I really wanted to like these but as another reviewer experienced, I literally could not get my foot in the bootie. Since the zipper doesn't go all the way to the top, Birkenstock should've made the top opening increase as the sizes got larger. Or better yet, make the zipper go all the way to the top! Such a shame it doesn't. Who the heck designed this?? I like the two loop straps that are supposed to allow you to pull them up by the bootstraps, and I liked the soft pleating detail, and the leather has a good quality look and feel. Obviously I can't comment on the comfort, and I had to give star ratings and other categories just to submit this review. Disappointed.

Seriously Birkenstock? Who designed this? I guess I only have myself to blame though as I read plenty of reviews about the issue getting this boot on because the zipper doesn't extend to the top and I ordered it anyway. I couldn't get it on my foot either-not even close! At least Zappos makes returns super easy :)

Birkenstock I don't know what you're thinking... the boot is useless if you can't get your foot into it. I saw the other reviews and should have paid more attention. The quality is great - really nice looking boot. How very disappointing.

Wear Birkenstocks all the time and was so excited to try out these boats. So cute, But I could not get my foot in them. I have a high arch and a narrow foot. If the zipper went all the way to the top they may have worked.

These boots are gorgeous, however.......hard to get on is putting it mildly. These boots are impossible to get on. I have high arches, and it was not possible for me to get these boots on. I tried and tried and got one heck of a workout, but these would not go on. If the zipper went all the way to the top, no problem. They need a redesign and I would them in every color!! Sending them back, so sad.

I have been wearing Birkenstock sandles for year and my feet have been so happy. I was thrilled to see they now make a boot. What a disappointment! Like others I could not get my foot into the boot. Who designs a boot with a zipper that does not go to the top of the boot?

I love Birkenstock, the brand saved me from plantar fasciitis doom and I come back often looking for new styles, particularly boots I can wear in the colder months. In sandals I'm a 37 reg width, in shoes a 38 reg width, and that pretty much never varies. Was excited for these and ignored other reviews that said they were hard to get on...well, turns out they ARE hard to get on! I was able to slip my foot all the way in with the heel under it and determine they would have been comfy per usual, but alas I could not get the band of leather between where the zipper (which is useless) stops and the boot ends over my heel. It seems like it should just work, but it doesn't. I'm very sad because I really needed a new pair of tan Birks (my old ones got paint on them so they're now verboten for work). Back they go!

If I could get my foot into the boot I think I would love it but I could not get my heel in the boot. I even used a long handled shoehorn to no avail. Love the style, wished the zipper went all the way up to the top instead of in the middle which did no good.

These boots are cute. I was able to get them on once. Like all the other reviewers, these boots are almost impossible to get on. It is too frustrating. It is too bad because once on they are cute and comfortable. I am going to return them. Not worth the trouble.

I love the look of these boots so much, but I couldn't get my foot in them. Because they don't zip all the way up your foot has to go in at a really steep angle, and I just couldn't ever get them to work. My sister's feet are one size smaller than mine so I had her try to make sure I wasn't just nuts, and she couldn't get them on either.

Big Foot out of luck! I’m so disappointed that I can’t even get my feet in the boots! The diameter of the opening simply is too small! I’ve never had this problem before. I always wear a 40 M but I can’t judge whether the boots would fit since I can’t get my feet to pass through the opening. So back they go.
