Don't try to buy a larger size and you will be happy

The vest body for the most part is excellent. Warm, breathable and relitively durable. The Nuptse vest has been my primary working outerwear for over a decade in the frigid temps of south central Alaska. However, the new "Retro" line with stoeable hood is odd and laughable.. The rolled hood is thin and worthless in anything less than 40F. I much prefer the older style, with the full down filled coller. The nuptse vest world be infinitely better if it had 800+ fill down, two vertical chest pockets, high abrasion cordura shoulder protection and the option for a full coverage down hood

I saw Mac Miller wearing the vest in a music video so I bought it and im not disappointed, so you should too.

This runs big. My husband is usually a large or medium in shirts, but the medium was way too big on him (even if he had worn it over layers). Had to return it for a small. Otherwise, a great item.

The fit was good. The material feels great. I have to restock up. Reminded me of the 90's growing up in the bay area, where The North Face company started. I remember the head quarters located in Berkeley, CA. We we're rocking these vest and jackets in middle and high school. West Coast band that was shared with the rest of the world to enjoy. New Yorkers loved the brand also. Still authentic. Plus they are moving into more of the eco side.

I ordered this for my husband. He loves the fit, lightweight feel, comfortable to move around in the arms and the waist has adjustable straps to tighten or losen. He wore it with a long sleeve thermal and said it kept it him warm. Love the retro style too.

I've got two 1996 vests and a jacket... red, blue, and now yellow... probably need to cool it. anwyay, they're cool as hell, very warm, and draw a lot of complements. only con is that sizing is a little tricky. I'm a lanky-ish 6'3" and I've got a medium and two larges. medium fits snugly in a way that I like but is a bit short on my torso, the larges are roomier and the perfect length. depends what you're going for I guess. everybody should have one of these.

Very great vest! It's super comfy and warm. I love how you have a hidden hood in the vest, also because it's so insulated and puffy, you can actually use it as a jacket if you wear a hoodie or Flannel with it. I decided to go with a size Large because I'm 6'3 and quite Lanky, It turned out as a great size for me. If you're interested In a good vest for the crazy weather I would highly recommend this vest! Thank you!

This is the 2nd 1996 nuptse vest i bought. My 1st was just a few weeks ago. This vest got me into wearing vests but this is the nicest one ive seen. Highly satisfied with this purchase. I have my 3rd on the way now!!

I now own three, so that I can rotate colors. Can't say enough about the style and practical versatility...

Great classic gear

I own an exact vest, however I tore one part and the feathers started falling out, so this is my second one. I'll keep buying as long as these are available, they are that warm and comfortable. No sleeves, but still warm with gloves on even I. 20 degree temps.

Wear it in cold weather. The vest fits great. It gives me warmth with freedom of movement for my arms.

Stylish but I wasn't a fan of the tan British khaki color it didn't look the same as advertised. Other than that nice jacket.

I bought this Nuptse Vest to wear once in a while when I want to show my good taste in fashion. The yellow/black color-way is very appealing, and I'm very glad that I was able to obtain it before it ran out. However, I love it so much that I've used it almost everyday! Thank you!

I stole this vest from my father back in 1997 and 22 years later am finally needing to replace it. Was quite pleased to find TNF bringing back many of the products that I grew up backpacking and skiing with. I took the new vest with me on a recent ski trip and wear it nearly daily for my commute zipped into my mountain jacket. I see no reason why this one will not see me or my kids through another 20 years of adventures
