I've been out on three height since I bought these, and have nothing but good things to say. One of the hikes started out very sloppy, with a lot of slush and standing water, but my feet stayed perfectly dry. Another hike was up into the high peaks of New Hampshire, where the temperature at the peak was 0 degrees, yet my feet were perfectly warm, but not sweaty. Both the breathability and the warmth of these boots were major factors in me purchasing them, and they didn't disappoint. They were very comfortable right out of the box, and I immediately headed up a 4300-foot peak in total comfort. I also ran down the total length of the mountain, and the boots were very supportive. I don't have weak ankles, but those that do might appreciate the high collar. The Contagrip sole is very effective, and I have full confidence in them as I'm hiking. I'm looking forward to many more years of service out of these highly-recommended boots.

I wear Salomon boots because I have narrow feet (c) and the Salomon boots tend to be a little more snug than other medium (d) width snow boots.

I've owned these boots for the last few months and used them roughly 10 times. They are light enough to run on snow packet trails and sturdy enough to hike in. I used their sizing guide and feel like the size I ordered is perfect.

Excellent boots: my feet are warm & dry with just a pair of cotton socks. Comfortable fit and easy to take on & off.

I've been using these boots for about 3 years in Michigan's upper peninsula. They're great boots: light weight, not bulky, decent warmth, seemingly quite durable. These boots are an excellent combination of weight, warmth, and strength. Highly recommended!!!

I normally wear a 10 1/2 or 11 and feel that I have average/normal width feet. I tried these in both 11 and 11 1/2 based on reviews. I think either would have been good, the 11 fit more like a "shoe", albeit on the snug side but not too short - just the right length. The 11 1/2 feels more like a "boot" - more comfy in the overall foot/width but just has that extra length I didn't really need. Overall though the 11 1/2 felt better without being sloppy and have more freedom to add a thicker sock if the temperature requires it, so kept those. Have yet to take them into the cold...

I can't yet speak to the temperature range at which these boots are warm enough to wear, but I can tell you that I walked around a flooded Charleston, SC for a day and was comfortable and dry (at least my feet were). I hadn't had a chance to break them in or do anything more than try them on for 10 minutes before literally spending an entire day walking around in them in the rain.

I buy Solomon's to do my job outside. This boot is good, but the waterproof doesn't last long. However, I've never owned a waterproof shoe/boot that can handle what I do for a living. Overall comfortable, a little smaller fit but not bad, durable and the gator ring makes it easier to gear up. I buy Solomon for my job and will never change. Their shoes over all are the most comfortable, durable and easiest to break in for what I do.

How I wish these extremely well made boots did not run narrow for their size. But unfortunately, they did. Going a size up would have risked the boots looking too big (lengthwise) given they don't have half-size increments.
I'd also recommend:

Wear these daily. The fit is perfect (size 8.5). At -24F (air temperature in Fairbanks AK) these were warm when I started a 2-mile walk with my dog, and they were warm when we finished. Wore Copperfit crew socks. Grip was great on hard pack snow with ice underneath and loose snow on top. Easily sheds loose snow.

I read all the reviews before purchasing these boots. They were the main reason I bought them. I 100% agree with the reviews. They are the most comfortable boot I ever put on right out of the box. Super warm and very light. They are made with high quality components I feel. I've been wearing them for two weeks and have no complaints. The only possible drawback would be how warm they are. My feet do sweat a little in warmer temperatures. I would definitely recommend. They are a great boot.

The boots feel lighter than I would have expected, but the warmth is spot on. Good traction and they seem to be holding up well. Looking forward to many miles in these. Runs true to size. My feet are just above average width.

I've been wearing these for a couple Vermont winters, and they are the best winter boots I've owned, overall. In particular, they are very light weight and flexible, so they're excellent for winter trail running. They have excellent traction/grip. I also prefer a minimal sole height and heel drop (I usually wear minimalist shoes), and these feel about as good as you're going to get for a winter boot, in that regard. I have narrow feet, and these fit great. These boots are rated to be 'comfortable' down to 21F, which seems right based on my experience. I'm fine with these in the single digits and teens, but only if I'm trail running (for an hour or so). So if you are going to be more stationary/walking/longer hikes in temps below the 20's, you may want a warmer boot (like the Toundra). I would buy these again without hesitation - they are perfect lightweight winter boots.

one of the best hikers I have ever had - my favorite feature is they slip easily on and off. great arch support. They do run a narrow than my previous boots , but I have a narrower foot so they were perfect! Have already trudge through shallow water and snow and feet are dry and warm. they even work well with my micro cleats easy on and off.
