I had a great Columbia ski jacket for almost a decade, then I got a Last Tracks I had to return because the zipper split open on day 1. Then I bought this one and it had been great for a couple months until this past week when the zipper split open from the bottom. Columbia needs to source better quality zipper apparently.

I ordered this in black with the grey and blue fleece liner. It came with a bright red and black plaid fleece liner. I don't think my husband would wear the liner on it's own because of that. I really dislike we were shipped something other than pictured, especially at this price. If it wasn't for that, I would give it 5 stars as it is a nice jacket and fits my husband great.

Coat has a nice feel. Arms of outer jacket could match inner jacket a bit better.

The inner jacket has such long sleeves they make it hard to get my arms through both layers and the they stick out of the outer jacket. It's not as warm as I wanted. So I'm zipping an older inside jacket into the new outer jacket instead.

I have several Columbia jackets and coats. This is the first one I am disappointed with. Just one reason. A big one. The fleece lining is a major struggle to put an arm in while wearing any kind of long sleeve shirt. So now it's only purpose for me is to wear the shell with no lining. Looks great though.

The liner needs some work. It sticks to everything but the slippriest fabrics. And it's not that warm.

Bought this jacket yers ago. Needed a smaller size. Disappointed on the new one. Miss the elastic cuffs on the liner. Miss the heavy duty zipper on the jacket.

Jacket is good, nice and warm. The removable fleece is also nice. The one issue I find is there should be more fasteners between the fleece and the shell. The sleeves aren't well attached between the two.

Got this jacket for a ski trip... Absolutely loved it for the first two days, but on the third day the zipper messed up and unzipped itself from the bottom after being zipped up... The zipper was totally unfunctional after that. Bummed on this one

The jacket zipper sometimes comes unzipped and is hard to get back to work and the liner is very loose and sometimes clogs up in the sleeves after you take the jacket off.

I purchased the Bugaboo Jacket a few years ago and fell in love. After the years went by i decided to get a new one. Unfortunately they are cutting cost as they are replacing the older metal snap buttons with Velcro.... so instead of a long lasting jacket ill probably have to replace this one sooner. Also the length is longer than the original and runs larger.

I wanted the Lohtse 3 in 1 with detachable hood( not available). I settled for the Bugaboo Fleece.

Today's styles seem to favor slim cut. I'm 5'11 and 190. Based on sizing I bought a large. The length is ample in the body and sleeves but the jacket is tight across the chest and shoulders. This will limit layering and be uncomfortable in movement. I don't ski but can't imagine raising my arms with this jacket. The zipper is plastic and needs to be a brass double zipper. The hood is not lined so you'll need a hat or ear covering in cold weather.

The new Bugaboo I just purchased is much lower in quality than the one I bought 20 years ago...the liner is very poor quality and too light weight IMO. and lacks the snaps to prevent the sleeves from bunching up when putting the jacket on

This is a great jacket for the price. The fleece on the inside is very warm. However, the fleece goes outside of the outer jacket shell when I insert my arms. A method to keep the fleece from moving independently of the outer shell would be helpful.

I have already had the zipper pull apart at the bottom just from having my hands in the pockets. This jacket is nice besides the plastic zipper, wish it had a metal zipper. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice jacket but it is just a little lacking in the zipper department is all.

For the price I paid for the jacket, you would think Columbia would embroider their logo on their product. Looking at the picture, it looks like it is embroider, but when I got it, their logo was just glued on. It will come off really quick. This really sucks for the price I paid. I'm really not happy with that.

The product description states, "A 3-in-1 jacket with a waterproof-breathable shell and thermal-reflective fleece liner you can wear separately or zipped-in together for maximum warmth." The fleece liner does not have the thermal-reflective liner, this makes it very difficult to put on unless wearing a short sleeve. Here in the Midwest, we typically wear a long sleeve in the winter, and it just doesn't slide with fleece lining. Nylon or the thermal reflective lining would make a huge difference. We ended up returning the coat due to this. It's not worth fighting to get it on and then having to push the sleeve back in. Had it not been for the issue w/ the lining, the coat would've been fine

I've had this jacket for a year now and I love the warmth and seasonal coverage that it provides. BUT, the pocket zippers on the liner get caught on the inner material the runs along the zipper. This morning, I had my wallet in my pocket when I had to stop and get gas. I could not zip open my pocket at all to get my wallet and ended up taking my jacket off and forcing the zipper open. The end result was I ripped the inner liner of the jacket. This happens quite often and mostly I would be able to reach in and pull the material out from under the zipper. But not this morning. Just for this point alone I would stay away for this jacket until Columbia fixes the design.

I like the jacket overall but it has a odd problem. The fleece, which is very warm, has longer sleeves than the outer shell. When you put it on you have to fight to get your arms through it and when you have extended your arms the fleece sleeves are stretched way out of the shell. You can fold them over or struggle to shove them back in the shell but its a hassle every time you put it on.

I recently received this jacket as a gift, Columbia Bugaboo 3-1 as a replacement for another 3-1 jacket I had for many years. I have owned quite a few Columbia jackets spanning over many years now. Unfortunately, I have noticed as the years progress, the quality of Columbia items has seriously become worse, cheep quality. Very cheep fleece liner that you can not even slide your arms in and out of, extremely difficult to slide this jacket on and off, and be very careful when you pull your arms out if it, you will get a huge static charge and shock when doing so every time! They should have lined the sleeves with nylon. The sleeves as many reviews have indicated and are correct, are a few inches longer than the jacket sleeves, so they hang out a few inches longer then the jackets. Overall poor quality for the price they want. The only reason I have not returned this jacket is due to I got it as a Christmas gift, or I would have definitely returned it. Two Stars is being maybe to fair...

Like other comments, when you put your arm thru the sleeve of the jacket it pulls the fleece lining out of the sleeve of the jacket. I have an old Bugaboo jacket, don't have a problem with that one because the sleeves of the fleece lining have a nylon lining so your arms slide thru without grabbing the lining.

I purchased this jacket for my husband as his 12+ year old Columbia jacket had some heat damage to the zipper last year. Expecting the same high quality, we were disappointed as the fleece lining is 3 inches longer than the shell. The shell doesn't even reach his wrist! Additionally, the back of the shell is tighter so he does not have full range of motion with his arms. Unfortunately, there is no way to exchange for a larger size and get the same great deal we got earlier...ordering from a retailer that we can return/exchange!

The interior sleeves are too long in comparison with the main sleeves. Not practical at all. Quite disappointed.
