I'm a pain; I've had two knee surgeries. Some sneakers work for me; many don't. The task was to match the 608s I had; she did it beautifully. We're doing fine with the new sneakers; I threw out the old ones. When we all get vaccinated, then I can get knee surgery and my life will improve tremendously. But until then. the woman on the phone got the job done beautifully.Tx.

This is my third pair of these shoes. They are very comfortable and supportive for my feet. I like to walk with my dogs and generally walk 2-3 miles/day.

60+ Year old disappointed with New Balance Quality after stitching by Big Toe failed on BOTH left and right shoes in under 60 days. Former shoes lasted over 3 years. A complaint with NewBalance was 'rewarded' with a comment that they only support direct sale merchandise.
I ended up stitching up the shoes and making sure other know not to purchase.

I have been wearing New Balance 608's for more than ten years. They are a very comfortable walking shoe! I have a short wide foot and they fit great , I wear a 2E in warm weather with thin sox and 4E in cold weather with heaver sox.
I usually buy them in brown suede but prefer a more inconspicuous shoe than the current v5's design. If the V4 design becomes available again I would gladly purchase another two pair. If they become available with a water resistant membrane I would surely try them too.

I have only worn my new shoes twice but they are comfortable. I received compliments at the dentist office and the dentist and the tech were both wearing NB shoes! They are on their feet more than me and the had nothing but good things to say.

These are some of the most comfortable, least stylish shoes I have ever worn in my life. However, that isn't what I bought them for. I bought these for shifts as a student nurse where I would be on my feet for 12-16 hours with little rest. My feet felt great after wearing these, little pain or soreness. They didn't really rub but I got a size up since I would be using socks and my feet tend to swell. I also liked the slightly wider base that prevented me from rolling my ankles. If you need a shoe where you will be on your feet all day or you need a shoe that is function over form go for this one.

When I first open the box the shoes looked great. Then I slipped them on and they fit great. The size and standard width fit my foot really well. There was good arch support and laces were the correct length and I usually tie a double knot.

The 608's are the first New Balance shoes I've ever purchased. They are by far the most comfortable shoe I've ever put on in my life. I work construction and spend most of my day on my feet. So when I come home and take my boots off I absolutely need comfort and support on my feet. The New Balance 608v5 shoe provide that. Thank you!

I wear a 4E and found the mid-portion true to size but the toe box a bit constraining. Perhaps it has been some time since I wore a leather type athletic shoe but I have found this shoe so stiff that it feels a little like wearing a box. I’m hoping they will break in to become more supple. I am into comfort but gladly admit that they are nice looking.
