I use these shoes for working out and, particularly for heavy use on the treadmill and elliptical. For that purpose they have performed excellently. Beyond that I cannot comment.

I use these for HIIT workouts, and I love the sole cushion. Great support for plank twists, skaters, and the like. The shoe helps support those awkward missteps in lunges or off-balance movements when I am burned out and just want it to be over. I am confident I won't roll and ankle, so I can think about the workout and not worry about the shoe. The sole is nice and non-abrasive for workouts on carpet in my basement. I usually wear the NB 806 for workouts (great lateral support), but the MX608 gives the support I need for a lot less $$.

This 608 version has a widened toe bed which makes the shoe about one-half inch larger. A better shoe than the v4, but still not equivalent to the earlier versions, v1 & v2. Compared to the prior version, feet are better stabilized, but the padding doesn't provide much cushioning.

If you want a shoe that ranks up there with other super-supportive overpronation shoes with ample toe box, but costs a whole bunch less, try these. You have big-time foot problems with a limited budget? And no, they do not look like orthopedic shoes. They are probably a bit clunky for running shoes, but everyday wear? This is for you. I love 'em.

I've owned multiple pairs of this model so I felt pretty safe getting these online. Unfortunately the v5 is nowhere near as comfortable to wear as my old shoes were. Pretty disappointing effort from NB.

This black pair fits perfect. True to size and listed width

Bought white/Team royal and this shoe was not true to size, It was not a 2e as marked and felt to be a half size short. (ordered a men's 7 and it felt like a 6.5. I compared it to the black pair I purchased in the same size and they were indeed narrower and shorter

Ordered 2 pairs exactly the same size. Returning the one that was shorter (too short) than the other.

I started out buying the 623 which were cheaply made and Junk. So I thought I would try the 608, same result. New Balance has lost it, shoes stink from all the cheap material they use. They resemble a shoe that you used to buy for 15.00 at a cheap shoe store. I will never buy another shoe from them. Thanks to Zappos for their great return policy and customer service.

These shoes are great. A little more arch support would improve them, but all in all they are comfortable.

Always pleased with New balance shoes. Have worn them for many years. Always look for Bargains, or sales on the 608's. They are my favorites of all the New Balance styles. Zappos shipping is just wonderful, faster than going to the store.??

It felt tight at first but after wearing around the house all was well.

Closer to the original toe box - I have worn basically the same shoe for years until they changed the toe box about 4-5 years ago and it was no longer comfortable - pressing on my right small toe. These seem to be back to the original toe box design. The only ding in the comfort rating is that the insole is decent but not great. It can be pulled out though and replaced with a custom insert if you have one. The heel cushioning has broken down inside one of the shoes pre-maturely which was a surprise to me having owned similar for years and that I wear the Dunham dress shoe brand of New Balance every day. I just called Zappos and they are sending out a replacement pair - far more than I expected. Thanks for great customer service!!!!

I wear an 18 4E and not an easy shoe to find , but these were the best feeling shoe I have had on my feet in years. Would recommend this style to anyone not as boxey as most shoe my size so I don't have to look like I have Herman Munster feet. The feel, fit, and style are amazing I give them a 4.5 stars.

Think my next pair will be one size larger seem to run little short. The white is a real white white look sharp
