These are my new favorite casual shoes. I am a 7/7.5 and got a 7.5 based on other reviews and they fit great. I have a narrower foot and I can tell these fit (my foot normally slips around), but I can see how these might be tight on someone who has a wider foot.

I have a lot of issues with my feet due to needing arch support. These shoes have amazing arch support. They are comparable to Dansko and Vionic. They are very stylish. The only issue and the reason for 4 stars on comfort: due to the type of material, they make my feet very hot. Although, not hot enough for me to stop wearing them. I was able to wear these while being on my feet for several hours with no pain. These are a keeper.

These shoes are cute and comfortable and have good arch support. I just personally don't like the brown color; it is more faded in places than it looks in the picture.

I had been wanting some black leather high tops for a while, and when these came back in stock just before I left for a Christmas trip, I ordered them. I got them in my usual size, and put them on and wore them for the next week. I have high arches, and found there was a surprising amount of support in these. I have a narrow foot, so these were nice and snug, although I didn't need to lace the two sides completely together. I really like leather high tops for travel, and have worn them in rain and also snow, and could get by with only them for everything but fancy dress (maybe even then!) Thank you, Zappos, for getting them to me in a day so I could take them with me!

These sneakers are awesome!! taos has the best arch support. It is so nice to find fun shoes that don’t require an insert for my planter fasciitis. I am an 8 to 8.5 in sneakers and had to get the 8 in these. The 8.5 was too long. Highly recommend!

These shoes are awesome! I bought them for a trip that required a lot of walking, and these were so comfortable from the first time I wore them. I love the tan color, that they are lightweight, and the style is kinds hip.

Like other reviewers, I'm giving the Taos Union top marks for fit, hip retro style, and comfort. I'm a longtime Converse sneaker fan but my 49 year old feet needed something warmer for fall/winter and more supportive than a flat sole for my moderately high arches. And I found it!! The leather is supple, beautiful high quality with no break in required. I wore them for over 8 hours yesterday with no complaints from my feet. Only happy! I'm new to the Taos brand and very likely is a new favorite for me!

I ordered a half size up based on reviews and had to exchange them for my usual size 8. They fit perfectly and were true to size. It was a bit tight at the top, but this stretched with wear as I expected. Would not recommend to anyone with wide feet. The shoe has really great arch support, is overall really comfortable and I love the look. This is the most I have spent on a pair of shoes and I have no regrets!

This summer I tried on all the Star sneakers and the Plim Soul. Plim Soul was my fave and I wore it almost everyday. I rearranged my work wardrobe so I could wear the Plim more often! I knew I wanted something similar to it going into winter and I was so happy when I saw these online- same comfort, but in a high-top so my ankles are covered for winter weather. I got both colors and wear them everyday. It is so nice having such a light tan color because most of the comfort shoe brands I buy from only offer darker tan colors. They go with leggings, jeans, and even with the right cut pants, or skirt/dress. Be sure to size up a half-size for comfort. You will be so happy you got these sneakers- not cheap, but totally worth it.

I ordered these for a trip to Europe that will require a lot of walking. These shoes fit well and were comfortable from the minute I put them on. They are sleek and hip and not to clunky at all! I would recommend!

The leather on these shoes is super soft. No break-in time needed. The arch support is superior. I loved the look at these and went back and forth between these and another brand. I'm so glad that I went with these. They are trendy and comfortable. I love the ease of the zipper --no untying necessary. I am living in these sneakers since their arrival. They are worth every penny.

Taos shoes really fit me, and their insoles are so good I don’t need to use my orthotics in them. I normally wear a size 7 1/2, but in my previous Taos shoes I needed an 8 1/2, so that’s what I ordered, and they fit perfectly.

I typically wear a 9 in this type of shoe, but read other reviews on the Toas website that they run and half size small. This was the case and the 9.5 fits well. I really enjoy these shoes. They are comfortable when I am on my feet at work all day and are very easy to take on off. They look cute with skinny jeans and leggings.

This is the most comfortable shoe on the planet! And oh, boy, have I been looking for a shoe with great support. I broke my ankle & had surgery last summer, and wearing most shoes & boots makes me go into a rictus of agony. Not this one! The arch support on this, and the Taos plim soul sneaker, are above and beyond any other brand I've tried. I usually wear an 8-8.5, but went with a 9 on this and the other Taos sneaker. Lots of comfy room in the footbed without feeling I'm wearing clown shoes. The leather is crisp, but very flexible and supple. Put these shoes on and didn't take them off all day, they are so comfy. Plus, they have a cool visual vibe to them. Nicely made, they'll be a great fall/winter shoe. Based on this, and the plim soul taos sneaker, I've ordered taos boots. I'm a fan!

Dont pay any attention to the size Zappos will tell you to buy. I wear a 7 but the site kept giving me pop up ALERT! THIS WONT FIT YOU! warnings when I tried to buy my size 7. So I stupidly took their advice and bought the 8 and they are HUGE. Back you go.

I love these shoes and wear them a lot. The soul is fairly thin, so they're not great for walking. But other than that, I love them. They're very cute.

Beautiful soft leather shoe, but I found the toe-box to be a bit too narrow, sadly had to return.

These are extremely stylish and high quality. I love that you can unzip them to quickly exit the shoe! Beautiful and well made high tops. The footbed is very supportive just as I’d expect of Taos. My only complaint is they seem to run small. I’m usually a 9.5 but it’s a little tight so I’m returning to order a 10. Need more toe room. I look forward to wearing these!!

These lovely high-tops look great with joggers or other casual slacks. The fit (size 10) is perfect and as expected. The arch support from a built-in orthotic is great. My only complaint -- a small one -- is that the sole does not provide much cushioning. In that way, these are very different from running shoes.

Beautiful shoes. I especially liked the zipper for easy on-off. I’m usually an 11-11.5. These are a bit too short.

I have plantar fascitis, so I need shoes with great arch support so I thought I'd give these a try. I usually wear a 7-7.5 but bought an 8 as suggested. The 8 was too big so I ordered the 7.5, which fit perfectly. I really wanted to love these, the arch is perfect, but they were really hard under my toes and quite uncomfortable so back they both go.

Too flat and stiff for comfort. My fault that I’m unwilling to see if they’ll soften up/break in. I don’t love the look enough to try.

A well constructed shoe, with style, not as heavy on foot as I anticipated. Held my foot well, comfortable. Not for me, I need even less weight yet this shoe was well cushioned. Taos makes a great shoe.
