These boots are beautiful and top quality as are all of my Frye products. The best is that I put them on the first time and walked in them all day. They are so comfortable.

The fit was perfect for me. My calves are athletic but the wide calf model was way too big. Color in Redwood is absolutely gorgeous. True to size there is no pinching or breaking in necessary. Gorgeous forever boot.

Not the quality I expect from Frye. The leather was thin and very stiff, buckled oddly at the ankle. The zipper seemed very cheap and didnt zip up and down easily. I had to return them. Also frustrating that with companies like Zappos, Amazon and others who offer free shipping and returns, $12 was deducted from my purchase to send them back. I wouldnt order anything from Frye again.

I am obsessed with my boots. I have very small ankles and calves so these boots were perfect for me. They are so flattering and the cutest color. I bought the color redwood, although chocolate was my first choice, and the color is just perfect. I was afraid that they would be too red, but they turned out to be more of a brown, which was just perfect. I so happy that I found a pair of boots that fit me perfectly. SO CUTE!!!

The stitching was bad, loose threads everywhere. I dont think the inside is real leather. The smell is overwhelming, these boots would definitely need to off-gas.

The quality was top notch. However, the color seemed a bit too light ( compared to what I was expecting based on the photo) and the chocolate was out of stock. I also realized that I need a boot with a sole that has more tread.

I purchased the these boots for my girlfriend on December 6, 2023, and had to exchange them due to the size being too large. The exchange order was received, but the zipper on one of the replacement boots was defective and fell apart before the first wear. A return request was submitted on January 8, 2024, and the replacement boots were received. However, after just a single wear, the zipper on the left boot became defective, separating near the ankle. I was able to fix the zipper temporarily, summer came, and my girlfriend didn't wear the boots until recently. The zipper condition has now deteriorated to the point where the boot can no longer be zipped up, and Frye has informed me that there's nothing they can do. If you're thinking that the negative reviews are just a fluke (as I did), reconsider. $300 boots should last longer than 3/4 of a year.

My second pair of the Melissa Belted Tall boot. I have other Frye boots. Its the only brand I purchase. I receive many compliments .

I order Melissa Belted tall that was on sale for $249.98 and when I received my order I had a whole different pair of boots look nothing like the ones I ordered so ugly Melissa Belted tall in Renice is the name on the paper work sent inside the box with the boots I am so disappointed looks nothing like what I order I would not wear these to a rat race not only in the streets never again in my life will I order from this company I bought a purse from one of the department stores and the boots would be the exact match of the purse that I ordered

I ordered a size longer hoping they would be wide enough. They are not. I also ordered the wide calf the first time, which was way too big, so I ordered the normal calf & it was very tight. There is a huge difference between the two calf sizes. The leather was not smooth, it had ripples in it. It looked defective. Since it cost $25 in shipping fees to return products that dont fit or unsatisfied, I will not ordering any other products from Frye.

I love these boots! They look great and are comfortable for long days. They are versatile with lots of outfits. The soles are slick, but I had a cobbler add a thin rubber sole and now they are great. I found the shaft a bit too wide on my calf, but not so much as to be an issue.

I have tiny calves and this squeezed mine. Get wide calf? Regular size is only for skeleton legs.

I really like the way these boots fit. They are very comfortable and a get boot!

My daughter and I emailed with Robert the AI robot for several months trying to return her boots for the price we bought them for. We never got through the phone system. Robert said the same thing over and over. The system wouldnt let us return the boots for the price we purchased them. We couldnt get through to a real person. Now she has a brand new pair of boots she got for Christmas that she doesnt wear. Its April. We will never buy from Frye ever again. We used to be loyal customers. They dont have the option to give zero stars.

I am so impressed with these boots!!! They are so comfy, once you get the leather broke in you can wear them all day without any discomfort. They are a bit snug when you get them which is a good thing as leather stretches out. But after a few weeks they fit perfect to size.

I have been looking for brown kind of dressy looking riding boots and love these. Good true to size fit and great quality

Boot looks good and the color was good, got the merlot. But that's all that is positive. The leather is very stiff. Not sure if my feet will survive trying to break in the leather. Specifically, the zipper does not open and close smoothly. The area where the zipper meets the belt hits directly on my ankle bone, so stiff leather combined with stiff zipper makes for painful fit. I have other boots and those boots have zippers that have smaller teeth, and open and close smoothly. The sole and heels won't last very long. I wore them outside once walking 20' on a pathway in my backyard.i ended with a corner of heel broken off, (heel is wood) and the sole is pitted from the gravel. I expected marks from outdoors, but this amount of damage from a short walk doesn't bold well for longevity. In short these are not quality boots. I owned a pair of campus boots in the late 70's. They had a real leather lining that was butter soft. The outside leather was a little heavier. The sole was leather. I wore the boots for years. In 2010 I gave them to a woman to pass on to her daughter. Frye boots now are a very cheap imitation of what they used to be.

As much as I love these boots, after only owning for three months and wearing less than ten times, the zipper broke. Its not like they fit snug at all. Wow, this is not the quality that I thought Frye was all about. Im so disappointed.

Beautiful boots! Looking forward to wearing them this winter.
