Customer Reviews Timberland Sutherlin Bay Tall Boot

I ordered these boots in black on Black Friday at a discounted rate. I definitely agree with previous reviews that you should order 1/2 size up (I typically wear a 9 and 9.5 fits well). I also consider myself as having a slightly narrow foot, and when I first tried on the boots I felt like they were a bit snug, but the leather loosened up by the end of my first day of wear and now they are very comfortable. I would imagine someone with a wide foot would find these boots uncomfortable, but then again the leather might loosen up even more for them. I was also initially concerned about the height of the back calf section of the boot because it hit right at the back of my knee as I walked, sat down, and went up/down stairs. However, as the leather softened with just one day of wear this problem dissipated, and after two days I don't even notice it. That being said, I am only 5'5" and I have relatively long legs so I think this could be more of an issue for someone with shorter legs. Other reviewers mentioned issues with the circumference of the calf area, but I have enough space to layer thick socks or leg warmers with jeans or leggings comfortably under the boot (I have slender, but athletic calves and the boot doesn't gape open awkwardly with just leggings on). The only thing that I am still getting used to is the heel height, because my old boots were completely flat and this heel is a bit taller. However, it is not uncomfortable and the insole has a nice padded arch that makes them comfortable to wear all day at work to walk around in intermittently. All in all, I have been searching for black knee high boots for months and I am happy to have finally found this pair that I think will last me for many years, as long as I treat the leather on a regular basis!

Got these Sutherlin Bay Tall Slouch Boots for my daughter and a pair of short ones for myself. She loves hers; said they were 'Amazing." I wear my almost every day. They are comfortable and look great. Did not need breaking-in.

Very comfortable boots

I love these! They are very cute and comfortable. I have calves that are medium and these fit me well. They will be big on someone with skinny calves. Wide calf boots are typically a little big for me. Also - I teeter between an 8 1/2 and 9 and the 9 fit me better in these boots.
