I love the hooks at the top of the boot which make putting the boot on and off easy to do. This boot feels goods and provide protection from dirt and mud on the trails.

I WEAR THESE BOOTS ALL SUMMER ON THE FARM FIELDS AND FOR HUNTING. THE VENTS KEPT MY FEET FROM OVERHEATING(VERY IMPORTANT TO ME). AND THE GORETEX KEEPS MY FEET DRY IN THE MORNINGS WET GRASS IN THE FIELDS, AND WHEN HUNTING--HIKING. AND ANOTHER HUGE PLUS===THEY ARE LIGHT WEIGHT, I AM 65, BOUGHT A LOT OF SHOES IN MY YRS- THESE ARE HIGHLY RECOMENDED...AND DEALING WITH TIMBERLAND HAS BEEN A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE. YOU CAN TELL THEY ARE WILLING TO PLEASE!!!

I've had a pair of these for over 20 years and still wearing them. Just bought a new pair and they are as comfortable as my old ones. I can't find a reason to buy any other brand.

Quality boot, the leather appears to be durable and solid. The boots look even better than the picture. They are well constructed. Very pleased

I have an older pair of Timberland White Ledge Waterproof boots that I have reserved for cold weather/snow conditions. For at least 12 years, I've beat on these things. While the tread has worn down some and I've replaced laces a few times, the uppers are solid, but a little rough. Besides needing a good polishing, some of the waterproofing has worn thin. Given the good experience, I decided on a new pair choosing the Chocorua Trail 2. The leather and waterproofing are upscale and look great. I usually wear either a 7 Wide or 7.5 Meium. Ordered the 7 Wides. When they arrived, they slipped right on with good toe room, but a bit snug across the midfoot. I sent them back to Timberland and obtained a size 7.5 Medium. These were still snug, but manageable. I've worn them several days. Like most Timberland over the ankle boots I've had, these are a little stiff. Initually, I feltl some ankle rubbing, but, after some break-in, they soften up. The feeling, while snug, is comfortable and secure. I've had no sense of overheating. It's too soon for me to judge the waterproofing nor durability. Hopefully, they'll perform as well or better than the White Ledge boots.

Comfortable boots. Wish there is a ring to pull at back. But it is still good without one.

The boots came in and seemed to be great quality. However one boot had a small scratch on it. I will be returning and reordering the same pair of boots.

They seem well made, sturdy, warm, and look great. However, they ended up being a wee bit small. I have bought the same Maddsen style of Timberlands for many years in a size 10W that always fits perfectly, like a glove. (I typically wear a US 10 in wide shoes, and 10.5 if the shoes are medium) So I decided to order these Chocorua boots in the same size, but discovered that I can feel my big toe hitting the end of the shoe when wearing. These boots do seem to have more padding or insulation and they contain GorTex which my other boots do not, so perhaps that explains it. I have returned for a half size larger and we'll see if that does the trick.

Nice comfortable boot and like the way it looks. Will not be wearing it extensively until the fall so cannot comment yet on durability, but have had good luck with other Timberland purchases.

Had these shoes since the beginning of 2016 where I traveled to over 15 national parks in the western part of the United States including Olympic National Park, Crater Lake, Zion, Yosemite, Death Valley, etc. These shoes were put to the test and after four years of hiking in all types of terrain and climbing half dome three times - I can say that these are the best hiking shoes that fits my lifestyle. If I could criticize one thing about the shoe is that it is slightly bulky and it would be nice to see a lighter weight version of the same pair of shoes. Otherwise, I am highly satisfied and am purchasing my second pair.
