Customer Reviews New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v9

The 1080 v9 is a highly cushioned daily trainer. The outsole is full contact blown rubber with several well placed flex grooves in the forefoot giving this shoe a good amont of flexibility. The Fresh Foam Midsole is ample and is softer than it's predecessor . Laser engravings on the lateral side add some give which enhances the midsoles cushioned feel . The upper is a soft double jacquard knit which has some stretch but will hold the foot securely . The toe box is roomy with good height . The shoe is spot on true to size with good width. I have been in the 1080 v5 , 6 , 7 and 8 with the v9 being the best yet. Good responsive cushion and a amazing fit make this one of my all time favorite shoes. Do yourself a favor and pick up a pair before there gone.

I purchased because I needed arch support to help within heel pain. The hoe is very comfortable and beneficial for me.

I have been wearing the 1080 line since the v5. The v9 in my , opinion is the best yet. The upper is of a higher quality than the previous model , offering a snug secure fit. This model ran true to size for me. The toe box is roomy offering a very comfortable forefoot feel. The new heel design is secure and locked in my heel well. The midsole is a softer more responsive version of Fresh Foam than available in previous versions. The outsole is full contact with several well placed flex groves. A all around fine update in the 1080 line of plush trainers. Bravo New Balance !

I have flat feet, am fat and just needed some comfortable shoes that didnt give me shin splints every time I broke a sweat. I had a pair of 1260's that worked great but needed a new pair. After reading alot of reviews I decided to go with another pair of 1260's until I saw how much they were. Sheesh. So I went with the 1080. I dont know if it's the shoes but I'm am now running 20 yards up hills and killing it. Love these shoes. No pain, no splints. Just excellent.

GREAT shoes! Warning - at first didn't feel like much arch support. After about a week, I guess the foam squished down enough so the support became excellent. So wait a week, it'll feel a lot better! At 79, I need cushioning and arch support for my fairly flat feet. Several previous styles from other brands changed so the new versions no longer gave good support. My intermittent lower back pain is nearly gone. I recommend these shoes. At this point, I haven't found any other shoes that work for me!

Super comfortable with a wide toe box and outstanding cushioning. Mesh is thinner than many of Brooks shoes so I may have to go to a thicker sock this winter.

The fit and size are great. Lightweight materials and the cushioning is beyond belief!

This is my second pair, & I love the cushioning when walking in them. The last pair has a lot of milage on them and still feel/ look great. They are well made and they last.

These were for my husband who has flat feet. He also gets hip and leg pain without the right shoe for him. These worked great for him and he alternates these with a different pair of shoes and has been pain free.

I teach physical education. This requires me to be on my feet all day. If I don’t get the right shoe, I’m in a heap of trouble! This is the right shoe. Nice and comfy with a good amount of support. I had the previous version last year and loved them as well. I send back as many shoes as I order, and these were not getting returned!

I loved the last line of 1080s and this pair is an upgrade! More heel support makes for a beautiful 5-mile walk. Love NB and the fact that there's a great-looking shoe for us supinators

I have neuropathy and these shoes help. My job requires a lot of standing and walking. They come in 2E and 4E which is helpful.
