I have wide, but not extra wide, feet. Normal width was too tight, but the Extra Wide sizes were too big, and my feet moved around when I tried them on in the store. Frustratingly, the couple of retailers I shopped in seemed to stock only those two choices in width. I was happy to be able to call New Balance, get the recommendation for the model most like the no-longer-manufactured 636 pair I was replacing, and order them in a double-wide that fit perfectly.

This is an excellent shoe that can be worn for dress as well as casual. Very comfortable shoe.

I have been wearing new balance shoes for 20+ years. I love the way they fit. They wear well and never let you down. I bought these as a replacement for my last pair and look forward to many months of walking and working out.

It is so comfortable and nothing bother you when you walk with it

As a Type 2 Diabetic, I require a x-wide (4E) shoe. This shoe accommodates the requirement that I need for comfort. I wear this shoe as casual wear.

I use these shoes for work. I don't have to worry about slipping and falling, since these are slip resistant. And they are so very comfortable! And my feet don't hurt at the end if the day.

Great shoe and with the pink works for breast cancer awareness!

I work for the US Post Office, these babies are the bomb. I have not experience any slipping or sliding on multiple surfaces, actually I did on a little ice. They're very comfortable once broken in which took a day wearing at work. I gave it 4 stars because I recently ordered 2 pairs and one of the two pairs is a size small, so sizing may be an issue.

I have worn New Balance for more then 20 years and most of those years wearing the 608. They feel good. I am a daily walker and these shoes work very well for me. I like the wider sole and feel more stability with these on.

Even though I ordered online and for my big-footed son, these shoes fit great. He loves them.

I purchased these to be my new work shoe. I work 12 hour shifts and need comfortable foot wear. They are very comfortable and was just what I was looking for.

These are not as comfortable as the other 2 pairs.

I bought them for working out and they are very comfortable.

They fit very well comfortable for a few hours. I would have probably researched a little better and found something more suitable for warmer weather, and gel supports My last pair were webbed and very comfortable. However toe came through webbing in only 6/7 weeks.

I'm a 6'5"/ 390 lb former athlete trying to get more daily exercise and these are fantastic shoes for my mile walks! Very comfortable and plenty of support even for someone my size.

These are my fourth or fifth pair of 608's. They are comfortable from the box and give great wear. I have and will continue to recommend them to friends and acquaintances. Based on my former pairs, I know that these will give good value. When I have to replace them, I wear the old ones to kick around the yard. Thanks New Balance for a product that I can go back for time and time again.

I LEAD EXERCISE CLASSES DAILY ABD WEAR THE 608'S. I HAVE A COUPLE OF PAIR . THEY FEEL GREAT. I HAVE AN ALL WHITE PAIR THAT GETS INTERCHANGE WITH A NAVY AND WHITE PAIR. THE SHOE STRINGS DO NOT NEED TO BE SOOOO LONG.

I bought these 608 shoes for walking. They are very comfortable and easy on both feet and knees. Clean styling too!JAM1

I purchased the 608's to wear to my kid's sporting events during cold weather months. They are very comfortable and serve the purpose. I have other New Balance shoes for running and working out.

I found these shoes to be constructed well. However, they are tight and pinch around the toes. Hopefully, after breaking them in, they will feel more comfortable. These are the first NB shoes that I have not been totally satisfied with. I have learned to stick with the model that I feel most comfortable with but I needed black shoes.
