Not sure what all the rave is. I was unimpressed upon taking them out of the box. These booties are narrow and not well-made IMO. On one of the booties, the zipper did not glide well either. I returned them.

I am returning these adorable sneakers because I cannot handle the zippers. The zippers are situated on the outer side of the shoe, and I am physically unable to turn my foot out enough to be able to reach them.

This is an adorable sneaker, and I am so sorry to have to return it. But the zippers, situated on the outside of the shoe, are just too hard for me to handle. My foot won't turn inwards onto its side to enable me to do up the zipper.

very hard in toe, uncomfortably so. surprising for this brand.

Length was fine, width was a little tight, but even the laces loosened, I could not zip them up over my instep. Pity, since they were comfy and cute, but back they go.

I was so excited to get my new Taos Union casual boots. They would’ve been perfect but the arch was too high for my flat feet (too many years wearing Birkenstocks). Wishing Taos made the same boot—minus the high arch support!

Love these shoes, but unfortunately they aren't ideal for wider feet and I'll need to return them.

Loved this shoe and I really wanted to keep it but it is about a half size too small and apparently Taos stops at size 11. This was really disappointing as I have several pairs of Taos sandals and in all of those shoes, the 11 is about a half size too long.

Comfortable out of box, but after a long walk, I had substantial foot pain. Will not wear these for long walks again, but fine for casual activities. Color is much darker than I expected, more like a charcoal gray than silvery color. Length felt true to size, but I can see why people say these run small, they are a borderline fit. Would have liked a smidge more room in the toe box, but I say that about almost every shoe.

These were beautiful shoes, but I decided to return them. They just weren't comfortable on my feet. They were kind of stiff. And I really thought the zipper should have been on the inside of the shoe, not the outside. It would have made it easier to zip up. So sadly, I'm returning this beautiful shoe.

I really wanted these to work but just could not get them zipped. They are just too narrow through the toe box, even after I went a half size up from my normal shoe size. I have a low-top pair of canvas Taos in the exact same size and they are great (I like the arch support), but the boot just squeezed my toes. And after adjusting/loosening the shoestrings, I still couldn't work the zipper up on one foot. Too bad since they would have looked great with my athleisure wear.

l loved it, especially the arch support! I have several Taos sandals, but... It was too long (Zappos frecommended a 6, I am a perfect European 37; I wish the translations were more accurate) but it was narrow; I found it hard to zip up and that unfortunately that was the best feature.

I ordered this in my normal size 7 medium. I wear a 7 in every brand and I have never worn a wide before. The 7M was so ridiculously tight there was no possible way I could zip the zipper on the side of my foot. I imagine it would be the equivalent of a narrow. I am not sure if the 7.5M would be too long and if it would be any wider. They seemed like they would be comfortable if they fit.

I could not get the shoe zipped up

I was prepared to fall in love with these based on the look and reviews, but they were not for me. I’m a size 7 in most shoes and I got these in a 7 and could barely get the left shoe on. The right one fit but just felt too close to the foot all over. They fit more like a tennis shoe and not like a boot, which is kind of the look I was hoping for. I didn’t order the 7.5s because they were just kind of “meh” for me.

Alas, no meaningful arch support in these. I was hoping for a sneaker that would give me a little ankle support and decent arch support, but these didn’t cut it. Too bad — they are beautiful leather!

These shoes have good heel cushioning and a very prominent and substantial arch, but there is no cushioning in the ball of the foot. I knew this would be an issue for my feet, so I had to return them. Also, the prominent arch didn’t seem to hit me in the right spot. They are very stylish though! I was disappointed they didn’t work out.

Love the style and leather is great. Taos runs tight in the toe box. I need more room there.

It's never a good sign when you open up the box and see someone else's return slip still inside. So these shoes were obviously returned. No biggie, but obviously someone didn't like them. And I know why I didn't. First, they do run half a size small. I read the reviews and ordered 1/2 size bigger than my usual and they did fit. But there is absolutely no cushioning; they're flat as a pancake, like wearing an old pair of Keds. And the zipper is on the outer side of the shoe, not on the inner side, which would be much easier to get on and off; it was very awkward and I gave up after half a dozen tries to pull that thing up. These will, alas, have a 2nd return slip packed with them, as they're going back.

I have many pairs of Taos shoes and usually love them. These shoes are about 1/4 inch too short. A big size will be too big. These shoes look great and I really wish they were the same size as my other Taos shoes.

I’m pretty disappointed with these. At first I thought they felt good as they do have some arch support. But soon after I realized that they turn my toes numb inexplicably and they also feel like they push my big toe inward like with a bunion. I can’t make sense of why this happens because it appears there is plenty of space in the toes, yet the problem persists even after using a shoe stretcher. For the cost, these are a huge disappointment.

I absolutely love the style of these and I really wanted them. I was so disappointed when they didn’t fit. I have a very narrow foot so the width was fine for me, but the the length was way too short. I wear size 11 and ordered an 11. My toes were pressed up against the end of the shoes, and unfortunately I couldn’t size up because 11 is the largest size offered. Had to return.

There is no arch support in these shoes. They are also very snug around the ankle.

So disappointed in the hardness of the material. They run a bit small, so I tried to sizes but they were still very hard and uncomfortable.
