OK. These are my first pair of Aravon shoes and I was really iffy on them as this kind of boot is usually not my style. But I wanted a better looking winter boot than the typical clunky ones. I have to say they are really really cute on and go with tons of stuff (I totally did a mini fashion show when they arrived, haha). Waterproof, warm & stylish. For my WW ladies, they are true WW!!! I usually wear a 6.5WW in Munros and 7WW in their boots. I also got these in 7WW and they fit great even with thicker socks. Toe box is roomy and insole is removable. I hope Aravon makes more stylish shoes in the future as these are very comfortable for people with problem feet.

Based on the picture, I didn't think these were going to be the style boot I kept, but as I was looking for a wide width, black, ankle height, waterproof, extra comfortable for walking type boot, I ordered a couple of pairs to try with my various travel outfits. This was the style I picked. They work with my leggings, skinny jeans, AND are not too bulky under my bootcut/flare style jeans, which was an issue with other boots I ordered. As I'm trying to pack very light for my trip, I wanted ONE pair of boots to meet all of my needs. This is the style I kept.

I found that these boots ran a half size to a whole size too big and, while I have a rather wide foot, the normal width fit just fine. I'm normally a 9.5 and these size 9s have a little wiggle room in it, but I'm keeping it so I can wear warm socks instead of sizing down a whole size. I wanted a comfortable boot that could handle some weather, but still look decent with my office attire and I have finally found it!

I bought these especially for rainy days, and these are doing the job! They look great and are pretty comfy as far as boots go. They do have a slight heel, and for someone who typically wears flat slip-on sneakers, they weren't as comfy as that, especially because I'm not used to standing on a slight incline. I wouldn't go for a long walk in them, but love them for going to work on rainy days or want to be just a little fancier than my sneakers.

These seemed perfect for me because they're comfortable and waterproof, but they're just too big. I usually wear a 6W because I have small, wide feet. But these are too loose around the ankles and at least a half size too big in the toes. Too bad they don't come in a 5 or 5 1/2. I'm reluctantly returning them.

Very disappointed with this boot. This was supposed to be DOUBLE wide but seriously not only did it look like a medium width but ran very narrow for wide feet. I didn't like the outside material either to keep clean.

Super cute bootie! Very comfortable. Just a tad bit too large. I usually wear a 10, sometimes a 9.5. I should have ordered the 9.5 with this shoe, even wearing thick socks. Also, definitely brown, not gray.

Very strange fit. I first ordered 11W. They were too narrow so I sent them back and ordered 11WW and they were narrower than the 11W!

I bought these for an upcoming London trip (for wet city-walking). I normally wear an 8.5 in shoes, but for this style I bought 3 pairs just to make sure I got the right fit: 8.5 normal, 8.5 wide, and 9 normal. The 9 felt a bit too roomy. The 8.5 normal felt pretty good but I ended up going with the 8.5 wide just to make sure I wasn't totally squishing my toebox (as I have a slight bunion on my left foot). I'm glad I got the 8.5 wide because that should also accommodate slightly thicker socks in the cooler weather. The shoes are great for walking (even on cobblestone) and worked well with skinny jeans. The only issue I had with them was that I stupidly wore low-cut socks with them...and so on my right ankle, I ended up with a few sores because of the friction between the shoe and my skin. SO, just be sure to wear crewcut socks with these and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Possibly the best pair of shoes I’ve ever owned. I don’t want to take them off (and that’s saying a lot because I love to go barefoot). The color is the perfect grey brown and the style is relaxed.

The Best. Right out of the box and took them for a long trip to Portland Oregon where they were just perfect for rain and plenty of walking too. Comfortable and width was perfect. Absolutely no problems. Would buy them again in a minute.

Purchased this SAME boot two years ago, and have worn them out. I came back to find YEAH! They are still available. They wear like iron, look great with jeans or dresses and tights in the winter, and BONUS....they are WATERPROOF. Yes, really and truly. Get a pair of these today, you will not regret the purchase.

I needed a basic flat boot to wear with casual clothes. These are nice boots. Comfortable right out of the box. I'm usually and 8.5 C, but these were only available in the D so I went for it. I like the extra room for a thicker sock. I have a high instep and although a little tight getting on, they're fine and don't rub anywhere. They're nice for a plain black boot for winter. The top of the boot was narrow enough for my jeans to go over top and will go with leggings. It would be nice to have a little style detail (the "waterproof" tag doesn't really add anything to the boot).

I needed boots warm enough for winter, waterproof enough for snow and rain, and professional enough to wear with a suit, and these fit the bill on all counts. They are warm enough for sub-zero temperatures and keep my feet dry in snow and slush. They're reasonably easy to clean- I walked through a muddy trail and was able to brush them off when dry. And they're comfortable enough to wear walking and standing all day. The top of the boot doesn't cut into my leg like I saw on some reviews of other boots. Really solid boots all around, and I'm glad I bought them.

Very comfortable boots. They accommodate my orthotics. I usually wear a size 5.5 W or 6. I am new to using orthotics and am trying various boots. The 6 W fit well, and looks good. The warm iron color looks like a brownish gray on the computer screen, but turns out to be more brown than gray in actuality. The color looks great with denim, but does not work with my wardrobe for the trip I am seeking boots for.

Out of the box, these were extremely comfortable. I could wear them all day doing a lot of walking without any of the usual break-in discomfort. I love the flat heel; it's perfect for those of us who want cute ankle boots but can't do heels. I wish they came in more colors!

Very comfortable right out of the box. Nice arch support. Great for wearing around the office. Haven't worn them on an all-day walk yet. The warm iron color is a dark taupe-y grey/brown. Looks great with jeans.

I ordered this boot in two colors: black and brun (brown) with the expectation I would keep the black. I tried them both on and were exceptionally comfortable. My feet slipped into these boots very smoothly. I put my hand into the boot and the lining felt unusually smooth and silky – like fur. After I turned the boot upside down to see the sole, there was a sticker saying ‘faux fur’. The short ‘fur’ lining is certainly a big plus. My foot slipped into the boots without pushing my socks backward toward my heels and crushing my toes. The sizing and comfort of these boots was certainly an affirmative decision to keep these boots. At first my mind chose the black pair, but my eyes were focused on the brun pair. The color is exquisite. It’s a deep rich, coffee roasted color. Sometimes it looks like a deep olive green. Sometimes deep brown. My eyes kept tripping on the fur lining. But, it must have been the awesome brun color that struck my fancy. It was love at first sight. We walk together now side by side.

The toe box was wide enough but the heel was too wide causing them to slip inside as I walked. If not for this I would love to have kept them.

I love Aravon shoes because I wear a size 13 and their 12's fit me! (please don't tell them as I don't want them to change anything)! I have arch issues and their wide sizes fit my orthotics perfectly. I will keep these booties because they feel good now and I hope they will work well over time! It's SO hard to get nice shoes in larger sizes that accommodate aging feets! I wish they made more casual styles that don't look so clunky!!

I returned an 11 Wide and ordered an 11 WW. The WW was narrower than the W! Very disappointed.

These ankle boots are cute and practical. They are wide enough after I've worn them for a week. The material is very nice, but scuffs and dirt do show up on them.

These boots were exactly what I was looking for~I ordered the gray which turned out to be a beautiful taupe.....classy.

Absolutely love these boots. I got them in the widest width available to accomodate thick socks. I have arthritis in my feet, needed waterproof short boots that would deal with rain and snow. This was a Zappos recommendation (including the brand, size and width) and I'm glad I paid attention. These are my new favorite boots.
