Not very warm. But does pack down small

Just bought. Seems ok. Wish it had more ear coverage.

I'm returning this for a thicker model--this is incredibly thin and lightweight, which might be what some want, but I wanted something to keep my ears warm.

Hoping to wear under my bike helmet. Hat is HUGE.

If my head was twice a big, then it would fit.

Got this as a spare for my other Smartwool beanie that was briefly lost. This one is very thin and oversized. I use the wool beanie under my helmet when bicycle commuting and also at work outside at a garden. The old beanie is thicker, fits better and keeps my head warm and dry. The new one does not. It slides around and does not keep my ears covered or warm. It might be ok for an underlayer under a warm hat on a very cold day but otherwise is not of much use.

It's too thin. The wind blows right through it.

Sadly, my husband hates this beanie. It is incredibly thin and light, like a Lycra cap made to help flatten your hair for certain hair styles. He says it holds no heat at all, and he can feel the wind right through it. Absolutely a terrible purchase.

All smart wool beanies are way too big, they should offer a smaller size instead of one size fits all

Not a beanie. More like a head stocking. Thin enough to see light through it...pick another hat if you value warmth in any capacity.

Ridiculously thin single layer. They used to make a double layer product by the same name. Big drop off in quality with this latest offering, under the misleading same title.

Too thin. Hoping it was like an older version of the beanie they had. Maybe useful as a liner for a bike helmet. I returned it.

I sent the "beanie" back at was more like a thin helmet liner then a beanie.
