Walking shoes these are not! For the money it's pretty tough to give these shoes the benefit of the doubt. It seems like they are only good in short bursts or if your light as a feather. They seem great for a short while and then they start to loose support and sink in a bit, which feels like cramming your feet into a slowly constricting space. Really wanted to like these shoes, if you do more then an hour on your feet, these may not be the shoes for you. The sad thing is that, when you try then on they feel perfect, but cant keep up with long walks or demanding work. On the plus side, they breath easy! I am not obese, just tall built with a bit of muscle and some moss on the rocks haha. Learned a tough lesson, buying shoes online is at your own risk. I even had my feet measured, and these shoes "matched" my feet!

My beef is with the hoka one one, shoe felt great for two work outs and after that just like any other shoe. The bonding 6 I have been babying them because I'm afraid it will turn out like the one one.

I bought these after falling out of love with another pair of running shoes that required a significant breaking-in period (and which caused considerable discomfort in the process) and LOVE them. So much so that I have already bought a second pair. They are perfectly cushioned and I was able to run in them immediately out of the box and without any breaking in period. If it weren't for their lack of durability, I would absolutely recommend these shoes. But, I absolutely do not love that the soles are already showing significant wear, with part of the midsole already exposed on one shoe, after only 150 miles. I'm severely disappointed that I wasn't even able to get at least 300 miles on them before showing so much wear to the soles. I run at least 5 days/week and average about 50 miles a week. I rotate between 3-4 different pairs of running shoes at a time, so I would expect to be able to wear these shoes - that aren't exactly inexpensive at $150+ per pair - for more than 150 miles. At that price point, I expect them to last me at least 300 miles. So disappointed.

I've been wearing Bondi's for years starting with the 4, then 5 and now the the 6. After only 20 miles on pavement the sole has areas where the tread pattern has completely worn off. The fit is ok, I have to get a half size larger to make up for the narrow toe box which the 5 incorporated. The cushioning is no way close to the old model 4 and definitely not as good as the 5. For me the upper fabric is flimsy with no support to the foot and wrinkles easily. This means I have to tighten the laces too much to gain support but the wrinkling fabric then irritates the foot - a no win situation. I'll wear these out but I'm already researching an alternative. Hoka Bondi has gone from Wow to Yuk in my opinion .

Waiting to see how the new material wears on the inside of the heel. Looks like material a competitor used that wore extremely fast. Hoping that it is not the case or i will b leaving as a customer.

Limited width is why I had to return. I wanted to like them but 2E doesn’t work for me. Disappointed, too, that Hoka’s toll-free number was out of order and zero response to email asking about chances of offering 4E.

I measure 13 D. The Hoka 14 D was too narrow and the toe box too low (touched the top of my big toes).

I've been a long time Hoka wearer. I started with the Bondis and loved every step of them! I switched to Claytons to be able to do more agility type workouts (why, oh why did you spot making the Claytons, Hoka?!?!). Now that Claytons aren't produced anymore I ordered the new Bondi 6. They are still like fluffy marshmallows on your feet, but they feel extremely narrow--a good half inch of the medial side of my foot protrudes off the base of the sole. I'm female with a 7.5 foot. I order mens for the wider toebox, so it is very odd that these aren't wide enough for my feet. I've done some real low key jogging in them several times and I keep getting hot spots on my right foot--same spots each time. Will be exchanging and trying out the Cavu and Mach's in hopes of finding a similar feel to my beloved Clayton. I would recommend these, but might want a wide size if you have a large splay like myself.

Absolutely LOVE The cushioning. The main problem that is very off-putting with every running shoe that Hoka has to offer is POOR color schemes. Too many effeminate colors for men's shoes. Peaches, yellows, and similar pastels simply do not cut it. As a heterosexual man, I would not be caught DEAD wearing a lot of your sneakers for this very reason ! C'mon Hoka ! Improve this aspect, and I guarantee that you would sell more shoes.

They fit pretty good but there was a lot of heel slip even when lacing for it. The hoka Arahi on the other hand held my heels very well. Also, I notice a lot of ankle pail when using the Bondi's

Loved the Hoka Bondi 6 as far as looks arch support and design. It runs a whole size small and I didn't feel it offered stability for over pronating. Felt great as far as cushioning as I have arthritis in my feet and if it would of worked in other areas I bet the cushion would of been great! But I'm had to return them, going to try the Gaviolta.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks Beast

It’s a comfortable shoe. The issue I have is when walking it felt like your foot could easily roll side to side, which in my opinion can be detrimental to your ankle. They are really comfortable. They feel a little like walking on a cloud. The color is fine if it’s black. The other colors of the HOKA shoes are atrocious.

I love Hoka shoes, I own about five pairs of Bondi 5s. So when the six was introduced, I was excited and ordered a pair. The shoes came and while they were the same 9.5Wide and the labels were identical, the Bond 6 was a full inch shorter than the 5! Of course it was tight. I wrote Hoka, sent pictures and received feedback that indeed the six was shorter than the five and I should order one size larger! Great, now I had to run to the post office and go through the whole thing and hope the shoes get back there so I can be credited. Do you not think it is crazy that a company would introduce a new shoes of an established line and make it at least one size smaller? Who authorized this type of confusion? I wish I could post the picture difference - it's huge! This was not a labelling mistake, this is how they made it I'm told. So if you are ordering a Bondi 6, be advised you may have sizing issues because I sure did.

Have been training in the Bondi 5's in 10 wide. Noticed on a new pair same size that the insole is rubbing on the inside arch of each of my feet. When i pulled the insert out to compare to the my prior pair of Bondi 5's in Wide, I noticed that it is narrower, hence the problem. I really like the cushioning and want to use these shoes but for wide feet I must stick with New Balance, Brooks or Saucony.

I am trying to buy walking shoes and Hoka recommended this model. I had tried the Clifton before but they were too tight in the toebox and didn't offer enough support. This Bondi 6 is more cushioned and has a bigger toebox which is good but they still feel a little too much like a running shoe in that they are too low to the ground for proper support. Going to keep trying them out though. The biggest issue and which may force me to return them is that they are just butt ugly. The Clifton was attractive in all gray but these gray Bondi's come with pink red laces and pull up. Seriously? On a men's sneaker Hoka thought this would be a good idea? They look awful, I can barely stand to look at them and embarrassed to be seen in them. The only other option was a dark blue with yellow laces. Ugh. What is wrong with Hoka's designers? Are they trying to make the shoes as ugly as possible? Why can't we get a simple looking sneaker in all white or all gray without hideous laces? I contacted them after I ordered to see if they would switch the laces for gray or black-they refused. They said they don't sell laces either. Well, since Hoka uses thin flat laces and regular laces would never fit into their tiny eyelets maybe carrying laces would be a good idea. At least I'd be able to buy laces that would make the Bondi look less vomit inducing.
