Amazing soft supple leather. As you would expect from Frye impeccable quality. They are a little stiff at first slightly snug I went with my normal size because I have another pair of Frye boots I went up a half size and they are now big on my feet and feel a bit loose but as with all leather they are stretching/ wearing in a bit. I would recommend 100% I get so many compliments on these boots.

Love the boot! However my old pair had zippers @ back of boot. I have high arches and these boots are a well not easy to get on. Thinking leather lining @ back of boot would help my foot slide in. Would buy another pair, really want the bone or off white ones!

They look great, but sooooo narrow. Im really hoping they stretch out a bit since Iv already started trying to break them in I cant return

I'm normally a size 9.5 in all various sneakers I own so naturally I ordered that size in these. These were HUGE on me. My heel was slipping out so I mailed them back for an exchange of a 9. Got those eventually and same thing. The next half size down isn't available so I have to return them and take that $12 return hit unfortunately. These seem like very well made boots, I love the antique black color and how soft the leather is. Just disappointed these run SO large and I can't find my size.

Bring back the Engineer 8R! This boot is OK, but lacks the bulk. It's a bit narrow and the sole isn't as thick as I'd like. The back of the heel is pretty straight, so when wearing pants they just look like a dress shoe.

I have bought many pairs of Frye boots and have 1 old pair of Veronicas that I love. I ordered my normal size and could not get them on my feet and the quality was not great, very stiff. I was able to get free shipping as there was a code but had to pay 12 to return. If I had to pay shipping it would have cost 24 dollars to get a pair of boots that didnt fit and had to be returned. I used to love this company, not so much now.

The boots feel already broke in, very good looking boots! The distressing is a bit much, but otherwise they are really nice!

Beautiful boot but the fit doesnt work. I ordered 1/2 size larger and it was way too big. Then ordered my normal size and it still pops off my heel but feels tight across the toes, so I think if I go any smaller in size it will be too tight. The boot sole is stiff and clomps when you walk. Sadly Im sending these back.

Beautiful color a style. Not the greatest fit, one boot is wider than the other, cannot return because I have disposed of all packing. Not really happy but what can I do .

Love them!

This is my 10th pair of Frye boots/shoes and I love every single pair! Frye fits my foot like a glove. Love the winter white color of this boot. A little bit of a struggle pulling the boots on being there is not a zipper, but once on fits great. True to size for my foot - 8 1/2.

They are much narrower and stiffer than expected and there was no option for a wide foot. The first time I wore them I got blisters on my feet, so I used leather stretchers with mink oil and stretching solution to make them softer. They are beautiful boots and fairly well constructed, although I feel like the separation on the arch of the sole is weak point that could separate at some point. Looks like an easy fix though. It would be better if the soul were solid.

Tight, narrow and uncomfortable

I could not get these on when they first arrived because the bottom of my heal is on the larger side, and with the socks I had on, they definitely did not go on. The opening in the boot that allows your foot to go in is on the small side. At first I thought, "Oh, no! I really want these boots so much, but no way is my heal going to fit through that opening!" I put my thinnest socks on and they still did not slip on. I still had to work my heal slowly into them going back and forth, and I finally got them on. Once on, they were as comfortable as a glove, did not slip, did not chafe, fely amazing on my feet, as though they were made for me. They are great looking too. I have worn them several times now with my thin socks to break them in. Hopefully the opening will stretch a bit as I take them off and on a lot. This boots deserves five stars except for that one issue. Note: my foot is right on the line between medium width and wide width. It may have had something to do with it?

I bought these in both the redwood and the distressed black colors. Couldn't get my foot in the black but the redwood is OK. These are actually the only Frye shoes I've ever bought that fit me, due to having a wide foot. Not super comfortable but ok to wear for a few hours. Leather still feels stiff even after having them for over a year, granted I don't wear them every day. I'd buy them if you can get them on sale but wouldn't pay full price. Definitely not a shoe I could wear every day either. Like most Frye shoes, they are pretty but likely not practical.

Great quality!!! Its a very heavy boot . I normally wear a size 8 so I ordered that size. My heel kept sliding out . I know if I returned and ordered say 7.5 they would be too narrow.

I ordered the size 6 and it was too large, exchanged for the 5.5 and it was too small, really tight. The sole and leather are way too hard, no chance to even want to attempt to break them in. They are the worst boot I have ever tried. I don't understand the refund amount either and support hasn't gotten back to me. I would just like to understand what was not refunded.

Love the boot and look but they run small for sizing and wish they would say that. Returning for bigger aize

Love all the qualities of this boot, the size, color, the comfort. My disadvantage is the collar. Wish it had the buckle like previous style. Will recommend if you like the wide collar.
