Solid piece which is a must. Super light weight and soft. By itself or layering.

Arrived quickly....It was a replacement vest for my husband, the first vest he had melted when he was standing too close to a propane heater....he was so bummed. That is why I ordered another one

I am the guy that overheats real easily during the winter months with coats and layers, so I decided to give the down vest a try with insulated longer sleeve shirts like flannels and light to medium base layers and I stay perfectly warm without getting too hot and/or sweating. Overall quality is really good, been wearing a few days each week for a little over a month now and I am supper happy with this vest. I wore it on a road trip to TN, went hiking, shoveled show and daily errands around town, so it's good for almost every application.

Versatility clutch: like a lot of people, I was never a vest guy always just opted for sleeves. But I'm also one of those 'runs hot/cold' guys, which I think is why I'm finding the Transcendent Down Vest so dang practical. When worn over a baselayer top or a LS flannel, I no longer find myself stopping to de-layer because I'm not getting that 'overheating armpits' feeling, nor am I lacking in mobility. Of course, it's also an awesome mid-layer under a coat or rain jacket on weather days, because there's no sleeves to get all bunched up by the outer layer. Because of its packability, breathable, and core-warmth without constricting, I even find myself throwing it on over a T-shirt instead of jacket. Simple, classic design and fit: it wasn't broke, so thanks OR for not trying to fix it!

Very comfortable and very thin yet very warm. Stylish and not bulky like some vests. Would highly recommend.

I've been wanting a vest for a long time and finally splurged on this one. I'd say it's a bit tight around the belly, but only because I'm a bit large around the belly. Still very comfortable though and no complaints from me.

Same as my jacket review, it's rapidly becoming my go to vest when it's a little chilly out.

I never thought I would buy a vest, but I was goaded by my wife who has a big puffy. This one caught my eye because of its beefy fill power. When I took it out of the bag, my first thought was that it was actually meant as a really thin layering piece. Boy, was I wrong! After fluffing it for a few minutes and leaving it out overnight, the vest showed its true colours. I have found myself quietly reaching for it on cold days in the house, then leaving it on under my parka (it's -20 Celsius today) as an insulating layer. The waist drawcord is a really nice detail for this part, since it helps keep drafty air from blowing up under my jacket. So full of stoke for having bought this.

I love this vest. Light weight an warm. This is my third one I have purchased. I did learn to keep my cat's flailing cat claws away while carrying her. I now have a puncture while only wearing for 10 minutes. Now I have to do a repair. I do like this very much.

This vest is extremely warm and well built. The large inside pocket is extremely useful as is the larger than usual chest pocket. the side pockets are on the smaller side but still keep your hands warm. Note that this vest is bulkier than other down vests and does not compress as far or as easily.

Searched for a down vest and eventually went with the OR Transcendent Down Vest. OR makes fantastic products and the Transcendent-line does not disappoint. Vest has a nice relaxed fix and works great with causal urban attire or technical layers for ski or hike. Although I prefer zip pockets, the hand pockets with a sign button work fine and are deep enough for most objects. The chest pocket is zippered and has an inside mesh pocket for small items. Great design OR! Sizing is true. If you are looking for a down vest- check this one out!!!
