These are well made nice pants. I had high hopes for them, but yet again they’re a pair of womens pants made to fit a man. I’m 5’4” tall, 140#, size 8 (occasionally a 6) and curvy so I ordered the Med. These were mid rise at best. Barely covered my backside. No where near the high rise as shown on the model…disappointing. The legs were baggy and a bit too long so going up a size isn’t an option.

I did like them, and I have some back beauty with no warm winter lining. With the warm winter lining made these to tight on my calves and I did not like the seam in the front. Loved the other back beauty better with the zipper on the side of the leg and not winter lining. Wished these were not so tight on the calves because the fit otherwise was nice and would have been a great winter pant. Maybe make them a little looser in lower leg.

I liked the style and quality but sizing was a problem. I ordered a Large. I had to struggle to get the pants over my hips and they were snug in the hips and thighs. I ordered an XL. They were too baggy. I couldn't believe the discrepancy in the two sizes. Could it be the Large had been mismarked? It fit more like a medium.

Love these pants. I got them in black but would like to have them in gray as well. I knew they would be great for hiking, but I also gave them a whirl on an 8-mile cross country ski adventure and they were perfect.

Really would have liked these pants but they were to big and did not have the next size down . I liked the style and the sleekness if the pants ! Plus the pockets!

I think these pants run a little small and tight. I am 4'10" and 105 lbs, and I ordered the XS. They are very tight, and a bit restrictive. If I could change one thing it would be to make the fabric have a little more stretch to it. Other than that, these will be great for hiking or just being out in the cold. The fleece lining is very soft and warm.

This winter pant is comfortable for the cool weather and well made. I am 90 pounds, and 4'11" tall; I ordered the XS. I have trouble finding clothes that fit, and was hoping this would be a wardrobe staple. Although it fit around the waist, it is VERY L.-O.-N.-G. on me and I didn't want to spend more for alterations. Petite or short options would be appreciated. Sadly, this was returned to the store.

I was attracted to these pants because I have 4 pairs of the regular Back Beauty Pants and they are my favorite. So when I seen these "Warm" pants I needed to get some. I ordered up a size because of some of the reviews. Unfortunately they were to baggy for me so I had to return them. I decided not to re-order a smaller size because I thought they might be too warm for me. When I tried them on, I felt the warmth immediately on my legs which was very impressive. I loved that part of it, but I live in Central California and I might not need all that warmth. I could feel the warmth radiating around me when I had them on. Very impressive. I also felt the fabric was a little stiff. If I lived in a much colder place I think I would have re-ordered them again. I love Columbia clothing.

I'm 5'6.5, around 160 pounds and ordered the large. It fits in both waist and length and is super comfortable. The seam on the leg is definitely noticeable and feels a little strange but I think I'll get used to it.

These are fairly warm, considering how lightweight they are. High rise, which I was looking for - if you like low/mid rise, be aware, these are above the belly button. They fit a bit snug - athletic cut, and are quite long. I got a small, and normally wear a 4 or 6 - they fit, but they are a fairly tight fit, and they are long enough that I need to either hem or cuff them (and I have long legs). This is not a very stretchy fabric, be aware, if you are looking for something with give,. They are not binding on the legs, but the waist is not stretchy. Nice to have a pocket - it is big enough to fit a passport or a phone - but because of the fit, you will really SEE and FEEL that passport or phone. Color is very nice - I got the plum, and it is a deep, rich plum color.

I listened to reviews and ordered 2 sizes larger. Mistake. Had to return and order next size down. It's still a little big, but with long johns they will be ok. I'm 5'6" and about 150. A medium would probably been fine, but I have large thighs so I'll keep the large with a little room and gap in the back of waist.

Nice pants but they run small. Will need to return.

I've worn and LOVED these Black Beauty winter for years, but my 2023 order was much larger than the size Small I purchased in 2021 and 2022. Otherwise, I'd rate these 5 star for fit, comfort, and warmth.

I wanted to love these since I walk in all kinds of weather. The top is so comfy around my middle section. I'm sure they are very warm, but do they really need to be this stiff? Also, the seam runs directly down the front so every time you bend your knees you feel that stiff seam. I will be returning them.

Look nice! Comfortable and warm. I wish they had front pockets, (but I'll live), and on the second wearing, the seam is coming unstitched on the inner leg. A bit disappointed about that.

I really wanted to like these, but the lack of pockets, and a weird fit-just a bit tight in the crotch- found me returning them.

These pants are so well-made and look like good, solid winter pants. I wanted them to work, I really did. But... I just could not get them over my thighs. No amount of pulling and wiggling could make it work. Maybe I'll try the XLs, but I was bummed that a size large fit me the way a size small usually would.

Didn't care for the fit on me. I would want a higher waist on this for the snow.

It is nice fit pant. Not as warm as stated. I live in really cold weather but this pant is not appropriate for very cold weather. Cold makes the outer layer of the pant very cold which freeze the legs. I am returning it back.

I originally ordered a medium which turned out to be huge. So I exchanged for a small, which is torturous to get the waist over my hips. Once on, they are fine, but I am going to have a tailor put a zipper on a seam from the waist down to make it comfortable to get on and off. I was amazed that there was so much of a difference in the sizing between M and S. They should be warm once tailored.

Pants fit great Except they pouched out at the hips perhaps due to the panel inserted for the zip pocket.

I tried on these pants and found the material pleasing, soft on the inside durable on the outside with plenty of give. The fit was less pleasing. There was fabric pooching out like saddle bags at the top of my thighs right at the bottom of the pockets. If I was leaving for a week of hiking tomorrow morning, I might have kept them knowing they would be comfortable and warm.

Wish these fit well. I wear a small in the other black beauty Columbia items, but this ran too tight.

I wanted to love these, but they are mid rise, not high rise pants, and they sit below the waist. I hope that Columbia will make more pull on, high rise pants, including fleece lined for the cooler months. If you like mid rise pants, these are high quality pants and they look very nice, but product does not match description and I will return these. Suggest that Columbia update it's description and pictures of product (pants) should not be covered up by models shirt.

I have another pair of these pants that fits well and love how it. It is warm and comfortable, however, this pair came to me with the seams loose and unraveling, not well made as my other. I took it back and will order a replacement in the hope that it will fit as my first pants.
