I am an avid runner. I had slight knee pain on other brands running 3 miles. Once I switched to the Bondi's, I increased to 6 miles with no pain. I have owned 5 pairs of Bondi's wides. I ordered the Bondi 6 wides, with high hopes this trend would continue. After a couple of runs, I could feel the toe box a little tight. Now I can feel the insert rubbing the inner portion of my foot. After several adjustments on the insert, with no relief, I sent them back. I ordered the Bondi 5's again

I've been a loyal Hoka Bondi user for 10 years now. I'm a 68 year old marathoner. No knee or hip pain running in Bondi's Just got my new pair of Bondi's this morning and took them out for a 5 mile break in run. Good news is they have added a more durable bottom that should last more than 200 miles. BAD news is they have narrowed the top of the shoe similar to the regular Bondi. I have a problem with blistering on my little toes during runs over 10 miles. I've always ordered the "wide" version of the Bondi to alleviate the problem. These new Bondi's have the same narrow top that the regular Bondi has. Ughhhh Why Why Why? frustrated in Austin TX

I wrote a separate review for a different pair of Bondi 6 that I use for running. This review is for the all black pair I use as casual dress shoes. Let me say this right up front, I love Hoka shoes. I have been running exclusively in Bondis since the Bondi 2, use the Clifton 3s for casual wear and gym workouts, and I hike exclusively in the Tor Tech Mids and Tor Summit Mids. But the last few generations of Bondis have had some plain bad design components. The new Bondi 6 keeps the awesome last and the upper design from the 5 which is great. They softened the cushioning, but it's still not as soft as the cushioning we knew and loved with older Bondis 1-3 but its fine for walking and standing at work. The tongue is still a MAJOR issue, it's still a hard plastic/rubber label over most of the top part of the tongue and it severely cuts into my ankle tendon (extensor digitorum longus) so much that after wearing for a few hours I often need to take Ibuprofen to relieve the inflammation. I can live with the harder cushioning but I am not sure I can live with the tongue design. A tongue is supposed to make the shoe comfortable where the laces are, not make it more uncomfortable. If you used a material for that tongue label like the label on the Clifton 3, I think you'd have a real good shoe (a 4 bordering on a 5). Come on Hoka fix the tongue so I don't have to look for a new shoe because I can no longer buy Bondi 3s anywhere! I'm a willing wear tester.

I have been running exclusively in Bondis since the Bondi 2, use the Clifton 3s for casual wear and gym workouts, and I hike exclusively in the Tor Tech Mids and Tor Summit Mids. But the last few generations of Bondis have been just plain bad designs. The Bondi 4 had a horrible faux leather tongue and I sent them back immediately and continued with my Bondi 3s. The Bondi 5 had an awesome new last and upper design but they ruined it with really hard cushioning (lots of it, but it was very stiff) and the tongue was halfway fixed by going back to a cushioned tongue but a stupid hard plastic label was added which was horribly uncomfortable so I sent those back as well and continued with my old Bondi 3s. The new Bondi 6 kept the awesome last and the upper design from the 5 which is great. They softened the cushioning, but it's still no where near as soft as the cushioning we knew and loved with older Bondis 1-3. The tongue is still a MAJOR issue, it's still a hard plastic/rubber label over most of the top part of the tongue and it severely cuts into my ankle tendon (extensor digitorum longus) so much that after running I often need to take Ibuprofen to relieve the inflammation. I can live with the cushioning but I'd like it to return to the old softness (after all that is what made Hokas famous), but I am not sure I can live with the tongue design. A tongue is supposed to make the shoe comfortable where the laces are, not make it more uncomfortable. If you used a material for that tongue label like the label on the Clifton 3 I think you'd have a real good shoe (a 4 bordering on a 5)... come on Hoka fix it so I don't have to look for a new shoe because I can no longer buy Bondi 3s anywhere!

I have now put 30 miles on the Bondi (leather version). Shoe break in was quick. Comfort and cushioning is fantastic. HOWEVER, the tongue is poorly engineered. The tongue on both shoes migrates to the outside of the foot while wearing (even when using different socks). I have threaded the shoelaces through the tongue loop (making one full revolution to hold the tongue in place) and still tongue slippage to the side continues. It's an irritating problem to me. I have not encountered this problem on my non-leather Bondis.

Hoka needs to find a way to continue the excellent cushioning yet create it in a more attractive shoe. Their shoes with great cushioning are clompy and too thick. Unattractive in certain colors. They know this. Please address it.

Loved these shoes but they blew out on the outside of my right foot. The mesh separated. For a shoe at this price range I expect a much longer life span.

Great comfortable running shoes but are not very durable. One shoe ripped three months after the purchase and the second shoe tore 6 months after the purchase. Wonder if there is some type of warranty. Thanks.

Every pair of these I get, and I've had a bunch of them. The soul pads end up peeling off. The blue pair I bought did it the first time I wore them. To much hassle to send back or I would.

This pair of Bondi 6 shoes does not seem to have the cushion that my other pairs have had. Buy them every two months and this is the first pair I have had that is not comfortable. Usually love Hokas.

I bought the shoe specifically to protect an arthritic big toe. I knew the shoe would be stiff. I just cannot get used to how I lose all proprioception. The fit is comfortable, stack height is massive but I feel extremely secure at the heel. It might be a good shoe for someone but I am not that person.

The Bondi 6 are the first sport shoe I have found that are comfortable and most importantly, relieve my plantar fasciitis. I am currently on my 5th pair. The downside to them is they are poorly manufactured and don't stand up at all. The previous 4 pairs I have purchased have all torn out on the sides after 4-5 months. They are very light weight, which possibly contributes to their poor quality. If it weren't for the comfort they give my plantar fasciitis I wouldn't waste my money on them.

We walk most days, usually 2.5 miles in mixed terrain. The Bondi 6 left my lower back extremely sore after each walk. I have been a long time user of Hoka and thus, this was a big disappointment. My feet seem to slide in the shoe, regardless of type or style of sock(s) used. While I admit to narrow feet and low arches, I have had success with your product in the past.

I just ordered and had to return a pair of Bondi 6 that were to small even though they were a bigger size than the Bondi 4 pair I currently have. I have seen several review that had the same issue. Anyway usually love them and have recommended them to many people but wonder about the sizing issues.

I have been buying this style shoe for years because it was the best cushioned shoe on the market. This Bondi 6 is not that cushioned. I have had both knees replaced and yes I'm overweight. 2020 was a bad year for weight loss. I was not pleased with the shoe and will not buy the B7 at $160.

The initial fitting felt great but after about an hour of wearing the shoes my feet would start hurting. While I was hopeful these would be a great addition the shoe just isn't for me.

I work for ss a supply tech at a hospital and I walk 7 miles a shift. I bought extra insoles because my feet was killing me with these shoes. I'm 4 weeks into it and see no comfort in them. I'm thinking of returning it.
