Bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife. She loves the fit of the jacket and that it has some tailoring to it and not just a boxy shape. The length of the jacket and sleeves are pretty long with works great for her as she is pretty tall with long arms. Nice to have a jacket that is long enough in the back and doesn't expose your wrists. The hood fits well also.
The jacket is very warm . She runs a little cold and says with this on, she is always warm, even in the coldest temps. When it was -25F (not wind chill, actual temp), she was plenty warm in this jacket. The zipper is a little finicky but just pay attention when zipping and it's OK.
Only problem we had was sizing as the first one was a little too small even though the sizing chart said it was OK and her size was almost exactly as described on the models in the pictures. Not a problem as customer service took care of us and got us one in the right size. Thanks!!
She would definitely recommend this jacket for anyone looking for a warm, comfortable, nice looking winter jacket.

I bought this jacket to replace an older non-Arcteryx down jacket that I had. I am always cold, and so was looking for something that would keep me warm! I have worn this jacket all winter on long walks, and on colder days when skiing at the hill under my shell. This jacket is amazingly warm. The jacket is quite long, in comparison to other jackets that I own, which I have found to be really a great feature. I am able to fit multiple layers, and even my atom jacket underneath it. Thank you Arcteryx...this was just what I was looking for!

Bought this jacket at the start of the year and it's been my go-to down layer. Bomber weather resistance when it's really coming down and extremely warm for the weight. Fit is just right, as well, not too bulky or too trim.

Extremely durable material, easy to layer during winter. Awesome colors to choose from, i got the paragon color. Love the embroidery(?) Arcteryx logo on the chest too. Slightly water resistant

I bought this jacket a few months ago now, it is wonderfully cozy and light, well constructed and very packable. Love the jacket, nice fit with long sleeves.

Bought this as a mid layer and stand alone down jacket for milder weather, but I was totally shocked at how warm it is alone! It's a great jacket for Ottawa winters, which are unpredictable. Pair it with a shell and it's perfect. It's a great fit and true to size. The sleeve length is great, fits longer arms because of the articulated sleeves. The overall length of the jacket is great too, just covers enough without being in the way. Use it for hiking, snowshoeing and walking my dogs.

I was looking for an all-use jacket that I could wear in the Vancouver Island winter without a shell for casual walks & every day use. I found it in the Thorium AR! This is a super comfy jacket, with good insulation and enough water repellency to manage a dog walk in the drizzling rain. It's a bit tight for a larger chest, but overall it was just what I was looking for.

I have used this jacket all winter in the Teton Valley. It is cold and dry here. Most mornings start out between 0F and -8F with a high of 15F - 20 F. The Thorium AR is perfect! It becomes that favorite jacket that you always grab in the morning to fight the freezing temps and remains comfortable throughout the day.
This is not your lightweight puffy. It has plenty of down fill to keep you warm. The outer fabric is durable and provides extra protection from the elements. The cut is perfect - a bit long down the back, great articulation and a nice collar to keep the drafts out. The simple, one-way zipper is not the least bit fiddle and is tough and reliable.
I am 5'10" and 190 lbs. The large is a perfect fit.
I use this coat everyday for just being out in the cold and I also wear it as a layer under a shell for alpine skiing in sub-zero weather. You hardly know it is on and there are no cold spots. Great product!

I recently bought this and I am very impression so far. The kingfisher blue is a great color, a little better color (darker slightly) in person that on the website. it is lightweight, very comfortable, and I can't wait to get it out into some cold spring nights.

I bought this in November and wow I seriously love this jacket! I grab for it the most out of atom LT or cerium jackets. It's so warm, fits true to size with room for layers underneath. Great under shell jacket for skiing, hiking, or walking around up to -10. It's kept me warm in -25 weather for skiing with sweater underneath and shell overtop. If your looking for a good all around mid layer jacket/ single layer peice this is it!

This jacket is amazing. So warm the hood will keep your head warm whenever it is cold. It zips all the way to the top so the wind can't penetrate you when there is bad weather. It's also light but efficient in getting the job done. Great product!!!!

Great warmth-to-weight, easy to maintain, and packable. Be sure to thoroughly dry after wash avoid clumping and loose down from poking through. Fitting is tailored, yet roomy and breathable enough for climate control during winter hikes. Couple this (or any insulated jacket) with a waterproof shell and you're good to go year round.

Love this puffy! Zips up super high, and I am shocked how warm it is! I am constantly cold but this jacket is a miracle. Wore it all winder, and layered a base layer and mid layer (Atom LT) for cold days. Just all around fell in love with this jacket immediately. I have broad shoulders but the shoulders and arms are not too tight and give me lots of room to move. Purchased the Enigma in XS, pale pink arc'teryx logo.

I bought this jacket for my girlfriend about 5 months ago. The fit is spot on and it looks good. She's been wearing it nearly every day and no rips or tears. She usually runs cold but even though this jacket is really light-weight it has always kept her warm. She's about 5'8 & 126lbs and wears a small.

This is my second purchase of a Thorium (I have the black and enigma) I absolutely love the design and wear of these jackets. Nothing quite compares! Would recommend them to anyone, definitely worth the price for the quality & versatility for all year round wear.

I got this because we have been in the midst of a huge cold snap and my Canada Goose has been leaking feathers everywhere. I am really happy with the purchase. Aside from being very warm, the jacket is very comfortable and roomy for layering. Keep in mind it is regular cut, which is what I wanted. If you are looking for slim fit this is not the one for you. Also one note, it is great as a stand alone for work and basic outside activity. I would probably not recommend it for skiing or serious cold weather sports as the seams are not taped off and it would let wind in. Other than that it is great and looks good too.

I was looking for a midlayer puffy for backcountry skiing and overnight snowshoe trips. I have a thinner puffy for summer hikes but does not keep me warm enough in the winter. This jacket fits perfectly, compresses nicely to be packed in my bag and keeps me nice and warm!

Bought this last year (12/19) for a 4 day trip to NYC. it was 30 when we got off the plane. It never got over 42 the 4 days. Was windy some days. We stayed out for hours each day/night. I had a t-shirt and a light weight sweater under this and never got cold. Insulated hood worked perfectly. I don't like the cold and was very comfortable the whole time. It was a good purchase. Very lightweight. Got a lot of comments on how good it looked.

Hey guys,
I am a big time fan of Arcteryx products for years and have used Therme, Thorim jackets in past. The 2020 Thorim Jacket is same in quality, but the fitting is off for few jackets.
I tried size medium in colors 24K Inverse and Dracaena, the 24K inverse medium was fitting as how it supposed to fit for a medium, while 4-5 medium jackets in color Dracaena were tight under the arms and waist area. I was quite surprised, the tightness under the arm left no room for a light sweatshirt.
Same problem was noted by me in Black 24K Medium , the sizing of March 2020 was perfect, but July 2020 was off.
My conclusion is that Arcteryx should really work to better their standards around sizing considering the price charged to consumers.

I bought this jacket to be my insulation in a layer system and even as a standalone its great and warm the only thing that I'm worried is that it leaks some down at the seams I hope this will stop with time

This really is a great down jacket. The fabric on the inside is nice and soft and the outer shell feels robust and durable.
Warmth is subjective, but i run cold and can wear this down to -12c with just a t-shirt underneath. I can also push it to -20c with a thick base layer.
It also looks great and the 24k black / gold combination is spot on.
My only concern is sizing...i'm tall and lanky (6'3") and feel as though the jacket fits great on my upper body (wearing a size medium) - but i wish it was an extra inch in the arms. I tried a large, but it felt too baggy on the torso. I guess i'm between sizes! Anyway, it's still a great fit.
This in my opinion is a much better option than the Cerium LT - sure it's heavier and doesn't pack down as well...but who actually cares? At the end of the day It's still light and compressible. The Cerium LT feels flimsy and fragile (urgh, that zipper!) compared to the Thorium. The Thorium is also a much warmer jacket.
This is my first Arcteryx purchase - I am impressed!
