I use them for a daily walking routine and they fit the bill

I purchased a pair of New Balance 608v5 for my wife's birthday to replace her old pair. She absolutely loves the comfort she feels when wearing these shoes. The shoes are a great fit for a great lady.

J C Penneys carried the 608 shoe-bought them all the time. I was so glad to see New Balance was making them again. Very comfortable.

I order two pair of shoes at a time, several times a year. When one pair starts to wear out, I grab the next pair and keep on trucking. A fresh pair of shoes keeps my knees and back from hurting when working on concrete. Plus, I wear 16 wide and finding at my local store is nearly impossible. So I made an account on New Balance with a saved credit card number and when I need new shoes, 5 minutes and I am done. I will be a customer for years to come.

Very comfortable shoes, They look good and fit good with good support.

I like these shoes. The tops are a little higher than most walkers I've worn, so they might work for short hiking. My left foot has been sprained several times, and this higher top will hopefully keep the foot from turning. Definitely order one-half size up. I purchased comfort insoles for these shoes, and need every bit of space.

I had to replace my 854s and this seems close to them. After 15 years, the 854s developed holes in the toes, the leather separating from the stitches. I hope that the 608v5 lasts as long. The 608v5 is as comfortable as the 854s. I had to get a half size larger than usual to get a good fit in the toe box.

I use these shoes for shopping and out and about. Love them.

it was all I expected

Holds up well in the dirt, washed off pretty well. Next time, though, I will buy a shoe without such deep impressions in the sole because it's hard to get out all the mud. I like an all black color like this and I like the stretchy shoe laces which allow for removing without untying.

The product looked just like the picture. It was the perfect fit.

There is no support for my arch. I had to buy a Dr. Scholls arch support to use. I just bought a pair of 624 and I love them. I tried to order another pair and they were out of my size...7N. Really disappointed in the 608v5.

This is my third pair. I have two pair of white and wanted black to wear with non sport outfits. Shoes look good, are comfortable and have a good support for my arches.

I really like the way the shoe is high up on the back of my foot.
