I have Gout, the Black breathing line comes down right on top of my Bunion, it turned my bunion fire engine red in about 20 minutes , but it a great shoe for most people I'm sure, Not Me. I have used New balance for many years with no problem, just this model isn't for me.

The fit and comfort are good. Initially the flexibility around the toe box is a little stiff, but I imagine that will loosen up over time. I've only had them for 2 weeks.

Comfortable wear. Looks great. Fits true to the size I ordered.

My hard to fit feet are comfy in the NB 608 v5, after some breaking in.

The NB 608V5 tends to make your feet sweat, unlike previous versions. Older 608's had a bit of leather or leather-like strip up the complete center of the tongue. The new ones don't, and that seems to let the tongue crab towards your toes. All and all, not a bad shoe. Liked the older versions better.

This is my third pair of 608's. I work on my feet most of the day. My feet sweat some in them in the summer. but I love these sneaks.

The memory foam inserts just add too the super comfort of these shoes!

Great shoes, although I wish they had more cushion

Have purchased earlier versions of this sneaker and they fit well. Wear well. Do not wear out fast. I do a lot of walking and these are good stuff!

I like this color. Itis hard to find anything in the brown tones. I did have to return my normal size and go up to the nearest 1/2 size for it to be comfortable. Still not perfect but a lot better!

I have a wide foot and your shoes offer a selection of widths in most case (mostly boring white). Would like to see a better selection of width in more fashionable styles and colors.

I wanted an all leather shoe for ease of cleaning to use for walking and going to the gym. I've previously purchased 990s, 624s, and 574s. The 574s make a good "knock around" casual shoe. The 990s are my favorite for walking, but they're pricey and seem to be getting pricier every year. The 624s work great. I wanted to try these, as well. I got the ones in black and white. Nice looking shoe. Wide enough for comfort, good padding, but support is better on the 624s. I put in a well-reviewed aftermarket insole that ran around 21 bucks and had good arch support and that made a big difference, as I have flat feet and plantar fasciitis. With the insoles, these make great walking shoes. I might even try wearing them at work, where I am on my feet all day.

the only thing is i don't like is the color i prefer the brown/ blue or brown/pink they use to be, please bring them back. also there not the 608v5 that i ordered, there just the 608

Only problems was length and type of shoe laces.Otherwise great

Perfect fit - looks right with a little "throwback" appeal. Feels right - not too tight or loose. Just right.

Have been buying this model for years. Hope the soles stay on better than the last version! I didn't notice the 409 was listed, probably a good move!

I haven't had a chance to use the shoes a lot because of me having knee replacement surgery just here recently but what little bit I have used to have him I really like

I work on my feet all day, and I wanted a shoe that would be comfortable without looking inappropriate in the workplace. So far the shoe has held up very well, although there was an initial breaking-in period. The black color is perfect for an office environment. The non-slip soles are a plus, although it is too soon to say how well they work. Best feature is the price -- I tried several other models in the USD90+ range and these fit my feet much better (although that is a matter of personal preference). This will probably be my go-to shoe in the future.

They fit well but they need to stretch just a little. My small toe gets pinched by the end of the day

Purchased for walking just proir to Christmas direct from New Balance - as a long-time user I have found the newer iterations of some shoes to be smaller in width than the older types, and this shoe is no exception. I will need to break this in slowly and see if it ends up being a better fit width-wise than it is now, and since the difference is small that may happen. Until then the jury is still out on this shoe. I am a retired nurse and have worn NB shoes virtually to the exclusion of all other brands for more than 15 years - sad to say the NB company seems to be following so many others by trying to see how cheaply they can make every product as they change managers who want to make a name for themselves by cost cutting. The result, in too many cases, is that at some point the item no longer is the same as it once was due to so many cost cuts and cut corners, and the buying public moves on to another brand. But, hey, the whiz kids got their bonuses and promotions.......right? We'll see how this shoe works out, but my review is only one of dozens available showing the same changes in quality to the detriment of the product and the end users. New Balance used to have the lock and key on repeatable widths, but as it now appears that has been relegated to the past. -- Break-in period starts today New Years Day 2020. --- JayD

I have to wear a wide shoe because of inserts. They are not easy to find. 608 is a good product, definitely will buy again BUT a little disappointed that I had to buy them online. They didn't have any in stock at the store level. You also need to give women a bigger selection in a wide shoe.
