These shoes felt comfortable for good support. I purchased them for light hiking when traveling but with a slight style to be able to transition to wearing around town without looking "too" much like hiking shoes.

These were comfortable and true to size, but the look was not for me.

I love these shoes! I ordered my usual Merrell size - a 10.5. I always add my orthotics without removing the insole that comes in the shoe. I purchased the Siren Edge back in June for urban hiking. I wanted another pair of those - they were not available in my size, so I went with these. This style does not have the Vibram sole, so I assume that’s been replaced - this sole looks just as well constructed though. Overall, these are a bit more sturdy and just as comfy. I wore them right out of the box for a 3 mile hike with NO break in time. I have a great toe bunion (smallish) on my right foot, and the nice roomy toe box works for me there. The shoes are lightweight - much more so than my Merrell hiking boots, which I save for the mountain trails. I rated them a 4 only because, I could stand a bit more padding under the forefoot portion of the shoe. I’m going to need a padded, or more thick sock - and there is plenty of room to do that. I require more cushion there than the shoe comes with. Love this color and will probably get another pair. Perfect for walking the cement and gravel urban trails!

I've been wearing the Siren Edge and it's predecessor Siren Sport for 10+ years. Imagine my surprise when I was looking to replace a pair I found that they were no longer offered in a size 11. I decided to try the Siren Edge Q2 and I was pleased that it fit. I am not wowed by the look but decided to keep them. Size 11 Vapor worked for me. Other Merrell's in size 11 have been too short. What gives? Thanks again to Zappos for their wonderful service .

I did return this shoe as I could feel the nubby treads when I walked and the toe box felt too wide for me. The fit was very different from the Merrell Siren Edge which I prefer.

The shoe is visually appealing but I was very disappointed that up close they look plastic. I am trying to find a new shoe as the Asics I have worn for years have new modifications that make them unsuitable. I am not sure Merrell is going to be my new go to shoe. They are not nearly as cushioned as my Asics and I can barely feel any arch support. I am debating on whether to return them or not.
