There was something off about the fit of these ... felt both too boxy and too narrow at the same time. The color was very muted and not a pretty dark gray but more of a muddy gray. Overall, a very strange shoe and a real miss for NB

I have lymphedema which impacts my swelling with heat and amount of time on my feet. I require an unrestricted toe box to adapt to this change. This shoe is restrictive in the stitching at the toe, even in 2 EE. The heel, however, is too large for my needs. I've had better fit with other New Balance shoes.

Something changed about the toe box for New Balance and my usual 7.5WW doesn't fit anymore. I tried a half size up and it still rubbed my toe. Very disappointing. I had to change brands after 11 years.

The fit of this shoe was too wide for me. I always purchase NB but this shoe just didn't fit right. Free return policy from NB is great.

I ordered 8.5 Wide, my usual size, and I could not even get my foot in these shoes. They are very hard and stiff, and I did not like the look at all. Had to return them.

Not waterproof!!! I've learned to test the shoes to make sure they are waterproof before I wear them out. These shoes went right through within a 2min drizzel. They are ridiculously but they are pretty chunky so they wouldn't do well as my every day running around shoe either.

This shoe has more pointed toe than most New Balance. Even in a EE width, it pulled my toes together. Very uncomfortable.

What happened to the all leather waterproof New Balance walking / trail? shoe?
I still have one several years old. Perfect material, toe box not narrow, 2x width perfect to accommodate custom orthotics, but had to go up half size, to 9& thick socks. Now these mesh material shoes are the craze but there is not much support. I just returned one that was almost good size as 8 still had good half inch fro tip of toe to shoe tip; but the 2x width just felt like regular width. I will try half size larger & 2x but if still no success it has to go back. If I keep going up in size to try to fit wide feet I will end up with a “boat”. Not sure what happened to New Balance but it’s disappointing. I have been a fan for many years but looks like will have to look at something else? Why all this mesh material??

Unfortunately, these don't work for me. They feel ok, but on the plane (when the feet swelled up) the top became painful, even untied. Wish I could still return them and go back to Asics.

6WW in New Balance usually fits perfect. These are too narrow, too short, and don't accommodate my high instep. The sole and shoe in general is very stiff. I like the style and mesh, but returned them.

These shoes don't have any arch support and cause heel pain. Only good thing is it's waterproof.

I bought these shoes by recommendation from my podiatrist, (one of many) and the reviews. They were true to size. However, they were not true to comfort. This model had great lack of cushion; what I look for in a shoe due to plantar.

I've always worn this brand in the same size (8.5 W) and been very pleased with the fit, but this pair was significantly smaller. I returned them.

Loved the chocolate brown color of these shoes. But...I ordered a 2E. The width was barely adequate in the forefoot. But the toes? Completely squished! And little support/cushion throughout.

I don’t know what NB has done to their shoe construction, but this shoe made my feet hurt, from the footbed out. And since I took them out for break-in walks I was unable to return them. I was a NB lover for two decades but will be moving on to other brands that will be nicer to my feet.

I have purchased New Balance for years in size 7 EE and they have been one of the few brands to fit and feel comfortable. I don't know if they have changed their "molds or forms", but these, and other NB shoes have been way too narrow. I have matched the soles to my older NB shoes and the new ones are noticeably more narrow. I very much like the style of these shoes and really hoped they would fit, however, they simply didn't work for me.

These are wonderful shoes for hiking and look well made, but sadly they really did not fit like women's size 7 width EE should. Unfortunately I needed to return them. I am an active, fit walker and hiker with wide feet. Over the years, I and have purchased many pairs of New Balance shoes and always found some that fit my toe box and width. That is no longer true. The toe box and the joint area below the toes are not wide enough even though my feet have not changed during this time. Other people's reviews to the New Balance site have commented on the same problem. I wish New Balance would redesign at least one line of shoes (especially with traction for hiking) that people like me could buy. I would be a faithful consumer, and would purchase active-wear shoes only from your company!!

Bought this same model 3 years ago. This redesign is horrible. The cushion is not good at all. Constantly getting shin splints when I walk in these shoes.

I have been a New Balance fan for a number of years and only buy that brand of sneakers & athletic shoes. When my old Columbia water-resistant shoes were no longer water-resistant, I quickly went to find a similar type in New Balance. I tried my normal size for water-resistant style WW1350W1, but those shoes were way too big so returned them for 1/2 size smaller. The fit was fine. I wore them on a day I had to stand in line for ~2hrs to get a flu shot and that night I had terrible leg cramps. I thought it was the arch support, so went through 2 different brands of arch supports with and without the pad that came in the shoes to try and make them feel as comfortable as all my other New Balance shoes. Wearing them for a few hours only was OK, but yesterday I wore them for a full day. Last night I had severe leg cramps again. For some reason, no matter what I do to make these shoes "fit", they never will. Terrible for me since they cost $130. Since I still need water-resistant shoes, I went back to tried-and-true Columbia brand.

I was hoping these would work well for long walks of 5 miles +, but I ended up with extremely painful feet, possibly due to excessive stiffness of this shoe, so I ended up returning them
