I bought these shoes for more support than my minimalist style running shoes. They offer a lot of comfort but runners beware - they are a tad heavy. Give yourself ample time to adjust. I love the color - I am highly visible.

I love this shoe-very lightweight and very comfortable. I can walk for miles. I've been wearing ASICS for 25 years. However, every single pair gets a wear hole from the big toe on both shoes. I resorted to putting duct tape on the inside- not a very good solution. The rest of the shoe is in A-1 condition. What do you recommend for me.

I'm about 5 months into the shoe with approximately 160 miles logged with this shoe (part of a rotation of Asics running shoes I use based on what kind of run i'm going on - others in rotation include GT 2000-8 and GlideRide) and while I typically am a fan of Asics running shoes, the durability of the Asics AHAR Plus outsole on the Kayano 25 is a bit disappointing. At the current mileage logged there is substantial wear on the mid-sole to toe-off point directly in the center (not particularly lateral or medial). I run a mix of road running and treadmill running with these shoes and recent running related injuries (bilateral MTSS and partial tear of right tibialis anterior muscle) has cut down my usual 20 miles a week of mileage to about 10 miles a week. I would have expected a bit more durability from the sole with less than 200 miles logged. Otherwise no other signs of wear and the amount of cushioning and the firmness of the shoes works well for me. Comfortable upper that is high quality with no signs of wear so far and I particularly like the Asics heel clutch exo-skeleton. Paired with a heel lock lacing method, I never have to re-tie these shoes even on my long runs. Would be an even better shoe with greater sole durability! Otherwise these are very good shoes. Only other area for improvement would be a slightly more responsive and bouncy mid-foot, but these shoes perform well on long runs regardless.

I started running in ASICS shoes years ago. I've tried other brands like Brooks and Mizuno but ASICS fits my long, narrow feet better. This is a very comfortable running shoe. It's kind of like running on a cloud. The only drawback is that they are much heavier than I expected. It makes them a bit clunky by the end of a run.

My feet hurt and feel tired constantly. Happy to say, after comparing and reading reviews of different sneakers, I purchased the Gel-Kayano 25. OMG, so comfy and my feet don't hurt anymore. I would have given them a 5, but I still have lower back pain. Definately will be purchasing more in the future. True to size

The size is a little larger than the prior generations of Kayano but the fitting still works just fine. The shoe stabilization is greater and better than prior generations, but I miss the cushioning, it seems like that has decreased from prior Kayanos.

My previous experience with the Gel-Kayano was with the 19, 20, 21 models. I first wore a 10M (19) and the toe/length became too short with wear. The 10 1/2N in the (20 & 21) were a perfect fit for me. I recently purchased the 25 in a 10 and 10 1/2M. (the N was not available) I find this shoe to be much longer than my previous ones. I am wearing the size 10M. Shoe is narrow enough, as of now, I did have to lace through the last hole to keep heel from slipping, I have room in the length, 10 1/2 was much too long. I do not feel that the arch support is as high in the other models. Heels are stiff from the outer plastic cap. I hope this review helps those with long narrow feet. Also, I like bright colors and the options seem limited.

I love the shoes but behind my heal the fabric is staring to ball up and it bothers me when I wear a thin sock.

Love my new shoes. I gave four stars because nothing is perfect. They are bigger than the Kayano 24 in size so my 8 1/2 are a little big.

Gel Kayano 25 has helped relieving my heel and arch pain from plantar fasciitis. They are fairly comfortable as I'm on my feet all day at work, but they strangely make my forefoot slightly sore. I tried on the standard and they were narrow, so I got the Wide width but it is not as wide as other wide width shoes. It would improve if they were a little wider. Overall the shoes have helped alleviate my foot problems. I would recommend them.

I have worn through the tread in just 8 months. I buy a new pair of Asics stability joggers every year. Obviously I am very satisfied with the comfort and fit. This is the first time in my 20 years of buying the shoe that I have worn through to the sponge below the tread. If you are planning on walking or jogging more than 5 miles a week on sidewalks, they will get expensive. Must one buy 2 or 3 pairs of these shoes a year?

Order half size up. These were not wide enough but larger size fixed it. Comfy. Should be great run shoe.

the comfort is amazing, i know these are running shoes but i got them for walking, so the toe depth is a little short after walking 10 miles.
