and supple, and they are amazingly comfortable for all day wear - even when walking a lot. They look great with jeans, leggings, and even a dress with tights. I loved them so much that I bought them in brown in the same size. The brown pair. Oh sad, sad brown pair. The same size in the brown are stiff, and weirdly small. I thought maybe since it was another color that the leather was just treated differently and needed to loosen up. But no. I have worn them a dozen times or more, trying to get them to loosen up and they are absolutely painful to wear. But, I tried them for so long there was no hope of returning or exchanging. Which is very sad for me, since the color is really lovely and exactly what I wanted. I would suggest going up a size if you're getting the brown. Another small note is that the heel is wrapped (which is hard to tell from photos and description). Not a big deal right away, but the wrapping on the black pair (which I have worn a lot, to be fair) is pulling away in several places, making the booties a little less "nice" looking now. Not a huge thing, but worth mentioning.

This is my second pair of Basel boots, once they are broken in you won't want to wear anything but them!! They conform to your feet, they feel Like bedroom slippers!!

Nice color but didn't fit quite right - a little high on the ankle for what I was looking for and they looked a little bulky on me - felt like I was wearing clogs. Back they went.

These are comfortable and a nice rich color but the quality is lacking. The black has faded/rubbed off the soles after just a few months. If you're looking for a quality pair of leather boots you'll have for a few seasons, these are not it. If you're ok with new boots every fall then go for it.

Just received these after purchasing online. The length is perfect buy OH MY they are NARROW, i guess i have wide feet. Does anyone know if they will stretch out because they are extremely uncomfortable?

This is more a negative comment on the process of exchanges than the boots. I love the color and feel of the boots... but, they definitely run small! Even though I purchased a half size larger than I usually wear, they are still too small. I couldn't even get my foot in the boot! Unfortunately, Lucky Brand does not make it easy to exchange a product. I had to re-purchase the boots, which by this point were not showing the sale price anymore, so I currently have paid for two pair, one being at regular price, and don't even have any boots I can actually wear. And I still have to send the current pair back, call them if I want a paid return label (which, by the way, they deduct from your return amount when it reaches the warehouse, so it is not actually postage paid by them) and call them again to have them adjust the price of the new pair once the other pair has been returned. All of this I found out over their chat feature. Why can we not just do all of this through the online chat system? Way too inconvenient. I guess they know they have us hooked on their product, so it's taken advantage of.

When I saw these boots I knew then I had to have them! They are prettier on and are so comfortable for school. My only complaint is that the shoe fits true to size but was too wide around the top. Which made it look like they were too big for me. Overall though I love them and can still rock em'.

These boots are just OK. The soles are comfortable but the edges chafe my ankles. I don't like that the soles are rubbery and feel cheap. The shoes feel slightly big, maybe half a size too big.

Bought these in black and absolutely loved them. Asked my husband to buy the toffee color for Christmas. It had snowed the first day I wanted to wear them so I treated them with leather protector. Unfortunately, this pulled large sections of the stain off the boots. They look splotchy and terrible now. Super disappointing.

love these boots but the fake leather starts to rip off like paper.

I have the rust brown bootie. The first month, the bonded leather tore on the toe and the boots easily scratched up. I'm not impressed with the quality, but I suppose you get what you pay for; could just be the rust brown ones that have this issue. The soles are good and the style is definitely cute. These seem to be designed after the Frye Sacha Moto Shortie (or vice versa) which is actually made with better leather and suede. But if you don't have $298 to spend these are the next best thing.

I usually wear a size 7, I sized up just to make sure they weren't tight. Definitely too big and loose so I returned them and ordered my usually size 7 which somehow were way too big and hanging off around my ankles but way too small and squeezing the top of my foot. Don't look as good as the pictures either. Seemed like they would be very uncomfortable. Unfortunately just not for me #sweepstakes

I loved my lucky brown boots I got 4-5 years ago. I got these as a replacement but already I am not liking them as much... The visual is different but fine. But there is no longer cloth in the inside which makes them sort of sticky/harder to slip on. They are also not nearly as comfortable. I could take my old pair anywhere!! After standing for an hour at work my feet are already sore... I like the small heel and overall design but they do not stack up to my old pair!!

I have this bootie in my current size in black and love it. When I ordered the brown at my current size it was WAY too small. So disappointed I had to return it.

Nothing special about the boot I did return them

I loved the look, but they were a half size too small. I have this same boot in black in the same size and it fits perfectly. I held them up to each other and these new boots are shorter! I had to send them back. :(

I have had these boots for less than a year and the heels have already broken through. I wear these maybe once a week? I only wear them to work and they already need to be replaced.

Works only if you have a really narrow foot

Very disappointed with the quality of the heel. I have worn them once and the heel and sole of boot are already scufffed and showing the lighter color "rubber" below. For the price, I would expect better quality.

This boot is obviously high quality but it was not a good fit for me. They were quite tight across the arch. I hate to have to send them back.
