My orthotics first in fine however it was loose around my ankle, pulling down my socks as I walked. Plenty of room in toe box.

i tried these first with a low cut thin sock. There was too sloppiness in the fit (and my foot is slightly wide) and the back cut into my ankle terribly! When I switched to Bomba wool ankle socks, problem solved. Luckily I got these for long distance walking, not running. I think the back of the heel/ankle are would still be a problem for a runner.

The fig color is very gorgeous and somewhat unique - I haven't seen too many sneakers this color. As others have mentioned, the backs of the shoe comes up fairly high on your heel, but I wear ankle height socks and it's not a problem for me. If you like those super low socks, it may rub. These were very comfortable and supportive right out of the box. Plenty of room in the toes.

Because the heel of the shoe is more like an elastic material, it rubbed on my heel and would have caused a blister. I have narrow heels, so it may be better suited for those with a wider heel.

I wanted to love these because they were so cute but they definitely were a bit narrow on me. I had to return them.

Fit is fantastic and the toe box is a dream. Shoe is adorable. Problem for me was cushioning - not nearly enough. Had to return. If I do go with Brooks, I'll have to go with Ghost or maybe research a bit more for cushioning aspect.

I like the color ...nice shade of blue which is not too bright and the shoe width(w) and toe box hight is perfect for my arthritic, surgically operated on feet. The issue I have is the new style collar at the top of the shoe...which is a knit band. This style does not allow me to "snug" up the shoe to fit my narrow heels..sadly. I do hope this helps you make your decision on this shoe that I wish I could have worn.

Loved this shoe. It felt very supportive. It was just too narrow, wish it came in wide.

These were about a half-size too big. The arch support was not amazing, but they are adorable and great for everyday wear.

Very lightweight shoe. Nice midfoot support. Could stand a little more cushion in the heel as I'm not a runner but a fast walker, striking on the heels on concrete 8-9 hrs a day. Bought the gray with a plum accent, very pretty and coordinates with many things. Overall 4 1/2 stars because the shoe strings feel cheap. Have only worn them a week. Will see how they hold up.

Just received these and am very happy with both the fit and the style. To me, they feel like they run a bit on the narrow side, but that is perfect for my feet. They felt comfy right away. Having had a recent bout of plantar fasciitis, and also tibial tendonitis, I appreciate the support and the cushioning.

This show just wasn’t as comfortable as my other Brooks shoes.

The Brooks Ricochet is a quality shoe (like everything from Brooks), and it was pretty comfortable during my workout. I have a high arch so these shoes are great for me. There was plenty of bounce in them and there was no pinching. The foot feels really stable in this shoe. The only negative I have to report is that the shoe has a sock-like collar at the ankle, which is pretty stretchy but that bothered the back of my ankle just a bit. I wear low socks to work out in and the collar sort of pushed my sock down in the back, which I didn't love. My workout buddies commented on my new kicks and the consensus was that these shoes are cute - I got a lot of compliments on them. The only thing holding me back from a 5 star review is that collar around the shoe opening. Not my favorite feature.

I didn't even try them on. It's my bad for ordering. From the picture I thought the soles were a clear sole or close to it, when I opened the box I found out it was a light type of gold:(. I rated middle of the road because I couldn't leave review without doing so.

It was very strange -my left foot felt perfect and super comfortable however the right heel was incredibly tight. I wore them around the house for about 20 minutes before I realized I was going to give myself a blister on my heel if I continue to wear them. They were really cute however I think that the elastic around the ankle is not a good fit for me. I have other brooks running shoes that I absolutely love however this pair I cannot keep.

I felt like I was getting blisters on my heels after wearing them for only a few hours. I had to return them and go back to Revels which I have worn for a while and are much more comfortable.

I liked the style of these shoes and they seemed comfortable, besides the fact that the extra fabric around the heel definitely rubs, as other reviews state. I had to return for that reason since I wear low cut socks. If you wear socks a little higher then it would be fine.

Like style and fit and Zappos. The shoes slip on wet, smooth surfaces. Poor grip. Need to be careful.

I like them but need more support. I’m keeping them because I like the color and look of them but need a cushy insert to make them comfortable.

The fit was good and I like the way the shoes looked, but they are too soft and do not offer the support that my feet need.

Love the way these shoes look but the laces are not ideal. The material lends them to slipping untied often and in the middle of a workout. The vanilla color is really cute but also looks dirty easily. Great fit, great quality, not great design quality.

Based upon reviews I read prior to purchase, these sounded like a good neutral cushioned running shoe. I am a former runner of 35 years who due to aging issues have had to stop my favorite activity, but wanted to try again. I know exactly when a shoe will provide what I need for comfortable movement. When I put these on, they felt really hard - almost too sturdy if you will, with little cushion. This translated to inability to jog in these shoes. They didn't allow for flexibility since I have slight pronation. Neutral fits usually are fine. The lack of cushion & flexibility caused toe numbness and knee pain in my right leg which was unbearable, both if walking or jogging. I plan to return them and try another. I have had Brooks shoes that fit very well, so just must have been this particular model that didn't agree with my alignment. Zappos was extremely accomodating, giving me a discount that had expired (I hadn't realized when I tried to apply at checkout), upgraded my account and shipped these an another pair I ordered the next day. Account reps sent me personal emails. Customer service is exceptional!! Thank you, Zappos!
