I love these! I haven’t gotten to test their waterproof ability yet but as far as comfort they’re great, no break in needed. The complaint I’ve read is that they are narrow for some—i will vouch for this. I’m a petite person with very skinny legs and usually mid hiking boots are big and clunky and come up slightly too tall and rub my shins . These are more narrow, lighter weight and do not come up too high. If you have a wider foot or need more toe space these might not suit you. I should mention they also have a moderate hiking grip on the bottom as compared to the more intense contagrip or Vibram. These are probably not for intense mountaineering or very rough terrain. They’re very comfortable and don’t make me look like I’m wearing yeti boots for once! Perfect for someone who will be hiking some trails and outdoor activities but not doing anything super serious.

I ordered a half size up to accommodate thick socks, not sure that was necessary. They needed very little breaking in and are warm and seem to be pretty water proof. The treads are excellent for snow and rain.

BUY THESE BOOTS. They are lightweight, waterproof, and not bulky - what more could you ask for? OH YEAH they also have great tread and a really comfortable insole. Also, there's been no break-in process - I've put about 15 miles on these boots in the past week and don't have any blisters to show for it. They were comfy from the moment I put them on. I was a bit worried purchasing these that they might keep my toes a little too toasty in the summer, but so far they seem to keep pretty cool. I am pumped on these!

Works great for why I purchased them. The fit feels more narrow than other Merrell's I own but they wore in without giving me pain or blisters within one day. I hiked in a muddy area and my feet stayed dry and warm. I'm happy with this purchase.

Merrell is my favorite brand for footwear that will accommodate my foot issues. I need a boot with ankle support for an upcoming trip to Europe and thought these black Siren Traveller's would work. However, the black is not a true black. It is hard to describe, but I just didn't like it. The fit, style and sturdiness were all great, but since I'll have these for years, the color has to be great, too.

I ordered a 9.5, but would have preferred a 10. There were no 10s left. The 9.5 was way too short, so I decided to try the 10.5, in brown because there were no black left. The 10.5 fits perfect, and I could add heavier socks, if needed. My recommendation for others is to order at least 1/2 size up. These boots are very comfortable and look nice, instead of clunky heavy duty boots.

These are comfortable shoes with a good sized toe box. They have a slimmer/sleeker design than some hiking boots that seem heavy and look huge.

I have yet to wear them hiking but so far wearing them around has been great. The left boot was pressing a little onto my ankles, but I switched the insoles and my entire foot fit better. Loving the black, and the inside padding is soft! True to size. I've worn Nike sports socks with these boots and they still fit well. Not sure about thicker winter socks though. Overall, keeping these and excited to hike in them!

Wore these Merrill’s for the first time on a trip to Iceland. I have very painful Plantar Fasciitis. Walked all over including the Golden Circle. These shoes saved my feet! Highly recommended!!!

These boots are well made and would be great for hiking or just getting around in winter, but the fit was just too narrow. Had to return them.

Fit perfectly. I have narrow heels and high arches, and these feel supportive. There's room for thicker socks when I need them. The waterproofing makes them less breathable than some, but it's worth it for the protection from cold and wet. I'm mostly wearing these on my daily commute and are a fantastic choice for that kind of walking (variable terrain and weather but shorter walks)-- the lighter weight is a good choice for that. But looking forward to hiking in them!

These are good looking for a "hiking boot." They are less clunky than my other hikers and look more like a sneaker so I will be able to use them for urban adventures, which is just what I was looking for. The toe box is wide enough for me with my smartwool socks, and my narrow heel fits nicely in the deep heel cup without slipping (merrell is one of the few brands that is wide enough at front and narrow enough at back for my average width, skinny feet with narrow heels). I did find the toe box to be less roomy than my other Merrells, I think because it is lower on top. I also need better arch support than the insoles provided and my custom orthotic made my toes feel cramped so I can't use it. My orthotic is pretty bulky, so instead I used super feet insoles and that fits fine. I usually wear a size 8.5 in athletic shoes and a size 8 in street shoes. All my other Merrells are a size 8, but in these, I had to exchange for the 8.5, probably because the toe box has less volume.

This shoe is super cute for a water-resistant "boot." The style is between a boot and tennis shoe, and the two-toned upper makes my feet look smaller. I wear custom orthotics, and after removing the insole the orthotics fit perfectly. They are narrower than expected, and I have to wear thinner socks. If you want thick socks, I'd recommend a half size larger. Comfortable to walk in from the first day.

I liked the look of these boots but they had very little interior padding and only light arch support. They did feel true to size. Due to the light padding, my heel would rise up as I walked in them. This shoe would not provide the support I need for the hikes I take, so I returned them.

I wear a size 9. The toe box was way too small. Tried to loosen the laces at the toe box but I eventually had to return them and got a 9.5. These were so comfortable. I will be checking for different colors in this shoe.

Excellent hiking shoe. Can't believe how sturdy they are....I live in hiking country and wear these almost every day...year round. Well made, not easy to clean, but that is proof of a good hiking shoe. Laces are as strong as the soles. Great shoe.

These boots have been great so far. I have ankle stability issues and these boots give me the support I need while hiking moderately rocky trails. They're comfortable and not too heavy.

These boots fit true to size and are comfortable. I've already taken them out a few times and they have been great in wet and slippery areas. Definitely happy with the purchase.

I was nervous to order these online but they fit great! I got the same size I always get in Merrell, I love their consistency. I've put them to some good use already and they were easy to break in, they are also very waterproof, I've walked through some streams and the water just falls right off. It's definitely worth it to invest in these. No complains at all.

I've only worn my new boots walking my dog around the neighborhood and down by the river, but they fit very well and are comfortable. I need a special fit due to high arches and instep---these are a more neutral foot position and that helps. I like them very much so far and look forward to backpacking.

I absolutely love these. I was a little weary when first trying them on as they felt a tad snug and the arch seemed also a wee bit high for me but after a few wears they are so comfortable. I've worn them in light rain and snow and stepped into a deep puddle in the woods with them on and they barely got my feet wet (only from seeping in the top) My ONLY complaint with these are they are a bit of a struggle for me to put on. I have to really undo the laces and put them to get my foot in. Once my feet are in though, it is a PERFECT fit.

Love, love, love these boots! This is the sixth pair of merrell hikers I have purchased over the years. Normally I buy from the moab collection but decided to try something different. Light weight, laces stay tied, good support and no aching feet after hours of wear. As always they Required no break in period and fit great on my narrow foot. I recommend merrell products to everyone who spends time in the great outdoors. Nothing better than a new pair of merrell boots!

It feels great when I'm wearing it. Even the first hike- first wear- I didn't get blisters or sore feet. I hike trails that have dirt, sand, moss, etc. I'm a relatively new hiker, and these Merrell boots are the quality I have come to expect.
