I'd like to recommend these, because Columbia's one of the only companies that makes boots in 15 wide that actually fit my freakish feet. However, while these are waterproof *below* the tongue and laces, the tongue leaches water and moisture. That means, if you get snow on the tongue, and it melts, it quickly wets out and leaks into the interior of the boot. And forget about wearing these in anything more than a light rain. I'm also disappointed in the insulation. For a snow boot, they should keep your feet a LOT warmer. I wouldn't buy these again.

I haven’t owned a pair of decent snow boots in years and years so I decided to buy a pair of these for my birthday. I absolutely loved these boots at first. I figured I would break them in for a few weeks before the snow started to fly up in Wisconsin here. The very first time I submerged my foot in slushy snow I felt like my foot got wet (didn’t want to believe it). Then as the wet weather continued I came to the realization that my feet were soaked on a regular basis. I eventually called Columbia for a warranty claim on them and I was told my boots weren’t waterproof. I knew better then that so I hung up and looked back at my Zappos purchase history. Sure enough, WATERPROOF boots. I called Columbia back within minutes and said they had made a mistake. Ok, they acknowledged their mistake. But now, in order to send them in, I need to pay to ship them in. They will assess them upon arrival and either try to repair them, or give me a partial merchandise credit. NO OFFENSE, but that’s B.S. I don’t have another pair of boots for the winter and I don’t have money to buy more. So I just decided to wear them and learn from my mistakes. I will not be buying more Columbia anything after that. VERY DISSATISFIED. I will go back to wearing only KEENs . They always give me a new pair when something has happened in the past. Mistakes don’t bother me, it’s how it gets handled that shows true colors!

Husband has (literally!) Fred Flintstone paddle feet - a 4 or 5 E width is usually required (custom ski boots, etc), so we held our breath when we ordered these for a last minute winter getaway. The EE width actually worked - he needed something more substantial than mere apres-ski boots, as we were hiking around in wet snow for hours, sledding/snowball fights, etc and these boots were comfortable & kept his feet warm & dry. The other plus is that they don't look like orthopedic shoes (which can be the unfortunate case with shoes/boots for extra wide feet).

Waterproof and insulated so they are not lightweight. However, the workmanship is too-quality, and they will be warm and dry for my husband. He has a deformed ankle and had no problem getting these on. Great boots!

I bought these to replace 10 year old Columbia's that served me very well but finally started to fall apart. These appear to be matching quality and fit the same. I'm very pleased and can feel the improved traction on slick surfaces with the Michelin tread on the sole when compared to the boots these are replacing, they have siping just like a car tire. If you don't know what that is just Google it. Also very warm and comfortable. No regrets on this purchase.

Can't tell you about performance yet, but I can tell you about the width. I confirmed that I received the wide version of the boot, but if this is wide, I would hate to see the regular. These boots are not nearly wide enough!

I feel that the shoes may be running a half size small. I ordered a 9 and it was spot on. Exact same shoe but 1/2 size bigger, great fit.

Not very warm. Columbia boasts -25F, but my toes started going numb at 7 degrees above zero. Not much insulation. Also the upper two rows of eyelets are very close together & difficult to thread and tighten.

Warm, dry, great tread. Fits my super wide feet perfectly!

Warm and waterproof - it floats my boat!

I purchased this for my fiancee, he was obsessed with ACG's, but we could not find any NYC, that were his size. So I suggested these, long story short, he is in absolute live.

Very comfortable warm boot. I ordered 1/2 size up than usual and boots fit perfect.
