As soon as I got these, I went to New York and walked around a bit. My activity tracker says I did 6 miles and I was pretty comfortable with these. No complaints.

My favorite winter walking shoe is an Ahnu that is not offered any longer... so I tried this shoe. It's a bit clunky but the... it's a walking shoe. It fits great, is not too tight across my instep with a nice wide toe box. Overall it's a great show. If it was just a bit more stylish I would have rated 5 stars. I expect to wear it a LOT this fall and winter.

I had high hopes for a comfortable fit with these NB sneakers. I ordered a half size larger to allow for a thick winter sock. But when trying them on with thinner socks I was so surprized that they were small/short. The width seemed fine. I, also, found a "loose" grommet from one of the holes for the laces. Poor quality for NB. They're going back.

The shoe arrived dirty, as though someone had worn them and scuffed the top in one spot. The tongue of the shoe was long, wide, and not flexible at the top because of the leather logo patch. This made them hard to lace properly.

I love the fit of these shoes. I wear a size 12, and these fit me perfectly. I was very happy with them until I work up, after wearing them for a couple weeks, and could feel a little soreness in my heel. Plantar fasciitis pain ?. I then asked, apparently the differential is 10-12mm. Too much for me. If you don’t have problems with fasciitis, these shoes are great. I was going to order a second pair, because I love the fit so much, but not now.

I am disappointed in the very stiff construction and the very narrow width.

I ordered these in my usual size in a walking shoe: 7.5WW. In dressier shoes, I wear a 7WW. I could barely get my foot into these shoes--they looked narrow, right out of the box, and were also a good deal too short, when I finally worked my foot into one of them. I have at least a dozen pairs of New Balance walking shoes, as they are just about the only ones that come wide enough for me, but these are going right back. Too bad, as I did like the look of them.

Nice looking shoe and my orthopedic insert fit well but they felt heavy and very stiff.

These shoes were very comfortable when I initially tried them on, so I had high hopes. I need a pair of good walking shoes with great arch support for Disney World in December, so I need to break them in NOW. Sadly, when I used them on the treadmill after an hour I was DYING to get them off. They were still comfortable in support, but NO breathability unlike my old shoes (also New Balance.) My feet were so hot and uncomfortable. So, lesson learned, I am testing a new batch of shoes with more ventilation.

My fit issue is a combination of wide across the toes, but a narrow heel. I've found a good fit with NB for decades and looked to the brand when it came time to replace my NB Country Walkers (size 10D fit great, but a little tight). My most recent purchase were sneakers in a 10 4E that turned out to be too wide and a little long, although serviceable with heavy socks. So I bought these as an all terrain walking shoe that could tolerate some wet ground. The size 10 2E fit was very good in length and most of the foot, except the width at the toes was too tight. The shoe is quite stiff, so unclear whether they would "break in". Back they went to Zappos. Would have ordered at 3E or 4E, but not an option in this model. (FYI - went to a bricks & mortar to get some help on figuring out my options for a trail shoe that fit. Wound up with a men's Merrell Moab Vent 2 WP in a size 8 W that fit, is waterproof and overall more flexible on the foot.) Unfortunately, NB may be yet another brand falling to the plague of inconsistent sizing/fit. Although the convenience of Zappos excellent service with returns, it takes up a lot of time to process through a lot of shoes to find something that fits. The issue is NB's...not Zappos'.

I was a little disappointed with this shoe. I have others from NB that fit perfectly and are very comfortable. The right shoes actually feels a little tight in the width and overall these shoes run a little smaller than other NB shoes.
