These shoes feel lightweight, but grippy enough for hiking. My only complaint, and it may be significant, is that there is only one set of hooks to secure the laces, and they stick out enough that they are constantly catching the laces of the opposite boot. So I find myself stopping frequently to retie shoes. It could be mitigated by tucking laces in, but that isn't necessarily the look one wants . . . still on the fence about these.

My mother and I both bought a pair of these shoes at the same time. We have narrow feet and both ordered a half size down from what we normally wear. They fit great, were super lightweight and provided appropriate ankle support. They were waterproof and awesome for one year. At the one year mark, the material on the toe boxes of both sets of shoes started to deteriorate right along the toe crease. They are no longer water resistant and are wearing to the point you can see your socks! It is such a bummer that these shoes don't last.

I've had these boots for about 3 months and wear them often. They are really comfortable and look great! Only downfall is they stink. A skunk mildew smell that I can even smell when they are on my feet. I don't have smelly feet with other boots or shoes but this issue really stinks! (Pun intended) I've washed them several times and as soon as they warm up, the smell comes back. Super funky for such a pricey good looking boot!

I really like these shoes; very comfortable right out of the box. However, that top lace hook is straight up dangerous. The laces get caught up and bind your feet together. I see others have fallen with the same issue. I'm 69 and this just isn't a good feature on a hiking shoe.

I liked wide toe box (I have bunions) and the inner sole with an arch support. However, the left innersole felt like it was installed wrong - felt weird on the underside of my arch. I would have exchanged for a different pair but this, like the other Salomons that I tried, rubbed the inside of my right ankle.

I have recently tried these out as my last pair was Solomon. First, the gortex is not like my last pair. Noticed feeling damp in the socks. Also, they are very narrow in the toe area. They fit (toes aren't touching the end) and are the right size. However, they are narrow and cut off the circulation to my toes. Will be looking at other brands for my next pair.

I ventured into the lightweight boot market with this purchase and while they're very comfortable, and have done well hiking in the Whites and Maine, they are much more like a sneaker than a boot. I'll continue to use them-the soles are grippy for ledge climbing but they are better for summer/early fall and relatively fair weather hikes. Bonus at how attractive they are! I love the color way and wish manufacturers would explore more color combos like these...I hike hard but still like to look good.

These shoes are very lightweight but they are not waterproof. When I walk through wet grass, my feet are immediately wet...

I was reading review carefully and most people said it's fit true to size. However, it runs big and I need to exchange for half a size down. Shoes is great if you have narrow feet. I wish the handling would have been better because mine came in a box like this which was not exciting to received.

The right length for me, but VERY tight across the top of my foot, and I have narrow feet. I love my Salomon hiking boots, but am struggling to find a waterproof version with a good fit.

The first time out I took them off and my socks were soaking wet. I changed to cotton socks and they were much less wet. For me I will need more arch support. They are very light in weight which I like.

I haven't used these that much, couple times a year since I got them in 2020. Grip is great, lightweight, fit is comfy. But the waterproofness is an issue. The last trail I did was muddy and these could not hold up. They weren't soaked and I didn't realize how much wetness had seeped till I took them off socks and feet were both muddy. Would still keep these for hiking trails I know won't be muddy though.

The boots were very comfortable and fit well but unfortunately they are not waterproof. My toes got completely soaked walking through wet grass that is mowed regularly. I returned and ordered a second pair and they were just as bad. LL Bean was awesome with customer service and response time in sending and returning both pairs.

I hate to be writing this as a review because I've had salomon boots for years and I stand by them love them! I have had quest boots in the past but really wanted something more light weight for summer. I hike at least twice a week. I bought these boots 2 months ago and I was so happy with them! I never slipped on rock surfaces, they are light, I did not seem to have the waterproofing issue that others have my feet stayed dry and they fit so nicely. After one month I started to notice more wear than I have on my other boots I generally have my boots for a year before I need a new pair or at least 6 months. By now on month two I'm starting to see holes forming in the toe box area, the soles are very worn in some areas which is making the grip that was amazing not the best and little spots on the soles are separating. Normally I don't write reviews like this but I'd hate for someone else that hikes as much as I do waste their money. I tried to write privately but the contact page was not working. I wish I could just afford to by a new pair of these every 2 months because they are great up until then but I just cant do that. I'm very upset that I have to find a new pair right now as I hike for work but can't really afford a second pair this season. I really expected more out of these especially because I loved them so much.

I bought these boots in Sept 2021. These shoes fit my feet like a glove, and there was virtually no break in time. I've only hiked in them 6-7 times and I'm finding that they are allowing moisture to seep in often on the top of my foot which translates to cold and wet feet. I tried walking the city streets in the rain and they are definitely letting water in as opposed to sweaty feet. I'm pretty disappointed as I'm feeling like I have to replace these hikers and relegate them to dry summer hikes.

These hiking boots have a soft sole, so if you are hiking in rocky terrain you will feel every rock. I have had these shoes for 1 year and the sole is gone. I have low hiking boots for summer so these have worn down in 6 months. I am almost through the sole entirely and now have to buy another hiking boot. On a good note, I do like the goretex in these. I walk through ice and snow and they do keep my feet dry.I just wish these came with a harder or thicker more durable sole.

These seem like really nice boots. But, they run small. I am a size 8.5, purchased a 9, and can't get my foot in them. Will try a bigger size.

Bummed. I have normal to wide feet and these were way too tight on me. I did order my regular shoe size, but I'm not sure ordering up a size would be any better considering they seem to be designed for narrow feet. There is also very little toe room in the front. I had to return them - I imagine they would hurt my feet after a mile or so.

I have owned several pairs of women's salomon boots and sneakers and loved them all. I recently go these and have worn them for 5-6 days at this point. True to brand, they have not required any break in and are, for the most part, very comfortable shoes. However, the last two times I've worn them, I have had such severe ankle pain in my left ankle where the boot hits my ankle bone on the outside of my leg that I have had to take them off and walk without a shoe on. I do not experience this pain in any other shoes (sneakers, sandals, etc) and think it must be a result of the boot, though it is only in my left ankle. I am not quite sure what to think of this, but wonder if the rise of the boot is too high for my feet/leg? It's too bad because otherwise these boots are so comfortable, vegan, and exactly what I am looking for! And I love Salomon!

I bought these shoes because of the Gortex and for the fact that they were lightweight and more like a running shoe. I've hiked a few winter hikes in them so far and they did ok. I did my first backpacking trip in them last week and my feet got wet on the first creek crossing. I was slightly disappointed. I guess I should've known better and just stuck with my trail running shoes. (And yes, I wore good quality hiking socks-Darn Tough).

So, im onto my 2nd pair of these boots. 1st pair failed miserably to keep my feet dry, after about 6 months the fabric started to fray. I sent them back to the retailer I bought them from after a short while they were deemed as faulty. I purchased another pair because I actually love them, they are so, so, so comfortable and light. No breaking in needed, able to walk for miles with no issue and most importantly for me brilliant ankle support. Two months in the same problem of wet feet and fabric fraying, sent back again and again deemed faulty. Im tempted to purchase another pair but...will the same problem happen again, was I just unluck? I love Salomon footwear but these boots have not seen me anywhere near 12 months. What to do as the fit, the comfort is perfect?

Love how lightweight and comfortable these boots are but they are not waterproof. Did a hike on a misty day on trails covered with wet leaves and my feet were wet and the boots were still wet inside the next day.

I loved the lightweight feel of these and so I thought I would keep them. But after a few walks just around the neighborhood, I have noticed a dangerous flaw. The hooks for the laces stick out far enough from the boot that they "catch" the looped laces from the other boot! At first, I was just annoyed, as I would have to stop and re-tie the other shoe. But then I started double-knotting. And the last time they caught, I almost fell! Too bad, because I otherwise liked the feel of this boot.
