Love brooks, should have stayed with my usual ghost style. There were too narrow across the toes for me.

I really wanted to like these shoes because I loved the color/style of this shoe and Brooks have been good to me. But these shoes just didn’t seem comfortable from the moment I put them on. I was not necessarily going to use these shoes for running—I am on my feet all day at work so I was going to wear them to work. But they are not comfortable enough for me to even wear around the house for an hour. The sole is just too hard and uncomfortable.

I am not madly in love with them. I use them for cross training and moderate running but I wouldn’t call myself a runner. My socks fall into these shoes every time. Makes me insane. Also, something I can’t pinpoint with the arch for me but my right foot hurts when I am not in shoes ever since starting to wear these. They are cute and bright though. ?????

Ouch, never had bunion pain until I started wearing these shoes.

Loved the style and cushion but the tongue of the shoe was too high on the top of my foot. I have never had this problem with any other running shoe! I am a narrow and the regular width would have been fine with a thick sock but the tongue issue kept me from keeping this great looking shoe.

Not pleased with changes from the original levitate. The heel area has a weird set up and rubs the inside of my ankle!! So sad because I love my original levitates!!

These are really pretty, but they felt a bit narrow so I had to return them.

At first these shoes felt really good! I like the energy they provide my feet to propel forward and the cushion is really nice even though Brooks doesn't label these shoes as a cushioned shoe. The biggest reason for not enjoying them is the toe box - it narrows too quickly. My toes felt squished after wearing them for a very short time (less than 30 minutes). I tried going up half a size but it was too large. It did help with the toe box and keeping my toes happy but it was overall too lose and my heel slipped in and out of the shoes too easily.

I’ve been a Brooks lover for years, sticking mostly to the Ghost. Decided to try these because they were so cute! And although they delivered on style, they were incredibly narrow, and I don’t have a wide foot. Toebox was squeezing my foot to a point I could only wear them for about 15 minutes around my house before needing to take them off. Returning them and buying a pair of Ghosts.

It was way too small In the forefoot. If you think you might need a wide, definitely order it. Medium was too narrow for me.

My usual shoes are ASICS, W size 9, and they fit me like a dream right out of the box. I used the Zappos guide to figure out which size to get, and it suggested a size 9. I would've gone with a 9 1/2, and honesty, I don't know if that would even work. These are so tight across the ball of my foot (my feet are a little wide, but ASICS work fine - note to Zappos: Brooks are considerably narrower than ASICS) that they're almost unwearable. They squeeze and rub on the joint of my big toe TERRIBLY. Since I got them for Christmas social season and not actual running, they may be OK (kinda like Oprah used to say, they're sitting shoes, not moving shoes), but buyer beware. If you wear Nikes, these might be OK - I can't wear Nike for the same reason I apparently can't wear Brooks.

The toe bed was tight from the top of the shoe. The Glycerin and Ghost offer more support/cushion.

I really liked the first version of this shoe and was looking forward to the 2s. When I first put them on I LOVED them: they felt good and looked great. But once I started walking around in them 1) the new collar seemed like it was going to be a problem rubbing against the back of my leg and 2) my foot moved around a lot in the shoe. I ordered a half size down but my foot still moves around too much. I think I would have become accustomed to the new collar.

The back of the shoe behind the heel comes up very high. It digs in to your achilles. Not comfortable at all because of that. Other than that, they would’ve been great. Returned.

Pros: like walking on air so you forget it is still not a lightweight shoe. Cons: (1) This new-style sock-like ankle does not work for someone like me with narrow ankles yet long/large feet. No way I can run 7 miles without an ankle injury. (2) I wore size 9 in the original Levitate but would have had to size down to an 8-1/2 had I kept the shoes. Bottom line: The Levitate 2 might be great for walking or standing on feet all day long but for medium distance running I'm sticking with the original so now need to stockpile before they disappear.

This shoe looks great, but the right shoe felt as if it had no arch support, causing my right ankle to collapse in with each step. Having had a knee replacement years ago, proper arch support is critical for my alignment and balance. I'm back to wearing Ascics, tried and true.

More of a causal shoe fit versus a running shoe

I love this show! The disappointment is that they aren’t good quality. I did but these 6 months ago, but don’t wear them that frequently and the backs are breaking down- the entire structure of them so much that I have to take time to “fix the metal or backing piece” so it doesn’t dig into my foot each time I put them on. I paid almost $160 for these at the time so I don’t think this should be happening already...

I love the look and feel of the Brooks Levitates however from my prior experience I thought these would run about half size larger. I ordered 2 pairs for sizing because Zappos has an excellent return policy. So I thought!! I could pack the sneakers in the box it came in because it was .5 oz heavier than the prepaid labeled stated it allowed. Took it to UPS for packaging and they charged me for a package. When I asked why?? They said I had already printed the labeled so they had to charge me?? Really?!
