My husband has been wearing 12 4E for years. He has not gained weight and his feet do not swell during the day. These shoes felt like they were at least 1/2 size to small.

A perfectly fine walking shoe on the whole. The width is a little too snug, however.

I had to send these shoes back as they were tight and I just didn't think a larger or wider size would work.

I first ordered this shoe in 11.5 US size. It was too small. I decided I needed 12.5, but it is not made in that size. I ordered in size 13, now it is a bit too big. I went for a 4 mile walk wearing them and they caused near blisters on both feet. I took the very thin, insoles out and put some orthotic metatarsal support insoles in them. They feel much better, I want to keep them, so I am hoping the new insoles will fix the issues. The chocolate color takes a little getting used to.

Nice looking. Very comfortable. One big problem for me - it is cut high and rubs on my ankle. Too bad. They are really nice otherwise.

I purchased these as an everyday shoe, which now doesn't seem to be what they were designed for. They are comfortable and will likely be great for hiking, but are a bit too high for everyday use and don't breathe real well. Laces don't stay tied either. I do a lot of walking and other activities that require a sturdy, protective shoe, and these should work great for those days.

Not as comfortable as anticipated. Difficult to lace up.

Bought these 4 weeks ago. Fit is snug, and they are not waterproof at all! Got fat feet so have a lot of N. B. Experience, none are waterproof for more than a week or two.

This is a good shoe but I gave it 3 stars because it is not waterproof. I deliver mail and walk 6 & 1/2 hours. I've had the shoes for a couple of weeks and the grass has been wet just about every day. When I am done with my route my feet are wet. The first couple of times of days my feet were fairly dry but each day since they have gotten progressively wetter. If you are planning to buy the shoes based on them being waterproof, don't, but aside from that they are are very good shoe. Have even helped with the foot pain I've experienced for several years.

I sent them back and am waiting for my refund. I'm sorry to say they were too narrow for a 4E and they were squeezing my feet. I'm sorry.

We bought these in July and by November had to repair where the sole had come apart. That being said, he loved the comfort so much he wore them almost daily.

No where close to a 4E width. Not even EE. Runs waaay narrow.

These feel like they could be comfortable shoes except for the fact that the extra wide is not extra wide at all. I tried my hardest to make them work because I really like the look and
feel of them otherwise, but the discomfort of my toes being crammed together is too much. If you have really wide feet, don't waste your money on these because they are not wide like New Balance shoes used to be.

Good looking shoe, and it appears well built as are almost all New Balance shoes. I've been buying walking NB's for decades, but not the 'hi-tops'. I should have been more careful because although the shoe is comfortable, the uppers of the shoe rub my ankle bones until they are sore. I thought I could walk through the problem and that they would loosen up, but not so far. I probably have 20-25 miles on 'em, but fortunately I still have an old pair of NB's that are low profile. So if you're buying this shoe, give this issue some thought!

For a wide (4e) shoe it is tight over the instep. I don't know how comfortable the shoe is because of this. I have been ordering New Balance for 20 years because the 4e shoes were very comfortable but since they changed the 4e to extra wide I have been having trouble getting a new fit!

I used to be able to find wonderfully fitting shoes from NB. Unfortunately, lately NB's shoes are not deep enough to accommodate orthotics. If you wear orthotics do not buy these shoes. I sent a message toNB asking if they canTell me what the depth of various shoes are and I never received a response. Unfortunately I was forced to purchase shoes elsewhere. It's disappointing because I have been a loyal customer to NB for over 10 years.

I would never recommend this shoe to anyone. It's heavy and hard to put on. Lacing the shoe was also tuff. As a order guy I would get againnwould prefer Hoka high top or asisc gel much lighter better fit
