I've been wearing these shoes in Arizona hiking, and I feel like I can depend on the grip nd control. But they are comfortable enough to wear off the trail, too. It's been quite wet here the past week, but my feet stay nice and dry!

I have difficult feet to fit - flat and toes that splay out - and use orthotics. I ordered a half size up as recommended and they fit perfectly with my orthotics with plenty of room in the toes. They were comfortable the minute I put them on, with good cushioning and flexible, but solid, soles.

Have been wearing these to hike in Arizona and I have been very happy with the comfort, grip, and fit.

After foot surgery (going from 8.5/9 AAA shoe size to 10 B), I have spent over a year trying to find a deep tread, relatively light weight, flexible-enough-sole hiking shoe to go with my six pairs of wonderful all wool L L Bean Boot Socks (TA218776) purchased about ten years ago. FNALLY! this shoe! It is not only beautiful, but is the right length and is adjustable to the right width for wearing with the thick wool socks. Ordered as a trial in a size 11- Women's; works perfectly. The bonus is that the shoe laces stay tied! They do not come double-knotted untied on their own in under an hour as many other shoe laces do. Wore perfectly tied shoes all three trial days in comfort. Thank you, L L Bean!

I am sorry that these shoes do not come in a narrow width. They are lightweight--presumably waterproof because of the Gortex, but too wide for me. Does Salomon offer narrow widths?

I've worn these shoes almost everyday since purchase. They didn't need breaking in. So far they have great traction on dry trails and on light snow. I'm very satisfied.

These hiking shoes are very comfortable. They are light weight and very sturdy. Being waterproof is a big plus.

I had great luck with a pair of Salomon hiking boots, so I decided to try another pair and I am once again thrilled!! I have flat, semi narrow feet and it is very difficult for me to find athletic type shoes that fit me correctly. These worked out perfectly for me! Just the right width and plenty of room for my orthotics. Sturdy, comfortable and supportive. They look super cool and stylish too!! Can't wait to take these out on the trails! I am buying a second pair in another color here soon. My feet feel so good in these I don't want to take them off!! For reference I am a 7.5 and that is what I ordered. I used the measuring chart and the length is perfect for me.

I love these shoes! I bought a pair at least 6 months ago, and I've been wearing them to walk my dog everyday about 4 miles. They are hardly showing any wear, they are super light and comfortable, and are water resistant so that I can walk through wet grass and not get wet feet!! My feet are narrow but with a wide toe area and these fit perfectly. I bought another pair just so when these eventually wear out I'll have them. I was afraid they would change the style before I could get them. I tried another Salomon shoe but it was too wide overall. These are great!!

After purchasing many pairs of Salomon shoes and being disappointed these are what I want and expect. My favorite shoes from Salomon have been vario 2 and ultra GTX all of which I now own a few pairs. These are my new favorite. They fit slim and comfortable for my narrow foot. Yay!

These are my favorite hiking shoes, they hold up well on slippery terrain.

This was a pair of shoes to replace another pair of the same design but different colour. There was a manufacturing fault but customer service was outstanding and new replacement pair was sent within 2 weeks. They are very comfortable and seem to withstand the occasional wet walk.
