I have plantar fascitis and heel spurs which have started causing me pain. I'm 68, and jog/walk frequently. My heel forced me to stop on my last long run/walk. Since I'm training for a half marathon in November, I was looking for anything to allow me to continue training. I looked at running website reviews for the best shoes for heel spurs. Hoka Bondi came in 2nd. The number 1 shoe (Asic Nimbus Gel) reviews were favorable, but noted that the toe box was narrow. I'm a medium width, more toward narrow in my arch and heel, but need extra room in the toe box. I can't comment on how these will hold up since I've only had them for a few days, but I was stunned at how comfortable they are. I've worn Hoka's for some time now, but a different style. I was able to jog a bit without any pain. I have never worn a more comfortable shoe. I don't track how long a shoe lasts in days/months, but in mileage. If I go over 500 mi in a shoe, I think it holds up well, and don't mind spending the money. I usually log around 1000 mi a year, so I'll see how these hold up and do a follow up review. For now, no pain so these are worth a lot more to me than what I paid. Comfort - priceless!

Hello! I had to leave another review. I wanted to add that the zero drop or very close too it is awesome for your back! I woke up with bad lower back pain and put the Hokas on first thing and I am not joking, my back pain was gone that fast!!! I am not leaving these reviews for gaining anything but to let people know that suffer from bad feet and back problems that these shoes are a miracle. And I am so grateful for them. I spent many years suffering in shoes that had made my situation worse. The severe peripheral neuropathy and lower back pain. And I know how it is to be in excruciating pain and hoping you will find a shoe one day that will help and make it possible to due your regular activities. I don’t know if I will be able to wear with a dress or skirt, because I gave that up years ago because of the shoe problem. But maybe a skirt?? I don’t really care as long as my feet feel good and they do now. The neuropathy will always be there but now I am able to do my regular activities. Go Hoka Bondi 6 !!!!!!!!!

Delightful! These little foot pillows are workhorses on the street. My weird wide forefoot and narrow heel tootsies love Hokas - I have tried Clifton and Bondi both, settling on this version of Bondi. I LOVE Hoka and finally think I will just have to live here and quit trying to go back to other brands for style as they do not measure up for CUSHION. I have had plantar fasciitis in the past and other foot issues and this brand is simply the best for all of that. The styling is not 'fashion forward', but I need shoes to keep me moving more than a fashion statement. Worth the $$!

The Bondi 6 feels about half size longer than my Clifton 4 and 5 but it may just be that there's more room in the toe box. Given that, there's no heel slip at all and my feet aren't sliding around inside them. I use an insert and there's ample room for that. These are like walking on thick marshmallows, but at the same time they're firm enough that my ankles didn't tire. I LOVE them. I walk on concrete floors for work with both an ankle and knee problem, both of which cause me a lot of pain and limping. With my Hokas, I actually have stopped limping and I have minimal pain at the end of a day of walking, climbing ladders and lifting. My doctor is thrilled. I don't know how a shoe can do all that since no orthotic, braces, shots or PT made any improvement at all...but I'm proof that these shoes are nothing short of miraculous. I honestly feel like I'm walking on pillowy clouds and for the first time in years, I don't notice my painful knee and ankle with every step. In fact, I only notice at the end of the work day that I'm not limping and in pain! I'll never wear another shoe again. I also love the fun colors.

I have severe, chronic plantar fasciitis, and these are the only shoes that are comfortable for me to walk in. I have them in two colors!

Like walking on clouds. I have feet that appreciate very few shoes. I’ve tried New Balance, Nike, Ryka and others plus have added orthotics. MEH......until Hoka.

This brand was recommended by my husband who has worn Hokas for years. He wears his for running and long walks. I ordered these first in the size 9 as that is what my Saucony and Nike shoes were, but they were to big. Ordered the 8.5 in the regular width and wide as I have a bunion on my right foot that is a problem with a lot of shoes. They came the next day, thanks Zappos, and the wides are the best fit and so comfortable! The regulars could work but the wides have a better fit for my right foot. My left foot is fine too. I have a narrow heel so was worried the wide would be to big but no problem there.

I chose the black color because the other color options did not appeal to me. All in all, the decision to buy this show came after a gait analysis I had at my local running store. It is a Neutral and offers incredible cushion and soft impact no matter how hard or fast you run in these! I have SO much less ankle and heel pain. I just ran my fist race in these and was VERY pleased with how well they worked for me. I snatched 3rd place for my age group for a race through Glenwood Canyon at 5800ft elevation, 40 degree temp. It was an awesome race: steady brisk pace and finished under 2hr!

If you can get past how dumb these shoes look, they're pretty great. They do feel like you're walking on a bed of firm marshmallows. They are much lighter than they look. All of the materials are good quality. My arches are average height and these give excellent arch support. I have a neuroma and these shoes have helped prevent it flaring up.

The sole is very thick and soft. The fabric on the inside though is scratchy and uncomfortable. And it is probably the ugliest shoe I have ever owned. Despite the comfortable sole, I probably will never wear these.

I love these Hoka Bondis! I have several pairs of Hoka, starting with the Clifton. I purchased Hupana slip ons for a trip to Paris last fall and they weren't as comfortable as the Cliftons. I was worried about ordering the Bondis, as I wasn't sure if they would be as comfortable as the Cliftons, but they SURPASS the Cliftons! I am going to order a couple more pairs of these Bondi. I have plantar fasciatis and my doctor said to stick with Hokas for the cushion and arch support. I also have the recovery slides, which I love. I wish Hoka made slippers and 'dressy' sandals, too. BTW - I also like this subdued blue color--I think of it as "blueberry".

Why switch? Stick with Hokas!

Amazing for anyone with Hallux rigidis. Extremely comfortable. Did 20k steps in them today, and I have no foot pain. I’ve ordered a second pair in a different color.

These are awesome. I have pain in the ball of the foot due to sesamoiditis. These shoes feel excellent and keep my foot correctly aligned. You have a rolling motion in your stride when wearing these. Since I'm currently having foot pain, I can't report on how it feels running. I'll update if anything changes, but I'm loving these shoes and think they're worth every penny.

I love these shoes. When Hoka put out the Bondi 5s, I was completely disappointed. No good cushioning. My friends agreed. Hoka 4s were great. Glad to see that 6s are like the 4s. supper comfortable.

I have a chronic PF and am always in search for running shoes with good arch support. These are heavenly comfortable, but just as they are advertised the arch support is "moderate". Overpronators (like me) won't find the firm heel support they need. But they are very cushiony and I enjoy that. I am size 7.5 but always order 8 online. These feel like 8.5.

I have mid foot arthritis, and it is hard to find shoes that are comfortable. These particular Hoka One ONe Bondi 6 shoes with the modified rocker soles are a godsend for me. I am so glad that I found them, and would recommend this brand to anyone with foot problems. I will say that the Hoka shoes that don't have the rocker soles don't work so much for me, but the ones with rocker soles are really great.

After suffering for months from plantar fasciitis and a heel bone spur, in Mar 2018 I bought Hoka Bondi 5 size 10M at the recommendation of my Dr. I used my own orthotics in them and they fit perfectly,, with incredible cushioning. They were they ONLY shoes I could wear for more than 8 months. When it came time to replace them I discovered Hoka had moved on to Bondi 6. I read the reviews about the increased width, and it's true, they do not fit as the the Bondi 5. My feet are very sensitive and need the M width of the Bondi 5 so I returned the Bondi 6. I am praying Hoka goes back to the original width sizing as I need to replace my beloved Bondi 5's. For those with slightly wider feet than a M, you'll probably find these shoes fit fine. Other than the width, I still love Hokas and recommend them to all who are looking for a great shoe. I am grateful for being able to have had the Bondi 5's to allow me to lead a somewhat normal life as long as they did.

I waited one year to write this review!! I have very terrible foot problems and for years have been wearing orthotic inserts. Since I retired I have joined a walking club and tried various brands of sneakers until a visit to the orthopedic Dr hoping to be fitted for new inserts! He suggested I tried the Hoka and now I am hooked! After reading the reviews I decided on the Bondi 6. They are a heaven-sent. No more foot problems and after wearing them for one year; 5 miles walking 6 or 7 days every week they are still well cushioned and showing minimal wear. Never in my life! I usually have to change sneakers every 3 to 6 months. Thank you Hoka One One!

Awesome shoe for problem feet! I have plantar fasciitis, peroneal tendinitis, bunions, and ankle tendon issues. I’m a former 80-mpw runner and marathoner and had mostly given up on running due to the pain. In these shoes I can run pain free! I’m hoping I may even eventually be able to get back to marathon training. I will never wear any other brand of shoe again. These aren’t the most stylish but I’ve ordered a pair of black ones with black soles to wear to work too. Comfort trumps fashion and they’re not THAT ugly although I don’t think I can get away with wearing them with a skirt.

My podiatrist warned me that these shoes are a bit funny looking, but boy oh boy, are they great for walking. I have a bad hammer toe and am putting off surgery as long as I can. These really provide the cushioning I need and allow for my orthotic (which is "floating" the sore joint). I feel like Tigger with all the bounce I gete from these super cushy shoes. I bought them in black with the hopes of wearing them with jeans as we tour Europe. I know my feet will be happy (even if I will be unfashionable).

I devolved an autoimmune disease that effects my joints and muscles at the age of 18. I was an athlete all my life and suddenly i was unable to run in hard ground because of the pain. After 5 years of trying running shoe after shoe, nothing provided enough cushion or support until these amazing shoes. These shoes were genuinely life changing for me and I will buy these for the rest of my life!

These are so comfortable... they were a little large so I reordered a half size down. They are still a little roomy but I just tie them a little tighter. I don't think they're the cutest bit I have gotten compliments on them! I ordered these om recommendation from my podiatrist cause of my very high arches and Achilles tendonitis. I have not had any discomfort since wearing these.

These are probably the most comfortable, cushioned sneaker I have ever owned. I have a problem lately where I have pain in the ball of my foot, but not with these sneakers. They are extremely well cushioned. I highly recommend them for problem feet.
