I got these for work in my lawn care business. I have wide feet and struggle to find shoes that fit true to size. These 4EE fit perfectly. Very comfortable. Very happy with this purchase.

These shoes look and feel great to walk in, but I'm disappointed with the tread wear. I've had them 12 weeks, and I've worn them about 1-2 hours a day and walked about 240 miles in that time. About 80% of that distance has been on concrete and asphalt. The tread at the ball of the foot is worn about half way. Similar New Balance shoes with about the same distance walked show far less wear.
I'd also recommend:
None - I've been wearing New Balance shoes for running and walking almost exclusively since 1973.

Good shoes, light and comfortable for walk and hike. 2E wide size is what fit my feet best.
Cons: shoes are not breathable enough. Leather will do better.

The fit is good in the toe box but a little sloppy in the rest of the shoe.

Needed a solid shoe that could hold up to my extreme pronation. Typically running shoes, including numerous previously purchased NB shoes, will quickly collapse the inner heal, especially on my right foot. Have tried multiple brands all with the same result. This hiking shoe has held up much better over a month of constant use. It runs a bit small. I've worn 14s my whole life and this one is a bit tight especially when my feet get warmed up. A 14 1/2 would have been perfect in this shoe, but they don't make one. Overall, it seems well built and is fairly comfortable.

With the exception of the shoelaces that untie after very few steps unless "double tied," and the fact that they are made in an adversarial foreign country, thus depriving Americans of employment opportunities, the shoes are very comfortable, attractive and appear durable.

I purchase these for work. Size 15E, still in process of breaking them in but so far so good no complaints.

I'm on my feet all day at work. The shoes are light and comfortable for the first couple of hours but there isn't much cushion in the insoles and it begins taking a toll on my feet. These shoes are probably more appropriate for outdoors and not for continuous hard surfaces.

Great hybrid shoe and boot for hikes. If you are looking for a shoe to support your ankles and your toes hurt from kicking rocks on dirt paths you should give these shoes a look.

The shoe is ok but the shoelaces are ----. They keep coming untied. In a 3 mile walk I have to retie them 4 or 5 times.

After purchasing a pair of NB 608v5's - I absolutely loved the 4E fit. I opted to buy another pair of NB shoes for work. I went with the new 1450's for my warehouse and office job. I noticed that the toe box is more narrow than other NB models, and the width seems to be a bit snugger than the sneakers. I imagine that this may be because this is a walking shoe/hiking boot and is designed to be a tighter fit for covering outdoor terrain.
My reccomendation: if you typically wear a size 10, buy a 10.5 and you should be right where you want to be. I haven't worn these in wet conditions yet, so I can't comment on the waterproofing. The width feels more like a size D wide, rather than 4EE. This may not be the boot for you if you are basing your sizing off of NB sneakers.
I'd also recommend:

NB lost a star because someone, in the company, seems to think women don't need a "Meaty" shoe like this. Women's are always shorter in hight, always. News flash, all of us do not have dainty feet. This is my 2nd pair of these and my 7th pair of NB tennis shoes. All were and are, a men's size 7. I need a 6 but nope, have to get a 7. I have an E width, high instep, hammer toes, etc. For the love of Pete; would it kill you folks to make a size 6?!?!?

Very comfortable. They include a hiking boot like lace and lace hook at the top. Nice and wide with good support.

We are trying to get the size that fits. Reviews said go up one size from regular NB sizing, which we did. My husband went with a 15 and myself a 9. Both were way too big. They were sent back. The 14 that was reordered for my husband was perfect, very comfortable and ready for a trip to London where we will do a lot of walking and touring. The 8 that came for me was still too big so I am going to a local NB retail shop for help in getting the right size for me. We are both NB customers for at least 10 years. It is the best shoe made for athletic support and comfort for long days.

I was looking for a light pair of shoes that would look good in uniform. These are it. I ordered a wide after reading reviews and it was a good choice even though I am not a wide. These run narrow specially around the mid section. I would have given them 5 stars however, they are not as breathable and cool as I expected. I wish New Balance would offer a non waterproof option. This option would be more appropriate for where I work.

I've only had the shoes for a short time, and enjoy the feel
The only thing is the toe box of the shoe is kind of tight on me.
I usually get New Balance because I can get the EEEE size, but these seem a little tight compared to the other New Balance shoes that I've had.

I like the lower cut. They do seem to be waterproof and breath well. I recommend you order a size wider than normal - I had to. I have never worn a wide before - however I do in this model shoe. I must add the return process is quick and painless - even from ALaska.

For a 4E, I find the toe area too tight. I have the 1400 that gives me more toe room. Other the that, I love them.
