Not sure if it is me aging but they sure seem to break down quicker than they used to. Comfortable and supportive though....

Based on my last buy a pair of Cumulus size 8.5 I bought 9 and feel a bit lose on the toe area.
Normally I use 8.5 but decide to buy 9.

I wear a women's 10W and these fit great. Surprisingly light-weight for a "stable" shoe. I overpronate so I need the stabilization. Really like the streamlined style.
For 6 months these were my go-to shoe for my commute to/from work and casual weekend wear. Even took them on vacation. Note, I never wore them for running/exercising, just walking.
I feel like they wore out quickly considering I wasn't running/doing high impact activities, just walking. See photos attached. By ~6 months the outer mesh had split where it creases across the toe on both shoes. Some mesh holes on the sides started getting visibly mishapen and/or frayed. The sole compressed visibly (especially at the ball) and the tread on the bottoms is very worn down. They still felt comfortable, but just looked ratty.
I know 4-6 months is a normal lifetime for running shoes (you actually run in). I expected them to hold up for longer (like 8-12 months) if they were just being worn for walking. If you are a runner I expect these would last 4 months.
Again, loved the look and feel. Would definitely recommend with the caveat you can only expect them to look nice for 4 months (for runners) and 6 months (for walkers/casual wear).

I have wide feet due to bunions and usually end up wearing men's 8 1/2 running shoes for comfort. These women's 9 1/2 wide fit perfectly and have ample cushioning. I just wish there were more colors to choose from in wide widths.

I wore year 24s and that seemed to be the year most of us agreed was a return to “the fit”. The Gel-Cumulus 18 ride was similar to the Kayano 24. All was well in Lindaville.
Year 25 feels like a return to year 20-23. Ugh. 24 feels like the standard Cadillac ride many of us expect. 25 feels like a Yugo ride, again. Still, I am able to order size 9 consistently year after year.
I’m grateful for the consistent sizing. I think my feet are shrinking (I’m 60). This is off topic and a short rant can’t find pumps that fit right this year (talk about tons of $$$$ tied up from shipping back and forth to And from Zappos).
Thank you Zappos for shipping that is fast. Happy 20th to the Zappos crew. Been buying for 15 of 20 years. Go Z!

I have a narrow foot. These shoes fit well, plenty of room in the toe, heels don’t slide. Good cushioning in the heel but not enough in the forefoot.

I have noticed over the years that Asics seem to be getting more and more narrow in the toe box. I have a pair of Gel-Flux 4's that I love and was hoping these would be a good replacement for...I think they will do the trick, but the toe box is definitely more narrow and squeezes the sides of my feet rather than letting my tootsies spread out like they used to. I do think these will suffice as a good all-around running, gym, spin, and workout shoe but if they get any more narrow in future generations, I will have to start shopping other brands which would make me very sad.

I have worn Asics for most of my 23 years running. I wore Gel Nimbus for years but had to switch to Kayano's due to an ankle injury (needed more support). Wonderful shoes. I highly recommend!

This is my daughter's first pair of Asics so she's getting use to wearing a stability shoe. She says she can tell the difference between wearing these and Nikes. She initially said they were stiff but realized it was just more support to prevent pronation. Now she wears them to work not just the gym. I'll give a follow up when she head them broken in and I can see how well they hold up to wear and tear use to rate the overall performance and quality.

My feet are just a size 7 but I will usually go bigger for running. I tried these in 7.5. While I felt that they felt ok while running for the most part, I got a callus from rubbing on my right foot. So these will either be returned or exchanged for a larger size.

This is an excellent stability shoe. I have been wearing these shoes for the past four years and they have been great for me and my extremely flat pronated feet

I have never found any Kayano's as comfortable as the 20's. But these are good. Better than my last pair but I was expecting the toe box to be wider.

Really love the feel and look of these. Lots of cushion and support.
Would prefer a little more arch support so that is my reason for 4 stars. Other than that I am very pleased.

I have had three pair of GT2000 and really liked them, so this pair was an upgrade. So far these shoes have been great. I stand on my feet for 10 hours when working and they have supported my feet well. I also enjoy walking for exercise, usually 3 to 5 miles, 3 to 5 times a week. They have are very comfortable for this exercise as well!

-The- running shoe for my feet (narrow, especially in the heel; high but collapsing arch; overpronation.)
ASICS GEL-Kayanos have been my running shoes since the mid 00s. (My first pair were XIIs, I think. Yes, Roman numeral designation) and I've seen lots of little variations and iterations on the Kayano in that time - but they always been great running shoes, and these are no exception.
Fit and feel of the 25s is familiar and as expected, right down to the slight squeak they make when running on a treadmill the first couple of days.
A couple of caveats:
1) I had no problem with the Kayano-23s (unlike a lot of people, apparently), and I'm still using them as my alternate running/walking shoe. (I missed the 24s for reasons, mostly medical, and didn't do enough miles to justify new shoes that year so I can't say anything about that model.) Compared to the 23s, the 25s seem a little wider/roomier in the toe, and the way the heel cup/padding is constructed is a little different but that's comfy and seems to work just fine.
2) I wear a custom orthotic insert, so I'm not relying solely (ha) on the shoe for arch support. The Kayanos do have a nice cradle/sling thing happening that holds everything in place and conforms to my foot for good stride alignment and no 'slop' with my heel rocking around on the orthotic or my foot sliding side to side in the shoe like I've experienced with some shoes.
Style wise, the 25s seem pretty... 'integrated?' with a lack of multicolored contrasting panels and visible trussing, and they almost look more like a casual sneaker than a high end running shoe, but I kind of like the minimalist look of them.
I've only put about 10 miles on them so far, but they seem good right out of the box, and I like them well enough to order another pair in a different color, so if there are any wear issues after I've worn them a while I'll put that in a later review.

I have narrow feet but need room in the toe area. I wear orthotics in athletics shoes. This shoe worked for my situation. Would purchase again if the shoe stays the same.

My doctor recommended these shoes for the stability in the heel, however I could barely get my feet into them. I ordered the wide version as well and that was not any better - slightly wider but my foot barely feet and I always wear 8.5 size. Beautiful shoe overall, just did not fit my feet.

I bought the Kayano 16 a decade ago, and the logo is stitched on externally. The shoes are still amazing looking today. Fast forward ahead, most Asics shoes are now 'knit' and the logo in this model looks cheap on the outside like it's a heat transfer -- it certainly is not stitched on or 3d like on the 16. Note, the newest model 26 looks more expensive with a nicer logo on the outside, but has a similar heat transfer logo on the inside.

Just took my first 3 mile walk with my dog and my new shoes. If I am not thinking about my feet, I know the shoe is a match for me....glad to report, I had my eyes and mind in the morning breeze and not on my feet.

Nice looking and very comfortable. The only reason I had to return was for the fact that it was a little tight on the width for me. I am 8.5 size arch feet with 10" round in the front toes joints.

Very comfortable shoe. Good cushioning and a lot of room in the toe box. I use it for everyday wear, not for running. Could be better looking, but I'm OK with giving up style for comfort.
