I own a previous generation of the Columbia Bugaboo jacket and still love it, but the zipper has died. The new Bugaboo II is a generally tighter fit, but that wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for the ridiculously tiny armholes and sleeve diameters. Also, the polar fleece in the sleeves sticks to the fabric of whatever shirt you're wearing and that, combined with sleeves made for a stick figure, makes it extremely difficult to get normal size arms through the sleeves. The original Bugaboo had satin lining in the sleeves and some other inside parts of the fleece that made it comfortable to get in and out of. This "cost improved" version of the Bugaboo jacket is a serious disappointment. I've returned it.

Overall I am satisfied with this jacket. It replaces a very similar Columbia model from many years ago. Two things though.
One - The breast pocket is located rather high and has a horizontal opening that is less convenient than the diagonal pocket on my previous jacket. It makes access slightly less convenient.
Two - And this is the big one - The inside of the sleeves of the liner are fabric, making this jacket difficult to put on. Every time I put it on the liner sleeves grab and are pulled outside the cuffs. I then have to spend extra time to reach inside and adjust the liner sleeves up as they are are extended below the cuff too much for comfort. I actually dislike this aspect of the jacket and do not look forward to putting the jacket on. I wish the sleeve liners were nylon or poly or some similar smooth material like the last jacket. Once the jacket is on it is fine.
I don't pay too much attention to the sizing guide. My experience with winter jackets is to go really big. I wear a 17/35 shirt, but got a 2XX Jacket and am happy with that. ( I wear lots of layers even under this jacket)

I love the thermal reflective technology of the Columbia products. I was disappointed when I noticed that the material was'nt extended to include the arm portions of the product. That was an unfortunate design change in my opinion.

It may look great however the felt like lining of the inner jacket makes putting it on if you are wearing a cotton shirt or any shirt other than a slick fabric nearly impossible. I have worn 2 piece Columbia jackets for over 30 years this is the first one I need to send back. The lining makes it really unusable IMHO.

My original Bugaboo coat has a fleece liner with sleeves lined in nylon to go on smoothly over your shirt. This new version has no nylon lining inside the fleece sleeves, so putting it on over a long sleeve cotton t-shirt makes the shirt stick to the sleeves and bunch up to your elbows! Sorry for this design change, as it's otherwise a great coat. Tried to use the insert fleece from my original is this more stylish shell, but of course the collar size is smaller in the new shell and my insert won't fit.

Bought this coat to replace a bugaboo that I had had for years (waterproofing gave out on the shell). But ended up returning in after a couple of days because the green color of the jacket didn't match the photo's on the webpage. The webpage shows a pale green, almost like you can see with glacial ice. The actual coat was a very intense medium green. Think astroturf from the 80's or if you took a green highlighter and went over the same line of text 20 times. Just couldn't stand the color, so back it went.
.
The Columbia store on the Mag Mile in Chicago only stocked like 3 colors, so couldn't see the actual coat ahead of time.

Fleece sleeves are too long, they hang below the jacket sleeves.

Only 1 top pocket, should have 2, and the 1 pocket isn't big enough for my cell phone to fit in it. The hood unzips so either on or off, can't stow it away. Fleece liner sleeves 3" to long.

The "fleece" reminds me of flannel. It is difficult to pull on over sweaters. We are returning it. It looks boxy on.

I have had this jacket for a less than a week now and find it is very hard to put my arms in the sleeves and just as hard to take my arms out . The liner in the arms moves so much that bunches up, I always wear a long sleeve shirt in the winter which causes this. The liner is not secure enough to stop this from happening.

This is the 3rd Bugaboo Interchange Jacket I have owned over the past 30 years. Bottomline up front: The sleeves of the inner jacket are much longer than the outer jacket which looks really goofy and is impractical in wet weather. I played with the sleeves a bit, so if you tighten the outer jacket sleeves using the velco you can tuck the excessive inner jacket sleeves in, but this is a really poor design and I'm really disappointed in Columbia. Additionally, if the inner jacket had cuffed sleeves around the wrist area like previous Bugaboo versions' the sleeve length difference would be less of an issue. Finally, the inner jacket is really thin compared to previous versions. The inner jacket in the older versions could be worn in cold weather, but this inner jacket is very light and does not provide much warmth and once again since the sleeves are not cuffed at the wrist the jacket is only good in cool weather. I've decided to keep the jacket because I got a really good deal on it and I can make the sleeve issue work, but I would not recommend that you buy this jacket. Columbia needs to fix this issue ASAP.

I took the site recommendations and ordered according to size smaller. Horrible decision doesn't fit its to snug and poorly made quality of fabrics used.

Cheaply made. This is the first Columbia product that I don't like. Will be returning immediately.

We have lots of Columbia gear for but some reason this didn't even come close to fitting my husband or my son. Arms very long, shoulders very wide. Not sure if we received a one--off or not, but it had to go back.

I purchased this jacket two years ago. The zipper has broken (see attached photo). I expected more from Columbia, and am disappointed in their product, which I expected to last for many years, not two years.
