Sneaker is well made good ankle and arch support not a fancy design but pretty enough. So far it seems comfortable This shoe is a bit heavy and bulky. It needs to be made lighter.

I have very wide "Fred Flintstone" feet. These are good in 4E but I really wish they made 6E like they used to make. Don't understand why they stopped offering 6E width sneakers.

very typical of NB. I have had many pairs. Good utilitarian shoe; in my experience they tend to break down in about 3-4 months of moderate use. I 'm a tennis player and I can only wear these for a few months at a time. Shoe is far smaller than my typical size.

I wanted a white chunky sneaker. I didn't really want something super mainstream like off whites, or Air Force 1s. I wanted something less known and this shoe was perfect! I've dressed it up and down, and haven't found a outfit yet it didn't work with. Works well for a more budget friendly option too. It's also not very popular so it's cool to have something unique. I wish they were a little more comfortable like the 990s though. After standing in one place for a long time I notice my feet start to get sore. But it's due to there's not much arch support in these compared to other new balances. But I'm prone to foot issues so your average Joe would have no problem in these I'm sure. Very comfy in other ways.

It's the only shoes other than his sliders that he will wear and it has been that way for 10 years or more.

I have purchased all white shoes three times now and each pair lasts a long time. They are a comfortable fit and I like the extra wide shoe.

My shoe size is 8 1/2 medium width. I ordered 1/2 size larger and wish I ordered my true size. I have another pair of this same 608 cross trainer at my true size and the fit is better. I would have rated 5 stars if my true size was ordered.

I have been wearing NB sneakers now for years. I have medical conditions that pushes me toward a more expensive pair, though these were not the top of the $$ scale, but I cannot afford the best of the best. These fit appropriately, but while wearing them after short term use for a couple of days, I did have some discomfort in my feet. They were not too tight, its just that the foot bed of the sneakers did not feel as cushion y as they used too. I supposed with all prices on all products rising we will never see the quality that we in the USA have been used too for many years. If they did not cause me discomfort I would have given a 5 star rating, and hoped that for what I paid they would have given me more comfort, but cannot afford the top of the line, so I guess this is the alternative in all forms of products that we as consumers have to make decisions upon. If you don't have tons of money you cannot get the best quality for your money :(

I recently purchased both a 608 and a 624, which I use for different purposes (daily wear vs. aerobic exercising). Both are competent shoes, though they come with DANGEROUSLY long laces that requiring replacing before the shoes can be safely worn. The 624 has an advantage in that there's a plastic insert for the top two sets of lace holes. The 608 only has the leather top, and I've had laces saw their way through the top holes. The other noticeable difference is that the tongue slits that help keep the tongue centered are higher up on the 608. The 608 consequently does a slightly better job of keeping the tongue in place than the 624, though at the expense of making it a bit more difficult to loosen the laces to take the shoes off. The 608 and 624 used to have the same soles, but the 608V5 sports a new design. If it's better, I wonder why it isn't also on the 624.

Great Shoe, purchasing 5th pair, but the last pair did not last. DS went on a retreat, the front part unglued, but he was doing quite a bit of walking and on rough terrain in the hill country, so we are purchasing his 5th pair

We have been purchasing shoes from New Balance for our son since he was just a little lad. With (now) size 15 with a 4E width, nothing comes close to the options that we have found with New Balance for sturdy construction and supportive footwear.

I ordered these shoes for walking. I have worn NB shoes for years because they have been the best fit for me. I purchased these shoes because I wanted something with more leather for colder days. I have not used leather walkers for some time. These are well constructed and for the most part comfortable but they need breaking in unlike lighter more flexible styles. I do wish the toe box was a bit wider.

I hate breaking in new shoes. My heel has been killing me but I think it was because my previous sneakers were broken down inside. My heel is now starting to feel better after I have worn these new ones for a few weeks. I just wish because of the type of work that I do they had a sole that was not quite so slippery on a wet floor.

I like these shoes, I'm into my second pair, but I do have a question/comment/aggravation: why are the shoelaces so long? I tie them in a double knot with loops as big as possible without walking on them and still the lace tips are touching the ground. Can't you use shorter laces?

I have been buying this type shoe for 20 years. I can get it in wide and it is comfortable. I can use them a long time before they have to be thrown away. I gave it a four stars because for the last 5-10 years there has been a tendency for the glue on the soles of these shoes to let loose. Not always and not on all shoes, but it is a problem. Also, the interiors don't last more than about five months without developing holes in the fabric. I use shoe goop to re-glue the soles and ignore the holes in the fabric. So, could be better but as good as anything else I've found.

I really liked the look and overall feel of the shoe, but the toe box was just a bit too tight for me. I wear a 10.5 Regular, but sometimes need just a little extra room near the toes. These rubbed my little toes just a little too much so I had to return them (and was promptly refunded - thanks New Balance!).
